You have developed a very cool plugin.
I do have one question. If I buy the developer license from your website, can I use it in a theme that I want to sell multiple times?
For example, a theme that I want to sell on Theme Forest.
Please let me know.
Hey AG, unfortunately we don’t offer a reseller license at the moment. I’ll let you know if that ever changes in future. Cheers! Sebastian
I would like to know how this plugins affects my site, like does it code over my website theme’s files or child-theme?
If I make changes using your plugin and then I update the theme, will I lose all the customization I made?
Does your plugin add code to my website or edit existing code.
Finally, do you have a non-wordpress version that would work on PHP websites
also, if i buy this plugin here from here, does that give me license for up to 3 domains?
Hey! Microthemer doesn’t modify any theme files. It simply creates an additional stylesheet – /wp-content/micro-themes/active-styles.css. This stylehseet overrides default styles in your theme without deleting them. So you can safely upgrade your theme without losing your customisations. We don’t have a non-WP version. If you want 3 licenses you will need to purchase on themeover.com. I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions. Sebastian.
The regulation of such pages can you do?
Great to see someone not sticking to the new support rules. I’ll be using you far more because of this
Hi Sebastian, i have a question. Sorry but this is now not yet clear for me, what kind of license do I buy here on codecanyon, is it the developer license?
Hey, it’s the standard license on CodeCanyon. You can only buy the dev license from themeover.com directly. Cheers!
I tested the lite version, but I do not know why it did not work correctly with my theme. Some parts worked well, but others are without effect on the frontend after ready in Microtheme.
I am using the theme OSWAD – http://themeforest.net/item/responsive-supermarket-online-theme-oswad/9001623
if I buy, can you guarantee it will work 100% ?
Tks! and good job!
Hey, sorry for the slow reply. I’m still catching up on things after Glastonbury festival.
I suspect the times Microthemer doesn’t have an effect on the page is due to the intricacies of targeting elements with CSS. I’ve written an in-depth tutorial that teaches complete beginners how to overcome all of the common hurdles and really understand how Microthemer and CSS works: https://themeover.com/html-css-responsive-design-wordpress-microthemer/
You may find the tutorial useful. But if you’d like me to investigate the specific individual problems you encountered with the free trial, please send me login details for your site via this secure contact form: https://themeover.com/support/contact/
And let me know which styles are not taking effect
Could you please validate my license so I can try this out on a site?
Hey, sorry for the slow reply, I was attending a wedding in the countryside. I checked your validation message, but CodeCanyon reports that you haven’t purchased Microthemer yet. Just to clarify, you don’t need to validate your email before using the free trial version. You should be able to start using that right away. If you’ve encountered any problems I would be happy to investigate this for you. Thanks, Sebastian.
Then why does it say “PURCHASED” beside my name?
with this plugin i can creatae displacements ?
Great Work! Good Luck!!!
Hi! I purchased the full version but the plugin says “unlock” and I can´t add more then 15 selectors. Why did I have to pay for a limited version? Best regards, Jan
Hey Jan, I just need to manually validate your email address as you purchased via CodeCanyon. The usual protocol is to send us a ‘validate my email’ message via the contact form on the right of this page: https://codecanyon.net/user/themeover
I will then add your email address so you can choose the ‘unlock’ option in Microthemer to get the full program. Sorry for the inconvenience. I wish there was a more automated way of doing things. And thank you for your purchase!
Ah, I’ve just seen your email and so have your email address, which I will validate now.
Hello, I bought it yesterday at Evento: Microthemer – WordPress Visual Design CSS Plugin – CodeCanyon Item for Sale
Microthemer. I managed to download it, but I can not understand how to activate it. Tell me please. 45 dollars just do not want to give! Thank you in advance. Or the request to return money!
Hey Ksenonsk123, I received your “validate my email” request and so you can now unlock Microthemer using your CodeCanyon email address.
I recently updated the info page for Microthemer and have since had a few complaints from buyers about the unlock process – not expecting the need to request validation. I must have explained it more clearly previously. I have now amended the info page so hopefully this won’t be such a surprise to other CodeCanyon customers.
Apologies again for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you need help with anything else.
If I bought a custom webfont font from myfonts.com and added the webkit to the theme, would microthemer allow me to adjust the size and weight of it?
Yes it would. As long as the font is properly loaded on the page, you can use Microthemer to set the CSS values like font-size and font-weight.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks, Sebastian
I checked all css based plugin . There’s a really important feature that missed .
As a feedback;
You have an awesome product but it only focusus css styles according to screen sizes.
You may consider css features according to user role or post types.
For example, user should be able to change different fonts or colors or something else on different author profile page according to their role.If it is admin just this, if it is editor , just that etc….x field is blue on Admin author profile page blue, x field is green on subscriber author profile.
Or user should be able to change post styles according to post type.
Hey, many thanks for providing feedback! In answer to the user roles point. We have got this on our ToDo list – sort of. But we were planning on making the permission to access Microthemer configurable. Right now only admins can use MT. We would like to make this extendable to editors. But we hadn’t considered allowing users with certain roles to edit certain pages. Is that what you’re suggesting?
And with regards to post types. This might be possible right now if your theme adds classes to the body tag e.g. ”.portfolio-post-type”. Microthemer’s suggested selectors could then be prefixed with this class to make selectors target only a specific post type.
If your theme doesn’t add such classes already, I may be able to suggest a way to do this by adding some code to your theme’s functions.php file. Please feel free to share a link to your site so I can advise you further. Thanks! Sebastian
I think first suggestion is misunderstood. My fault, sorry.
MT should be able to use only by admin. It’s not problem if you want to give persmission to editor.
My idea is ;
Admin should be able to edit author profile pages or post types according to their role.
A simple example ( I hope it’s logic)
A visitor should be able to see a different font style or another field css style when he visit Joe(editor)’s profile or his posts after admin edit with MT
Joe(editor)’s fields are green or Jane(subscriber)’s fields are blue. It should be arranged accoting to their role. Mt may get data with currunt user id.
You may extend this feature according to tag or categories.
If post author role is editor, selected field-area color is blue on his post.
If category is finance, selected field-area color is red.
If author is female, post title is pink … etc.
Ah, OK. I think I’m with you now. I can envisage one way to enable the functionality you describe. Have you noticed the CSS modifiers option while in targeting mode? It’s shown at the 49 second mark in this video: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbihjJl2l9
I could add a dropdown there (a ‘combobox’ really, that can be used to enter a custom class as well as choose an option from the list). The suggested options would all be body classes found on the current page. MT already adds page-id classes to the body tag for the page-id feature to work. And this could be extended to include categories and member roles etc (to ensure an appropriate class exists even if the theme doesn’t add it).
So you could select a class that says ’.mt-admin-role’, and then MT would prefix all new selectors you create with that – e.g. ’.mt-admin-role input.profile-name’. So the selector would be specific to a type of user. Would that feature provide you with what you need?
Just to confirm, currently it isn’t possible to target changes for only specific pages(without manually typing in extra code). Is that correct?
Actually, it is possible to target individual WP “Pages” and single “Posts” via the GUI. There is a CSS modifiers option in Targeting mode that allows you to make all selectors target a specific page by clicking a button. Behind the scenes, Microthemer prepends all selectors with a body class e.g. .mt-1234. But this feature won’t necessarily work with post-types or categories. I say ‘necessarily’ because to this feature did seem to work when I investigated the issue for a customer recently: https://themeover.com/forum/topic/custom-selectors-for-archive-or-category-pages/
But I need to do a bit more testing to confidently say the system works for categories and post types. That’s something I plan to do this week in response to @iber34’s comment.
The manual code option should be workable right now, if it doesn’t feel too technical
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers, Sebastian
ok, can you post here once you’re done your testing please?
