Looks good, i just wish facebook had a way to get a feed.

Yeah, FB Open Graph API requires OAUTH every time. In a later release of this utility, I’m going to build in OAUTH support.

Hi,

is it possible to combine two or three twitter feeds (from three different authors) to one chronological news feed? That’s exactly what I’m looking for right now…

Tanks, Peter.

Yes, you can combine any number of twitter accounts(or that of any other supported social media services)from different authors.

Hello,

Can i change my twitter feed to an rss feed?

Will i have an xml or rss file?

It seems to be a php file…

Regards

Yes, Media Bustle can convert aggregate feeds into either JSON , RSS 1.0, RSS 2 .0, ATOM , or into a PHP Object

Yes, the PHP Media Bustle Object’s getRSS2Feed function will give you an RSS XML string.

You can either call that function in a PHP file directly (which returns the RSS XML feed to the browser) or you can write the XML String returned by the function into an XML file.

Will it be possible to use your object to built a multiuser reader making it run of a mysql db?

Hi Dyvel,

The Media Bustle can already handle multiple users of any supported feed type. This means that you can have 2-3 twitter users’ tweets be in the same aggregated feed. Can you please clarify what you mean by getting a feed from a mysql db?

I noticed on the demo it is only displaying two entries? I thought this was set to display 10. Also, could you set the demo for some rich rss content with pics etc.

Hi Graffix49,

If you select the JSON drop down in the demo, you can see that 10 entries are being returned.

Sure thing, I can add an RSS feed with image content to the demo.

is this code support images in the feed?

are feed results saved/cached? Can i use cron to tell it how often it needs to go fetch the various feeds?

Hi Alphanumeric,

Yes the feed results are cached. In the instructional docs, there is a flag to turn caching on or off. And yes, you can use a cron job to periodically call mediabustle to refresh the feed aggregation.

Is it possible to get this to show my rss feeds, but randomize each item so there is 1 from siteA rss and then 1 from siteB rss?

I basically want a bunch of RSS feeds mixed together, but not sorted by date.

Is this possible, and can you tell me how to do it? I’m interested in purchasing if this is possible. Thanks.

Hi Gutspiller,

Yes it is possible. To do so you will need to take the collections of RSS items that Media Bustle returns, aggregate these arrays into a single array, and then call the shuffle function on this aggregate array.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

today i have buy this code, but not work for. i read and read all the instruction and work 1 hour but not run. http://mediabustle.plazza.ws/demo/ here is the link where installed the script.

please help me, why not working.

thank you

Apologies for the late reply Mounty, I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks. In anycase, it looks like your Web Server needs to be configured to run PHP code in HTML files. The easiest way is to modify either your httpd.conf file or if you do not have access to that file, the .htaccess file in the demo directory to add the following line:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

no answer!!!! :-( bad plugin, no function!!!!

Hi Mounty,

Apologies again for the late response. Please take a look at my suggested fix below and let me know if it works for you?

Best Regards,

Code Slinger

which fix you mean?

Here you go:

Hello,

Is it possible to combine 3 – 6 different RSS feeds and make into 1 rss feed export?

Yes, it is possible to combine multiple RSS feeds into a single feed with this framework.

Hi I’m getting issues running the demo..tried the .htaccess file and 777 permissions:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxx/public_html/xxx.com/demo/index.php:7) in /home/xxx/public_html/xxx.com/demo/index.php on line 54

Oops, that issue has been fixed on the Demo site. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi,

1) Does this support getting a Twitter feed from a certain user and publishing it as a RSS feed?

2) How do you run this on the server? Just upload it and call it right?

3) Does this script need any special server requirements? I have had PHP scripts which didn’t seem to work from my server before….

Thanks.

1 Yes it does

2 That is correct

3 It needs PHP CURL installed

Hope that helps!

Cheers,

Ok. I have installed it on my server. I’m trying to get it to load my Twitter feed but it doesn’t work….

http://supertecnoboff.co.uk/emkwanTwitter.php?feedType=RSS2

Actually please ignore my previous “angry” comment. This item is good and has some uses but the only problem it has is that it doesn’t work with Twitter. It needs to be updated to support the Twitter V1.1 API with OAuth support.

Thanks.

You have updated the product since 2011. Is connecting to Twitter?

Is this script still being supported? The demo is dead.
