Thanks, I’m glad you like it! :)

No sales yet :( As your first plugin I like the idea (im not using woocommerce but it can be handy if i do). Good Luck!

Thanks @ansateza, I’m glad you like it. I hope someone will find it useful. :)

Hello, how effective is the auto detection of a persons locations?

It is pretty effective, detects location based on visitors IP address using GeoLite2 database.

Hi. It’s possible that the visitor paying in currency detected?

I’m brazilian and and I need to show my prices in dollar, my public is in Brazil and I need that the currency to be detected the country (brazil) and the visitor see the prices in Dollar and Real (brazilian currency), but I need to proceed checkout in the brazilian currency…

Hi. Unfortunately this plugin does not support that. It is focused only on providing approximate price in local currency. Thanks.

Hi, Can you display the converted price in brackets with a currency code such as ($99.99 NZD)? Is it easy to change the position the converted price shows up if needed for my theme? Thank you!

Currency should be displayed like ($35.89) for NZD. You can use woocommerce_currency_symbol filter to control how currency is displayed, and get_woocommerce_price_format to control placement. See http://docs.woothemes.com/wc-apidocs/source-function-get_woocommerce_price_format.html#304-328 .

Hi! current now I am not using woocommerce. I am using Price table Can I use it for Price Table? And What will be the default currency ? Can we make any currency as default ?

Unfortunately, this plugin works with woocomerce only.

Hi, this looks like it would be perfect for my website! I basically just want this plugin to display the original prices on all of my product pages in a specific ISO currency in parenthesis after the original price. How would I go about setting this up (using the Open Exchange Rates provider)?

Hi maher37, thanks for purchasing the plugin! In order to achieve this you will need to tweak the plugin. I can provide a patch for you.

I’m going to buy this plugin but would like first to try it or at least to see how it works on another website. Can you give me a demo version access for a few hours?

Hi manastirea, thanks for your comment. There is a demo available on http://locurro.umpirsky.com/product/premium-quality-2/. Does that helps?

Thank you! For some countries, I can see only the converted amount, but not the currency. Does your plugin work for variable products or only for simple one?

Hi, thanks for checking it out. For currency symbol, it is a limitation of woocomerce get_woocommerce_currency_symbol() function, if currency is not some of predefined, it returns empty string. Check https://docs.woothemes.com/wc-apidocs/source-function-get_woocommerce_currency_symbol.html#440. Luckily, this can be easily fixed by using woocommerce_currency_symbol filter, like https://gist.github.com/umpirsky/5c4028d405abf5ddbfd3 to return currency code if currency symbol is empty. This requires some familiarity with wordpress filters. Regarding variable products, it shows price estimation for smallest price (http://locurro.umpirsky.com/product/premium-quality-2/). This may be a good idea for the next version. Thanks.

Hi umpirsky, It worked very well for me. May I have the patch for ISO currency codes too?

oh, great. I can handle it.

By the way, does the plugin only work on single product pages? I also have some product links added to pages by woocommerce shortcodes; woocommerce adds the prices, but seemingly, there’s no conversion.

In case it would be helpful to someone else, I added the following code to functions.php to use currency sign for our default currency (Euro) and codes for every other currency:

add_filter(‘woocommerce_currency_symbol’, ‘change_existing_currency_symbol’, 10, 2);

function change_existing_currency_symbol( $currency_symbol, $currency ) { if ($currency==’EUR’) { $currency_symbol = ‘€’; } else { $currency_symbol = $currency . ’ ’; } return $currency_symbol; }

I wish I could move the currency code to the right side of the amount, while the Euro sign is kept at the left side, but I couldn’t find a way.

@frankturley It uses woocommerce_get_price_html hook, it is defined in wp-content/plugins/locurro/includes/class-locurro.php#173, you can try to use it elsewhere.

Regarding the side of currency symbol, check https://docs.woothemes.com/wc-apidocs/source-function-get_woocommerce_price_format.html#306-331

Hi I just purchased the plugin and it does not show the currency and instead it shows a code. Can you please explain if this does not work can I get a refund ?

Hi asadkaludi, thanks for purchasing. Can you please tell me what currency is it exactly, what is rendered and what do you expect it to be? Thanks..

My store is in standard USD. I wish to translate to the country I am in that is AED dirham. since it was showing a code and it was messing up my theme I have deactivated the plugin. Still if you wish you can visit my website at customize.louduniverse.net

So, price is rendered like “9.99 AED” and you expect what? Please provide what is rendered and what you expect it to be. Thanks.

Hi, following installation, all prices on the website are still in the standard USD. I’m in UK and only brackets without any symbol are shown on the product page next to the dollar amount eg: ”$18.00 (14.79)” but nowhere else (such as product listings, cart, etc). Is it not possible to show international users their local currency throughout the site?

Hi kennysmith88888, thanks for using locurro! This plugin currently only supports displaying local price on product page, there is a plan to make this customizable in future versions, until then, this can be achieved with some manual adustments. Regarding currency symbol, I guess it have something to do with woocomerce price formatting. I can investigate it if you give me your IP address, you can get it from https://www.whatismyip.com/. Thanks.

Hi Umpirsky Thanks for your reply. My IP is: 82.1.229.116 (Virgin media)... are you saying it may work from other IPs and locations? Interestingly, ALL products (product and related items etc) show translated values on the product page. What adjustments are required to at least show on cart pages? Many thanks and regards

Strange, I just tested with your IP address (still hardcoded in demo) and got “€15.00 (£13.52)” on http://locurro.umpirsky.com/product/woo-ninja-3/#comment-35. Can I see it in action on your website? Regarding showing on other places there is “locurro_append_local_price” action that can be used, but some wordpres/woocomerce knowledge is required at this point.

Awesome work! Best of luck!
