Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your insights with us!
We understand that you liked the old user interface that you've already used to. However, we need to keep up with the times to evolve and make changes for the better. Habits are hard to break, but we're confident that the new interface is easier to use for most people, and it offers way more features that genuinely enhance their workflow.
We don't think that the UI should be compared to Slider Revolution. First, LayerSlider has already allowed a very similarly arranged layout in the past 5 years since the release of v6.0.0 that included the Popout Editor feature. Secondly, the whole industry moves toward the same design trend for a reason. Using a dark theme and side panels allows your content to be in front and center, without distraction or the need to scroll up and down. It's not a coincidence that certain layout and UI features have become so commonly used.
The new UI was inspired by our own use case where we constantly moved the Popout Editor to the right side, making a similar layout that you find in LayerSlider 7. Although it looks different, all of the panels are structured in the same way. You can find every option under menus with the same name and same location. You don't have to click more, and it's not more cumbersome to navigate.
After careful consideration and assessing user feedback, we've decided to move forward in this direction. We always strive to make the best and most accessible product we can produce. We understand that not everybody will like certain changes, but we try to find the perfect balance.
