I am changing a style of the button with the following code but when I hover over the button, the default styles takes over and I loose the changes I made. Any idea why?

$(‘a.jhButton’).css(‘color’, ’#000000’);
$(‘a.jhButton:hover’).css(‘color’, ’#000000’);

You need to use CSS !important instruction.

You cannot pass !important instruction with jquery. Is your plugin overriding the .jbButton class when “unhover” occurs? Why does it revert back to default class and lose the changes I set through jquery?

You can add !important instruction in css class and use jQuery addClass function to do it. To understand how the plugin works, you can find the source in the _source folder .

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
Uncaught ReferenceError: previous is not defined slider.js:151
Uncaught ReferenceError: previous is not defined
This is why the plugin does not work.

Please contact me via email if you need more help .

Oh! I’m so sorry, my comment above for another script.

How can I get this button to show up on a page in wordpress?

You need to include generated js code in the header of your website. Then add the correct class to yours links (ex : “jhButton big icon-charts”) .

Can you be a bit more descriptive?

No, sorry, I’m not WP user. Try to find header.php and put the js and css imports :

<link href="" rel="stylesheet"> <!-- The button font -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/jhButton.css"> <!-- Buttons CSS syles -->
<script src="js/jquery-1.7.1.min.js"></script>  <!-- jQuery -->
<script src="js/jquery.jhButton.min.js"></script><!-- Buttons plugin -->

Then add the class “jhButton” at your link, in your articles .

I am sorry, but this is the most amazing freaking script/art/treasure on all of Envato.

Custom generator? Yes!

Easy to apply styles? You bet!

Does not conflict with anything in this 10 billion lines of messy damn crappy corporate (ibm sucks) intranet code that I have in front of me? Absolutely!

Source included? Aye aye captn!

It took 4 minutes flat to have nice fat, juicy, glossy button ALL OVER OUR SITE!

11$ you say? I am still throwing my money at the screen… It’s practically damn free considering what you get in return.

Hello memfill,

Thank you very much for your opinion ! I’m glad that you like it.

I just love this script, so easy to implement, so easy to use.

I have a question: I edited the css, I wrote width: 140px, and then I entered the text to be displayed on the button. Now I have more lines (multi line button), and there is waaay huge line spacing. How can I make that normal spacing (line-height does not work).

Thanks for purchase . Try to add !important to the line-height style .

Hey I need to make this plugin publicly available for a site dedicated to button generation. How can I implement that? It should be similar to yours

No. The buttons are under license. You don’t have the right to distribute them.

Oh! Sorry but people would love to see this as a public generator than use it personally. This is how everything works here for downloads.

I don’t think I am selling your product or distributing the source files. They are just going to make use of the buttons not your script.

Anyway Good Luck! Thank you.

The buttons ARE the script. Generator is a bonus.

You can’t distribute them.

Super :)

I’m basically satisfied with this nice button generator. Although I cannot get it work under IE8. I mean the buttons I generate are shown “empty” with only the colored strokes around it. Please check out my website: with IE8 where you can see the “empty” buttons. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you very much :)

Hi loopus!

Please let me ask you something more although it seems to be some IE8 bug, but maybe you have an idea about it.

So the buttons look fine after I entered the new meta tag and initializing after ajax load. This is OK.

But the buttons won’t work in IE8. They do in later IEs and FF and Chrome of course, but not in IE8.

I use the buttons with javascript (jquery).

Button goes like:

and the jquery runs by id or class:

$(".vegyesismerteto").live("click", function() {

So all I do is loading php into designated div.

I tried a lot of stuff: # instead of javascript void, I changed live to on(...) and click(...) stuff, tried combine the different things to make it work, but I couldn’t.

I did serious research on the internet about this problem, and it really seems to be IE8 silly stuff. I could not find the proper solution, and I’m still looking…

This whole scripted stuff is going to my seriously upgraded new homepage. But when I checked Google Analytics, it showed me that unfortunately 50% os my costumers use IE8, so I wrote a warning message on the present homepage that they should upgrade they browser. Still it can’t be told that everybody could or would upgrade, but I don’t want anybody to be unable to use the new homepage.

I would be really grateful if you had any idea about the above stuff.

I don’t understand where is the bug .

Please send me the exact url via email .

Thanks .
