I’ve moved my website from managed hosting to a dedicated VPS and now my contact form doesn’t work. I get the message “The captcha field appears to be incorrect” when hitting submit even when captcha is correct. The site is alifeinbinary.com if you curious to have a look. I’ve made sure to install FreeType and php5-gd but am lost. Nothing is popping up in my error logs.

Hey pottrell,

I am having difficulties with the verification code for the captcha button. Right now, on nexusengineering.ca, under the contact us page, the catpcha button is blank or says verification code and when you fill out the other forms and click submit, it goes to a blank white page. What i am doing wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really want to use this form. Thanks

bty the way. I am using dreamweaver CC and have PHP 5 and gd.

Pre-sale question: I would like to know if this form will work with Bootstrap 3.

Hey pottrell,

I can’t get the form to work when the email is an @gmail.com address.

Any suggestions?

It seems like a bad idea to have the PHPMailer SetFrom parameter controlled by the users entry. If the user enters a GMail address, which A LOT of people have, you’re essentially claiming that the email is being sent by Google, which isn’t true. Those emails weren’t even making it to the spam filters for me so I changed the SetFrom parameter to an email address hosted on my server. Seems to have fixed the issue for now, but I’m sure there’s still a better way.

getting error message as “The captcha field appears to be incorrect” can you check that ?

here is the error message for your reference. look at the captcha section http://imgur.com/nyIoZz6

did you manage to find a fix ?

Hi Aananda,

I still can’t seem to reproduce the error you’re getting. Have you tried redownloading EasyForm and changing the minimum (just the email address)?

Hi, I have a problem. I want to use your form for a greek website I am developing. I ve tested it but when I receive the php generated message all the input fields which were typed with greek characters are not supported. To get an idea of what I mean, the text appears to be with symbols and marks like this “Τρίτο μήνυμα”. If you know how I can fix this please let me know. I am a beginner when it comes to php programming. Thanks

pre-sale question: is it possible to implement a contactform on a index.html page instead of an index.php page (with clientside validation through jquery?)

Update: Never mind, i see it’s possible :)

Hi there. I like the template a lot. Nice work. Would you be able take a look at my form and let me know why once the form has been “submitted” it takes me to a blank page that says “Message sent”? It seems as though the javascript isn’t working correctly. http://www.darkimagetanning.com/contact.html Thank you!

Hi, was this issue resolved? If not please get in touch :-)

Got a little problem with JQuery conflict. jquery_1.3.2.js and the jquery-1.9.1.min.js. The contact form works fine but the jquery-1.9.1.min.js conflict the dropdown menu taht use jquery_1.3.2.js.

If i remove the jquery-1.9.1.min.js it sends the email but the don´t display on page. How can i solve this conflict? regards

Hi, How i can add checkboxes ? can i do it ? Thanks

if(!$(”#checkbox”).is(’:checked’)) { errors = errors + “Alert
”; }

Is there a way to redirect to a URL once submitted?

Are you still after a response for this?

I get a captcha error in IE (even though the captcha is correct). It works perfectly in every other browser. Please advise.

I am receiving the following error message from SiteLock. How do I solve this issue? They are giving us 72 hours to fix it.

Synopsis: A CGI application hosted on the remote web server is potentially prone to SQL injection attack.

Description: By sending specially crafted parameters to one or more CGI scripts hosted on the remote web server, SiteLock was able to get a very different response, which suggests that it may have been able to modify the behavior of the application and directly access the underlying database.

An attacker may be able to exploit this issue to bypass authentication, read confidential data, modify the remote database, or even take control of the remote operating system.

Note that this script is experimental and may be prone to false positives.

Solution: Modify the affected CGI scripts so that they properly escape arguments.

Technical Details: Using the GET HTTP method, SiteLock found that :

+ The following resources may be vulnerable to blind SQL injection :

+ The ‘verify’ parameter of the /submit.php CGI :

-—output --- HTTP/1.1 200 OK -—vs --- HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable

CGI Generic SQL Injection (blind) Port: 443 Service: www Exclude Finding CGI Generic SQL Injection (blind) Port: 80 Service: www Exclude Finding

Was this issue resolved? I cannot replicate it…

No. It has not. SiteLock said that they could not help and to call the host. Hostmonster told me to call SiteLock because they cannot offer assistance either. Do you have any ideas about how to fix it?

I purchased your Contact Form product on Codecanyon. But I can’t use it because of my hosting settings. For the security, They Blocked mail() function on server. I only can use the SMTP function. They send me this .php file as a sample;

<? require(“class.phpmailer.php”);

$mail = new PHPMailer();

$mail->IsSMTP(); // send via SMTP $mail->Host = “mail.alanadi.com”; // SMTP servers $mail->SMTPAuth = true; // turn on SMTP authentication $mail->Username = “info@alanadi.com”; // SMTP username $mail->Password = “parola”; // SMTP password

$mail->From = “info@alanadi.com”; // smtp kullan?c? ad?n?z ile ayn? olmal? $mail->Fromname = “giden ismi”; $mail->AddAddress(“info@alanadi.com”,”Ornek Isim”); $mail->Subject = $_POST[‘baslik’]; $mail->Body = implode(” ”,$_POST);

if(!$mail->Send()) { echo “Mesaj Gönderilemedi

”; echo “Mailer Error: ” . $mail->ErrorInfo; exit; }

echo “Mesaj Gönderildi”;

Can you help me on configuration the settings for SMTP mail function.

Purchase Code is : cb2c78a0-3a0e-4edc-804a-b3c4dc8b24ff

Im looking forward your feedback as soon as possible. Its really important for me .. Thanks…

Hiya, I bought Easy Contact Form yesterday and popped it on my website. The only thing is it doesn’t seem to work on mobiles.

Hi there,

I’ve looked into this and it’s the form works absolutely fine. It’s your html/css that’s the issue here it seems. The “col-lg-4” below the contact form container seems render over the contact form, so you’re unable to interact with the form.

This can be fixed with either clearing the floats that are within EasyForm’s CSS or just remove the float:left and float:right on mobile/tablet view.

What’s happening is, your widget below the contact form is going over the contact form because the form is in a state of floating :-)
