This is neat, nice job.
Very nice work! I’ll keep this in mind for the future.
We need this stuff so much BUT customization options are necessary especially considering aesthetics ; arrows, colors or transparency levels and position (left, right) , width.. It looks so foreign on my website as it is and I hope you’ll work on some of those suggestions.
“Hide” scroller is AWESOME and GREAT feature and I’d prefer buttons (bottom arrow+menu) when on the top or adequately when on the bottom rather then entire bar coming out..
Sorry for criticizing comment especially when I’m sure that this is perfect plugin for some of the other Themes.
Our goal is to improve our products, so please don’t feel the need to apologize for the critical feedback. It is very useful! We thrive on it.
Your suggestions are very good, and I have confirmed with the team that we will add these features to the next version.
(If possible, could you please post (or email) your theme/URL? It would be helpful to see your design, to ensure the new options better match more diverse styles and layouts.)
Thank you again,
Hi again, I’m using http://themes.muffingroup.com/?theme=tisson but in my sharp red, blue, green, yellow style. I cannot expose website at this stage but I promise that I’ll post the link once I finish it. Is CodeCanyon PR6?
Thanks for your kind response!
No problem, and thanks for the update. We understand the “creative process” . Feel free to send it privately too. Just connect with us on our live chat tool, if preferred.
Also, even though we are going to be adding these options soon, you can easily change the style of jElevator by declaring your CSS styles.
Keep us posted.
i would like to buy this plugin as it does exactly what i need. My only concern is that normal people may not be aware that this functionality is available on a blog hence my question : can the “sections menu” be always visible and not only reacts to the proximity of the mouse?
This is a smart suggestion . We will add it to the next version. We will provide the option to leave the bar visible, but could you clarify if you actually want the option to leave only the menu visible too?
Basically, i only needed the menu to be visible but if you would implement the feature in a future version, you should put the four options :
only the scroll bar visible
the scroll bar AND the menu visible
only the menu visible…
my two cents…
Got it! Thanks for the clarification.
this is a very interesting way to display the “top/bottom” arrows and “anchor link” menu.
1) Similar to fab_thefab, it would be great to have an option to display the bar at all times, and an additional option with or without the menu.
2) Also, perhaps the choice to display it on the left or right? While it woudl be important for this bar not to be confused with the page scroller bar, it would give the creative choice to decide
3) An option to customize, as per masterzoran, would be welcomed!
4) Finally, does this respond to mobile devices?
Thank You for your time and consideration!
Thank you for your input!
1) This is a good suggestion; we will have this available in a new version.
2) The reason we have it on the left side is so that it does not conflict with the scrollbar, but you’re right and have a you good point here as users with RTL layouts have it on the opposite side.
3) Same as item #1. We will add it.
4) Yes, it will work on mobile devices but it will function, act and look like the desktop version. We are considering some mobile enhancements in future versions.
Is there a way to load this plugin only in certain categories? (or even only in single posts?). It would be also useful to be able to not load it on the home page, or decide where to load it (and not load the js / css dependencies when they are not needed).
Excellent plugin, though: keep up the good work!
Thank you for your comment. The current version applies the jElevator functionality to all pages. However, the next version will allow for the WP admin to select individual pages/posts to apply the functionality.
hi there – will this plugin allow to anchor text to jump to a specific point on a different page?
Just wondering if the new version is coming out anytime soon?
I too want the features that other in the comments above have asked for and therefore waiting upon the next release
Thank you for your interest in our script. The new version will be released in approximately one week. Please check back for the new version.
I am all set to purchase. Is the new one going to be out in a day or two?
Thank you again for your interest in our scripts. I confirmed it will be released with the mentioned features next week. Sorry for the delay (we are working on several new products and updates to existing scripts), but I made sure the team knows to get jElevator posted this week.
Check back for it.
Sent you an email – really looking forward to the next version – please notify me when it is uploaded to CC – thanks for your efforts to better the WP community!!
We did receive your email and we’ll certainly notify you when the next version is released. Thank you for your interest!
Is there a definitive date for the release of the new version you promised? This plugin is great but the possibility to load it only on posts (and exclude it from the home page and regular pages) is much needed, as per requested by other users, plus compatibility with wp 3.8 and a better mobile experience…
It would be great to have this done asap.
Thank you for your comment and interest in jElevator. We’re working to have an update as soon as possible, and are aiming to have it released before next week. Thank you for your patience. Please let us know if you have any other questions or feature requests.
That would be great, thanks very much. And if you managed to include in this release the capability to choose whether to display the bar on the right or on the left, that would make my life much easier too!
We just wanted to confirm that the capability to choose what side the bar is displayed on will indeed be included in the next release.
The new release has been uploaded and is awaiting approval from CodeCanyon. You will receive an email notice from them once it is available for download.
superb update, many thanks
I wanted to know if the new updated version has the function like someone else asked before, see below. So basically the bar must be visible. And also I would like to know if there is an mobile version. Also like asked before.
i would like to buy this plugin as it does exactly what i need. My only concern is that normal people may not be aware that this functionality is available on a blog hence my question : can the “sections menu” be always visible and not only reacts to the proximity of the mouse? best
And also: can I exlcude it from specific pages like Homepage?
And what if I don’t want to inlcude H4 for example, does it then work only with H1,2,3,5 en 6 if I include this in the code? So H4 will be automatically disabled in the side panel and not be visible?
The latest version of jElevator plugin for WordPress has options “Menu Always Visible” and “Generate Outline Using the Following HTML Tags”. You can use those tags to setup the script as you mentioned.
It does not have the ability to exclude it from specific pages. We will add this to the next version though.
Hi, Pre-Purchase question:
Does this plugin have the ability to show a list of different anchor links depending on which page you are on?
The WordPress version of jElevator does not allow for this functionality. However, you could just use the regular JS version of jElavator and add calls with different selectors to your WP template files. Hope this info helps.
Awesome plugin! I’m definitely going to add it to my watch list. Like a previous commenter said, I’d need some more customization options before purchasing. What I’m really looking for is bullets (e.g. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/)
Thank you for your comments! Please elaborate on the type of bullet customizations you are looking for.
Hi w3Blender, sorry for the delay. Thank you for getting back with me. Here’s a WordPress example: http://www.6wunderkinder.com/en/#/welcome. Each page section section has an anchor and a corresponding bullet. When you click on a bullet, you move to that page section.
Thank you for the clarification. I discussed it with the team, and we actually have a different script we are considering to release which will have this type of functionality to support single page sites (plus other cool features). jElevator is more geared to contextual titles and headings. If you like, I can update you if and when we release this product.
That would be great, thank you!
Super .. Just what i needed.
If you are still building on this plugin. Then it would be great if it was possible to adjust how wide the Scroll Bar can be and also possibility to use bigger buttons so members easier could understand and see.
Else a very great program.
Oh. And a way to add codes on pages that could be used instead of h tags. Would give me better possibilities to place the scroll steps exactly where i wanted it to be.
Thank you for your input. Both suggestions would be good features for the jElevator script. We will plan to add these on an upcoming version.
are you still updating and modifying this plugin?
The jElevator Plugin is still an active script. There is not a date available for our next release of the plugin version. If there are features you wish to request, please list them and we will consider them as development proceeds.
