Thank you so much! WiseLoop.

Nice work, GLWS! :)

Thanks! :)

Is this more for testing the speed of my server, or is it suppose to be a service that users can test their speed?

I ask because your script reports me at 7.x mbps, but speedtest.net reports me at 57.x speed.

Hello and thanks for getting in touch,

WiseLoop AngularJS Network Speed Tester is designed to offer a network bandwidth check against your internet server. So, it will measure the speed between a browser and the server where the script is installed.

Cheers!

Great work! Does it work on Android ?

Hello and thank you for getting in touch,
Yes, it works on Android devices also.
Cheers!

30 minutes after i installed it the code has been cracked and send spam… The file was not public.

And the script shows abolutely wrong values:

Speedstest mini: http://i.imgur.com/sBwOhay.png This script: http://i.imgur.com/qojfsai.png

The server is the same in both cases. DO NOT BUY!

Hello and thank you for buying.

I’m sorry to hear that your server was cracked. Of course, it was not because of our script at all. If that happened already, it is just a matter of time until a new incident will occur. You should be more carefull regarding security of your server regardless of the scripts installed there. Nevertheless, if you really do believe that you were creacked because of our script please send us more details to investigate.
Regarding the results, you were comparing two different things, RadioCompanyNet had a very good comment on this: “I think people have to remember that this is a test of the NETWORK. The results show the weakest (slowest) route. I have to get across the pacific and then to Chicago. I have 30Mb broadband, but the speed I get is determined by the links out of HK. So if this was a test into Thailand, the speed would be S*1T. To Singapore I would get better than in HK. It all depends on the links, and your own Broadband speed.”
Ookla uses oockla’s bandwidth against the server, the script uses your bandwidth against the server; also your bandwidth might vary more or less because it is dependent on the whole client computer internet activity at at a given time; also due to the fact that it runs as JavaScript inside a browser, the results depends also on the browser load at that time. So even if the target server has high speeds capabilities, it is possible that you don’t have that broadband speed available onto your computer as your server has. Anyway, to increase the accuracy maybe you should try to increase the payloads (dowload and upload).

In the future, please refrain yourself giving advices on to buy or not to buy envato items until you fully understand them as generally it’s a very good idea to contact the authors first if you have any kind of problems with a specific item before giving bad rates and comments.
We are really very open and willing to help anyone (see out support policy: http://wiseloop.com/support-policy ) and no question is left without an answer.

Cheers!

Nice product. So, let me get this straight: it is testing the client’s max download and upload speed from the server? And so if the server was sufficiently fast, it would be an effective means of testing the local broadband connection speed?

Cheers

Hello and thank you for getting in touch,
This is testing the speed between your client (browser) and your server (where the script is installed). That means it shows the weakest (slowest) route between the two. The results are also influenced by the browser load at the testing time, the server load at the testing time and the JavaScript engine it self; so if these influences are reduced to zero (which is quite hard), then yes, it can be used to measure the local broadband speed. Anyway, for testing local broadband speeds, I believe that there are other more accurate tools that will give better results when dealing with really high speeds. This script can give you pretty accurate results, even for high speeds but they can have a certain amount of inconsistency due to the factors mentioned above.
Cheers!

hi wiseloop, i took your advise and bought this product, can this run standalone as a website? can you help me put a simple banner on my site please?

thank you!

Hello and thank you for buying,

Yes, the script can be configured as a standalone website. Regarding installing banner ads, we only offer support for our products. Unfortunately installing 3rd party banner ads does not comply with our support policy.

Cheers!

Hi Wiseloop, can you send me a sample html where i can use it?

Hello,

Of course, everything you need its right there in the included samples and documentation. Check source code of this very basic sample: http://wiseloop.com/demo/javascript-network-speed-tester/2.default

Good luck!

Hello, when I test my connection by a different tool it shows 24 Mbps, while your tool shows 6 Mbps. I test it for weeks and it’s always the same.

Test is not working well. It test my DWNLD speed 26 Mbps and I have tested it again immediatelly in other program (well known here) and have 80Mbps.

Ok, thx for explanation, so I will not purchase it. Thx

You’re welcome.

how to increase the parallel sessions?

i want to increase both payload and parallel connections, to achieve optimal throughput, we must find the best balance number of parallel connections + payload load size

i want to issue 10 GET commands at the same time is it possible?

Our measurement script was not designed to issue parallel requests. The measurement is done by computing an average speed from several sequential requests. We will think about this, run some tests and if this will lead to higher accuracy we will consider adding this to future versions.
Thank you so much!

I get a 405 error in my console when the upload is attempted. Any ideas why that would be? I tried changing the permissions of the folder to 777 but no joy. Thanks

I doubt that it is due to the server not allowing POST requests. Something I have noticed though; Are the files ping.php ping.html etc supposed to all be empty? Cheers

I got it working by replacing reference to ping.html with ping.php in the js file, and it’s doing what I need. Thanks :D

Hello,
Great you managed to figure it out!
Thanks for letting us know! :)

I just used your live demo and find out that ping measurement differ from other speed tester, faster in two tree times by your test, can you tell me please why it so.

Thanks
