Is the application build on the latest Laravel Version ?

The Application is build on top of Laravel 5.0 and 5.1 – TeamDeck is maintained in both Versions since the Framework 5.1 is limited to PHP5.5.9+. How ever both application versions have the same features (there is no difference except the Framework Version). We maintained the Software in Both Versions because most of the hosting providers support max PHP5.4 and since Laravel 5.0 requires that version or higher we decided to keep it maintained in parallel with 5.1.

Application System Requirements

Since the script is based on the Laravel 5.0 framework the same system requirements apply to the “TeamDeck” application :

PHP >= 5.4
Mcrypt PHP Extension
OpenSSL PHP Extension
Mbstring PHP Extension
Tokenizer PHP Extension

As of PHP 5.5, some OS distributions may require you to manually install the PHP JSON extension. When using Ubuntu, this can be done via apt-get install php5-json.

For more details about the requirements please visit http://laravel.com/docs/5.0

Server Side File Permissions Issue

The file permissions rules are different from host to host. In general we would suggest to set the file permissions to “644” and folder “755” (only for storage folder 777) . How ever the installer it self will try to fix the permissions for you but it might fail due to the host limitation and you would have to apply these changes on your own as it’s explained during the installation.
