Hey, nice product. I just need help with one thing. When I type in a field the progress bar works perfectly but I think the code breaks down and the progress bar does not work if I type in a field, delete what I typed in, the percentage does not go back if I type in again.

Thank you.

Hello grandstylus16. Thank you for purchase. I completely rewrote the plugin and I can say that many bugs have been fixed. Formeter v1.2 will come out right after the documentation and tests will be done. Tomorrow night should be online, depending on how fast a moderator approve the new version

v1.2 has been submitted 8 hours ago and I’m still waiting for a reviewer to approve the new package. Anyway, I’ve updated the demo page Sorry for the long wait. Cheers

Hello – great plugin.

One question. I want to use the multi-step form progression. I have a good few steps involved – more than 10. Can you show me an example of how to implement this in the js format.

$(’.step1’).on(‘click’,function(e){ e.preventDefault(); $(this).parents(’#step1’).fadeOut(‘normal’, function(){ $(’#step2’).fadeIn(); }); }); $(’.step2’).on(‘click’,function(e){ e.preventDefault(); $(this).parents(’#step2’).fadeOut(‘normal’, function(){ $(’#step1’).fadeIn(); }); });

I can’t get it to work for Step3, Step4 etc.

And how do I edit the css for each step?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Emmet

Thanks, Emmet ! Here it is: http://www.wiredshack.com/multistep/ . What do you mean by “js format” ? Same function but written in pure javascript ?

Thanks for the prompt reply. That’s great. Looks really good.

One thing that might help me more: Is it possible to have a ‘next’ & ‘prev’ button(s) at the base of each step, without having the ‘steps 1 to 10’ show above the form?

Thanks again, Emmet

I love the design of the script, but I am having a little bit of a problem. I am hoping it is a quick fix.

I am using JotForm for a Multi-Stage form that has a bunch conditional buttons as well. When I add your code all of my steps and conditional actions don’t work. It seems to be a contradiction with the jquery.min.js script. When I take it out my original form works, but the progress bar doesn’t work.

Hopefully you can help me out?

Thank you, smwise2. jquery.min.js library should be included only once and all your scripts based on jquery will work, inclusive forMeter. Please send me an email with the link and i’ll try to figure out what is the issue.

Replace:
<script type="text/javascript">
    $(function(){
        $('#percentage').formProgress({
            speed : 500, // duration of the animation, expressed in milliseconds
            style : 'green', // CSS class assigned to the progress bar
            bubble : false, // Display percentage bubble under the progress bar
            minPercent : 45, // Prevents submitting if the user has not reached this percentage
            message : 'Please fill the required fields !', // The error message displayed to the user
            selector : '.recommended' // The class assigned to each "input", which we want to count
        });
    });
</script>
with
<script type="text/javascript">
    var $jq = jQuery.noConflict();
    $jq(function(){
        $jq('#percentage').formProgress({
            speed : 500, // duration of the animation, expressed in milliseconds
            style : 'green', // CSS class assigned to the progress bar
            bubble : false, // Display percentage bubble under the progress bar
            minPercent : 45, // Prevents submitting if the user has not reached this percentage
            message : 'Please fill the required fields !', // The error message displayed to the user
            selector : '.recommended' // The class assigned to each "input", which we want to count
        });
    });
</script>
Everything should be fine :)

Hi, I sent person email, maybe as this has not been updated for a while you are not so buys, great little script, but I having issues as per my email, can you advise please.

Regards.

I found it does not work with jquery from 1.9 or greater. in you js code the failure is here: var filled = $(sel + “[value!=’‘]”).not(’:checkbox, :radio’).length + $(sel + ’:checked’).length;

I am no expert on jquery to suggest a fix. seeing you have not replied to any further emails I assume there is no long any support on this little app.

For future reference replacing:

var filled = $(sel + “[value!=’‘]”).not(’:checkbox, :radio’).length + $(sel + ’:checked’).length;

with:

var filled = $(sel).filter(function(){ return $(this).val(); }).not(’:checkbox, :radio’).length + $(sel + ’:checked’).length;

seems to fix the compatibility issue with Jquery 1.9 and beyond.

Mind you I haven’t done extensive testing but I figured I might as well share for people like, mikeybabes68 and myself.

This script isn’t working for me at all. Using JQuery 1.11.0.

Hey there,

I want to use this for my uploader script. Any idea as to how I integregrate it? I will use it to indicate how much a file has been uploaded and such..

Hi dilyar, Sorry for the late reply but lately I have not been very active on codecanyon. For that task you have to use progress events (more info here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/XMLHttpRequest/Using_XMLHttpRequest#Monitoring_progress ). Formeter plugin will not display the percentage of transfer status.

Hi,

Thx for this script. I want to use it on Bootstrap and it doesn’t work on. I use Bootstrap 3.3.1 with jquery-1.11.2.min.js. I have others jquery scripts on this page. The name page is call “index.html”.

Thx :)

I will try to update it because it’s been almost 1 year since the last update :). Sorry for the inconvenience

ok thank you I looking forward to the new script. :)

I just received your email this morning. Actually I will start working at the new version right now. Should be up soon, after approval.

Hello,

I’ve read the documentation, but (as the newbie that I am) still can’t figure out how to install it correctly. I managed to get the formeter.1.3.js uploaded to the js folder (if that is indeed its correct place), but I have no clue how to do the other stuff.

I’ve managed to do a lot when creating my website, but I still have difficulties when it comes to code, especially where to add it (which files and so on…).

I usually manage to figure stuff out on my own.,Sometimes, however, I just need a little push in the right direction and I’ll get the rest sorted out myself.

Hope you can help.

Thanks, Havard

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry for being late with my response! As I still haven’t installed the plugin, I would be very happy if you could help with the install. The website is https://wildworldcommunity.com but I guess you need login info to help me with this and that I need to share in private. Where can I do this?

Hi, Please send me the login info on email or via Skype at Wdub A. I’d be happy to help you.

Hi, I sent an email to you a few days ago through your profile on this site. Just to let you know, in case it went in to your spam folder. Thanks!
