Hi there, I suspect either this plugin or the WPWeb Updater plugin has a security flaw that has allowed both filesystem writes and database writes. I’ve tried emailing your pre-sales support address but have received no response. I should stress to others that I don’t have conclusive proof of this but out of the 120 odd sites we have, the only 5 that were hacked (in an identical way) were the 5 that had the latest version of Follow My Blog Post and the WPWeb Updater plugin installed. The other sites didn’t have the WPWeb Updater and had an older version of Follow My Blog Post. I’ve also confirmed that another user on Stack Overflow who suffered an identical hack also has WPWeb Updater installed. Unfortunately the attackers use POST requests to place the files and update the database and my logging didn’t include the POST body so I can’t see how they’re executing the attack. I think the plugin has a bug. When I add a post to favorites the first time, everything is OK (the counter shows 1 and the post will appear in the favorites list). I remove the same post from my favorites list and the counter shows 0. I add the same post back to my favorites. Then two of the same posts will appear in the favorites list (instead of one post) and the counter shows 2 instead of 1. A similar problem occurs with author likes.

Just three questions: - When reading a blog post (it’s a custom post type by the way, I guess it will work?): if they click on the “follow” button. Will they follow the post or the author? I would like them to follow the author. - If I allow guest to see the “follow” button, how does it work? A field is created where they add their email address? - It’s working with custom post type?

Hi, I am using buddyboss/buddypress and I would like to give user possibility to follow not only post, but also post that are marked with specific tag. User would be able to choose, or mark tag/hashtags that the user is interested in. And once a post (usually imported with automator plugin) is created or an user write in buddypress activity with marked tag/hashtag the user will be notified. Is something like this possible? Thanks

Is it possible to add a ranking function?

I purchased Bimber theme in Themeforest. This theme allow all registered users to submit content through a form. In this form, users link a post to a category and several tags.

My question is if this plugin allow to web visitors to follow wordpress categories, tags categories and autors who submit posts.

keep in mind that Bimber is not a topic to develop a blog but rather for users to share content through the frontend.

If yes, what requirements should be met? can they be managed through wordpress? When installing the pluging, how are “follow” buttons generated in the authors’ cards, where in categories or tags? I have not been able to see a practical example in the plugin preview.

Its so sad that I use to love this plugin, but now it no longer works as it supposed to and anytime you mail the author, he will take centuries to respond shabbily. For example, when an author updates his or her directory page, the Followers are supposed to get a notification, but in this case it is only when the website author does the update at backend, that Followers will receive Notifications. Very bad.
