Hello, is the fiberchat webapp only created for Firebase Webhosting or could it work with Godaddy Webhosting as well? The reason is that I want to hide my Fiberchat credentials (which are shown to everybody in index.html by show source code). I changed already the index.html into index.php and deployed to Firebase Webhosting but Firebase is not supporting PHP by default. You have a solution to hide all credentials? Thanks.

Fiberchat Web can also be hosted on other hosting sites like GoDaddy or similar (not necessarily on Firebase hosting only).
The Firebase API Credentials will be visible to the Public. It cannot be hidden as per Firebase. You can only restrict the usage of the API Keys. You may visit the SET API KEYS USAGE RESTRICTION section of the Installation Guide for reference.

Thanks for your answer, but you forgot to mention that the follow ing line must be removed in index.html: <base href=”/”> otherwise you would see a blank white page.
Hello, the compiled source code in build/web is working fine for Firebase webhosting (I deployed and tested it) but not for any Webhoster (I use Godaddy) because some changes need to be done. After removing in index.html: <base href=”/”> the blank page is gone and I can input the name and phone number and after input the verification code for test phone number is not continuing (wheel is turning and turning). Have you ever tried it with normal webhosting (instead of Firebase webhosting) and if yes, what modification in code was necessary to make it run? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

1. The Web App can be hosted on your Google Firebase Hosting or on your Own Dedicated or Shared Hosting. Firebase Hosting by default has a Domain that points to it. You can also set your own Custom Domain Name that points to either Firebase Hosting or to your Own Hosting.
2. If the App is hosted on Firebase Hosting, files & data will be stored on the Firebase Server. If it is hosted on your Own Hosting, it will be stored on your Server.
3. We recommend using Firebase Hosting as it has a “Pay as you go” plan that does not necessitate payment when the server is not used. Apart from Firebase, Dodaddy, Hostinger are Hosting providers which you could choose as per your preferences.

A domain can point to a single hosting site at a time. It cannot be pointed to Firebase Hosting & your Hosting at the same time. You can build the Fiberchat Web App and keep the files in your hosting root or subdomain so that both your custom website and Fiberchat Web App stay under your domain.

You read the feature and try the live demo, but once you purchase the scripts you will experience the follow: 1- the script was written in 2018 and you need to correct endless errors. 2- After you successfully deploy on the web/firebase, you would never be able to activate the purchase code. You will get a message that you exceeded the limit. 3- when you approach the support you will be sent a guide and a claim “It seems you have deleted your Firestore database manually multiple times and ask you to reinstall again. Eventually, you end up wasting your money and they refer you to the refund policy which is says “We Offer a full refund if the item purchased is not downloaded. However, if the item is downloaded, no refund will be issued. It is advised to make an informed decision before making any purchase from us”
