Just wanted you to know that I tried your demo and liked what i saw, but it really needs a sound alert of some kind.

That is coming. meanwhile, when you login as admin, you can easily see which user has a new message.

I need your hep

Have you read the documentation? It is in the _Documentation folder and has step by step instructions.

Even I could use it in my project. it does not work…

It works. After going back and forth with emails, it is clear you have not followed all instructions and have instances of improper setup.

I would never upload a script without thorough testing on various servers; with the strictest PHP errors and warnings detection.

The script you have is the same as the one that works in the trial, my various hosted web sites and my local WAMP server.

All I can say at this point is that you may want to download it again, then, follow the instructions.

There is a new update? What is this update? Thanks!

Updates will be ongoing. Please send me an email to let me know what features you think would make good additions.

I’m getting this -> Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object in /var/www/html/live_chat/includes/ on line 88.

How can I fix this?

Are the username and password proper in the _pdo.php file? In this case, username is root and password is empty…. for a typical WAMP or XAMP testing server on a home pc.

Here is the default:

function PDO_Connect() { global $PDO; $user = 'root'; $pass = ''; $PDO = new PDO('mysql:host=localhost;dbname=chat', $user, $pass); $PDO->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_WARNING); }

Yes. the config file is fine. contains the right user, password, database etc. This is not on XAMP, it’s on a live server. I believe the initial connection to the database runs fine, but every time the $PDO object is called ( for login, logout, insert to database or what ever the case), the scripts shoots this error: Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object. most likely the way you’ve set up global $PDO is not correct and gets broken somewhere

I tested and uploaded the zip file. Please re-download and try again.

can i initiate a chat when a customer lands on my site?

Not at the moment. But, will look into that soon. Likely next version.

Hello i try to install your script but it’s not work :( I have read the documentation and test the demo but i have nothing do you have a solution ? thank you

Did you move the folder and setup the database?

Here is a COMPLETE WORKING SAMPLE starting page that calls the chat script. The top of the page needs the session_start() function to enable session usage.
<?php session_start(); ?> <head> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="chattin/css/style.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href=""> <script src=""></script> <script src=""></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="chattin/js/toggle.js"></script> <script src="chattin/js/chat.js"></script> </head> <div>Hi there</div> <?php include("chattin/"); ?>
