Is there a simple way to deactivate the search function so that we can have just choice based FAQs but without the search box? Or is this not an option at the moment?

The plugin simply hooks in your product’s template. A new tab will be added and the FAQ block will be contained

I placed the shortcode on the page.
The FAQ is displayed for about one second and then completely disappears from the page.
I even DE-activated all the other plugins, and used a generic theme.

There should be a possibility to import content through csv or so. It takes forever to propagate the website with meaningful content
FAQs are a normal custom post type, probably there’s some free tool letting you create posts through a CSV.
Different speech for questions-based FAQs, they must be created step by step in the plugin

I’m sorry to say that your plugin is a bit confusing just to post a base knowledge FAQ. Even to post a simple FAQ post is a bit of a challenge. I’ve been here for almost 2 hours just trying to make it match my dark mode site and trying to post a simple FAQ just to get familiar with it. I cannot get not even one created and published

Yes, I did look at it. When I follow your example, it does not stay in the same page as yours does while you are answering the questions. Mine sends me to an empty page. It sends me to the Permalink underneath the title. Why?

I had a look at the demo and looks like you can have the FAQ start as a whole where you select the subject then topics (childs).
If I wanted 2 FAQ’s in that format on my website can I do that, I would want to show different subjects though for each FAQ.

3 months later Sorry I got distracted ... Basically I want to be able for specific pages show specific ‘categories’ to load from. E.G. One Page, I only want 3 specific Categories, another I might just want 1. But I want them listed as an option. Then if you click one, it goes into the FAQ linked to that category.
Page 1 list 3 categories
Clicking on one then will list the FAQ’s for that Subject
But on another page I may just want to load Subject 4 and not show this subject on page 1 as an option.
Does that make sense?

You can see that WorldDude gives to you many useful improvements suggestions, but his account blocked and he unfortunately can’t update this purchased plugin. Can you do things right as a honest person and send update via email, please.
these matters are totally managed by Envato. Please get in touch with them
Long story short – WorldDude found too much bugs at 2 plugins and also suggest to their author many improvements, but authors refuse to resolve obvious bugs and to improve their plugins. He write a bad reviews about that 2 plugins (not about your plugin) and after that was banned by Envato because of dishonest-deceive blames of those authors. But after 3-4month that 2 authors implement almost all of his improvements suggestions because they just a schmucks. (I can give an exactly plugins and comments URLs.) Unfortunately Envato just shit on all this outrage situation. Still purchased licenses still works. Maybe you can show your conscience and do thing right – just send an update via email, its just a 1min.

You can just send a plugin update in exchange to a license pdf file by email. It’s really easy. :\
Without a valid license would be just like downladng it from a pirate site. Plus, you won’t be able to update it in future.

When entering a nick+license (Ctrl+C from PDF license file) to your plugin it shows: “Wrong username or purchase code” – but error cause not because of license revocation, but because of Envato user account blocking. :(((
That is the envato answer: as said purchase codes are strictly linked to usernames.

1. Then how at your demo there are Cats+Dogs FAQs??? They both is a part of one higher category Animals??? Its very important to add to one FAQ block MANY different FAQs categories because modern and active websites have a: global website FAQs (about, shipment, warranty, etc); per WP-posts/WooC-product categories FAQs (clothes size, materials, cars types, etc); per brand-attributes FAQs (Tesla electro engine and autodrive, BMW diesel peculiar properties, etc); and individual Products/Posts FAQs (product problems resolving, some parts detailed photos, improvements advises, etc). It’s not very important to make it all automatic, but shortcodes like: [shortcode categories=1+5+10 faqs=100-120+150] will be very very useful!!! Please, add such functionality!!! (Later is can be automated by just setting existed WP-posts/WooC-product categories and Attributes as Brands etc to each FAQ category – so those FAQs will be automatically shows at those posts/products categories, products with such attributes, etc.) 3. I clarify this question because obviously it can be as an adjusted function. Categories is OK.

You create a really nice plugin – FAQ Revolution. To make FAQ Revolution superior – please, add possibility as I describe. It’s not very hard but will greatly expand the using capabilities! Will you do this at near week-month?
While it’s surely interesting to add a shortcode parameter to show only targeted FAQ categories, I won’t surely update it in the next month. There are other priorities at the moment
I) Better way to add possibility to chose which FAQ’s categories to show at current page – is to add a setting for each FAQs category – “Show only at” (so hide at all others). If this setting are empty – such FAQ’s category will be shown at each FAQ’s displaying module so such category will be as global. Setting must have the next dynamic fields (strings with drop-downs like adding a predefined tags at some websites): a) WP post categories; b) WooC products categories; c) WP tags (for example for posts about cars inside travel category); d) WooC attributes (for example for a different brands); e) WP individual posts; d) WooC individual products; f) maybe also posts custom types. After that you just need to add a one stroke filter and all is done. It the best possible solution. II) Also with adding support for a most popular page builders as Elementor and VC/WPBakery – your plugin becomes a real FAQ Revolution! ;))) I can test such functionality at my website.

Dont delay too much because for now there is really absent a modern and functional FAQ for WP… but it can be made by someone else… add this functionality and make a really best FAQ for WP! ;))

as much as I like this plugin, I do have one small issue with it.
Currently the website I am building and using this plugin on requires me to use Keywords for the external links which is great. However I cannot link two different words with the same URL as the plugin won’t let me, as the plugin wants me to use another different URL.
Is there a way around this?
the link name is essential for External links and it must be unique in the list. Unfortunately there’s no solution to your question: you have to use a different name for each link
Hi. I can’t find a way to set the order of the faq posts. I can do its manually in every each item but the I have to do it in post every time. That’s not an option. In post list I can’t edit order and after istalling 4 different re-order plugin, no one can find the faq as a custom post. Which is the best way to order faq?

Yes, faq is Element. Swift, Media grid and Private Content I got a nornal license. I plan to use all four with style plugin on my next project, I would have used global gallery if it had SmugMug support
Then remember you don’t have any support entitlement using Elements.
FAQs are sorted by their custom sorting meta (the number you manually innsert) or (secondary sorting) by title
I will buy the license soon If I make a FAQ list with 20 item and make a manual sorting by number and want to add a new number 2 to the list. Then I have to open 18 items to change them manually, you can’t do that from list or any reorder plugin. Could you consider to add a reorder feature?
You have to use a bit of “preventive strategy”
It’s always suggested to use numbers like 10, 20, 30, etc
Then if you need to place something in the middle, you’ll just use “21”
Like that one but if a question is 20 in one list and 80 in another list… you can’t do that. This works if an item is only in one list, but I need to reorder within a list This plugin is near perfection but this is number one on feature wishlist, then I can truly work with unlimited lists!

cool plugin (regarding the functionality), but can you please urgently refine your Translation attempts?
in your main php file, you define constants for the language key and Version I think and you try to call this constant in some files (not in all) and sometimes you use @fr_ml or FR_MR_KEY (that both don´t work).
In consideration of the wordpress Codex, you could do the Job easily by using just
Cause I don´t habe a search and replace tool here, I did the changes one by ome with a result of around 290 translated (and working) phrases. If you like, I can send you the translated plugin via email (but I don´t know what you have changed since your last update)

I tried to generate a pot from your plugin files but all tools only found five Phrases.
then i tried loco translate, the most used pot mo po editor plugin and it also found five Phrases.
than i removed your constant and replaced all instances of FR_ML_KEY and @fr_ml with ‘fr_ml’ and everything worked fine.
With the plugin as it is, i could not create a german translation.

As written in the documentation, the plugin already has its POT file in the languages folder. It has been created using POedit with the current setup.
The constant is simply a value passed to the __() wordpress function, but the handled value is fr_ml. Because of this it works
