In this case, the IP address of my server is probably blacklisted from EzineArticles part. I suggest you try using a proxy in the plugin’s settings: ‘Main Settings’ menu -> ‘Web Proxy Address List’ settings field.

Tested a few different addresses.
Now I tried to get an article by id and I used this one: https://ezinearticles.com/?The-Big-Picture-In-Greyhound-Racing&id=8306064The strange thing is that the title is fine but the content is: “If you are going to get an advantage at the greyhound track then you need to see more than the other players. You need to see the big picture. Tunnel vision can be costly.”
It is not present in the original article.
Does the proxy you use have any restrictions? Because based on the error you got, my server cannot connect to it.

The importing of the category listing in the plugin needs a functional EzineArticles API key. I suspect that the API key you entered is not working or it is not entered correctly.

In this case your hosting provider is not allowing connections to http://api.ezinearticles.com from your server.
Please contact your hosting provider’s support and ask them to allow connections to http://api.ezinearticles.com from your server (to disable firewall rules or other security settings that might prevent this connection from happening).

Hi, today i tried it my a completely new wordpress installation, then i tried it on local host another new wordpress installation
the same thing is happening, only the first 10 posts worked after that it only get the first sentence on each article
i cant give you access to the wordpress site because its my clients site im not allowed to that but i can send you all screen shots.
can you please install a fresh wordpress site yourself on your local host on your computer using bitnami, and test it today and understand the problem and let me know as well.
if this plugin works its very useful, and many people including me will use it and will be happy to write good reviews and recommend it to our clients

I am sorry if I seem to be unhelpful, but I tested the plugin also on localhost and it worked without issues in my case.

in the local host you only got 10 articles as explained before it works for 10 articles but for more than that it doesnt work

Ok, I updated the plugin to v1.5.0 and added to its ‘Main Settings’ menu -> ‘Web Proxy Address List’ and ‘Web Proxy Authentication’ settings fields.
There, you can enter your proxies which will be used to prevent EzineArticles from blocking access to their site (and to be able to get full content for articles).

I just purchased the plugin and set it up. There’s a lot of talk about firewall here so I thought I’d comment that I’m using Godaddy hosting and WordFence, and the plugin works fine. Hope that information is helpful to someone. (Be sure to use the latest version.)

The categories are automatically updated from EzineArticles, the plugin is not able to access the API from your site, for some reason. You should look into why the EzineArticles API is not accessible. Maybe your hosting provider is blocking access to it with firewall rules.
As I told you before, the plugin is functioning on my side – on all my sites, it is not working only on your server (this is why I suspected that it is not working because it was modified).
Regarding the support, I am sorry, but these are the rules for providing support, if you have further questions about this, please consult with Envato, they make the rules on this.
Also, as you might have noticed, I actually helped you even with expired support, I logged in to your site. Also, I asked for super admin login, without which I am not able to further help. Please check above.

This seems like a WordPress core issue, because this error message is returned when the ‘wp_schedule_event’ function is failing, which is part of WordPress.
You can try to solve this by settings in the wp-config.php file the following:
define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true);
Please be sure to have a backup of this file before you edit it.

The plugin automatically downloads the category and subcategory lists from http://api.ezinearticles.com – if these fields are not populated automatically, it means that your hosting provider has a firewall rule (or other access restrictions) that blocks access to the above address.
Please contact your hosting provider’s support and ask them to allow access to http://api.ezinearticles.com from your server.

The ‘minimum article content’ and similar restrictions only filter content that is already returned from EzineArticles (does not query directly EzineArticles for long articles – they do not offer this functionality). Because of this, if you set this restriction, there might no content imported, because if a respective post does not meet these restrictions, it will be skipped and not posted.
Instead, I recommend you to be sure to check for each rule, the ‘Get Full Content’ checkbox, in importing rule advanced settings (click ‘Settings’ for the rule you wish to edit) -> save settings -> import new posts.

The plugin uses the EzineArticles API to get it’s content. It does not support right now keyword based article search (only category based search).
However, you can import posts from a specific category, and set in rule settings to add some ‘Required Words List’ (found in plugin’s ‘Main Settings’). This will filter imported articles by keywords you define.
