Discussion on Extended Google Analytics for Wordpress

Can you actually view the analytic stats within the WP backend, or do you still have to go to the google analytics site to see the charts and graphs?

You still need to use Google Analytics to view the results.

This comment may be a little premature as I haven’t used this plugin, although I do plan to buy it soon, but this looks amazing! I am setting up GA, AS, with goals and conversion tracking for the company I work for. It has been a lot of work getting it all set up with our GA goals, our crazy # of adsense campaigns, tracking outbound links… If this is what I hope it is, you just made my day! I can’t use it at work as our site doesn’t and never will run on WP, but for a side proj I will be working on, I can’t wait to see what this can do!

I’m also working on jQuery plugin to use on non Wordpress websites ;).

I just purchased the plugin – so far it looks great.

In the same vein as the first comment – are you perhaps planning to make a dashboard snapshop option of the current days analytics in future releases?

Thank again,

That is maybe a feature for a next release.

Big fan of all your works thus far

Comment removed as I got it to work… my error

Hi Sitebase

Since we can integrate Analytics and Adsense, is there any way we can track which post/article on our site got the adsense click without having to use channels?

I ask because you say it tracks events and incorporates Analytics and Adsense.

If you use my script you will indeed be able to see wich articles earned you how much money.

I just purchased your plugin as part of the current Wordpress bundle, and I have one question. Does it utilize the updated asynchronous way of loading the Google analytics scripts?

Hey there ^^,

This was found on a 3.0.1 WP install :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONST, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homez.167/atelierec/www/wp-content/plugins/extended-analytics/extended-analytics.php on line 21

Any clue ?

In advance thanks …

You need PHP5 for this plugin. You have PHP4 installed on your server. Contact your hosting provider for more information about how to update your PHP version.

I’m seeing the same error as dazedj.

I bought this plugin in the Wordpress pack. Look forward to making use of it.

I will take a look at this.

Very interested to this plugin. My application specially needs to get per-user stats on their posts and a custom content type, like bios for example, and count of outbound link clicks per-user-content.

So the keywords are “per-user”, “custom-content-type” and “outbound clicks”.

Wondering if GA is capable to track and report those as well?

I imagine that is native for GA to count pageviews on any WP pages, default or custom. Just I am not sure if it can export report on per-user level.

I also imagine that I will need to setup up event to track outbound links, while I am not sure if I will setup per-link or per-user.

Please advise with more details that will help : )

would I still need to add the code that google analytics gives on the index file or not thanks

That’s not needed anymore.

this plug in looks awesome i’m planning on buying it very soon, i have a pre-sale question: does it still works with products, purchase, etc for orders e-commerce sites? (like wp-ecommerce plug in)

keep up the good work!

Normally that should work.

really this is a work on the same for google analyics type means all module are available or not.. please tell me i intrested to buy

Can you explain your question a bit more?

This goes along with a comment above. So would it be possible to track which items get clicked on in an ecommerce site? Or is it just downloads?

Clicks on those links will be by default in your Google Analytics. You don’t need event tracking for this.

After installing your plugin, Google analytics is not registering goals when contact form is submitted. I am using ContactForm7 plugin. Before installing your plugin everything was working properly.

Can you please advise?

Is support still available for this plugin? I am currently thinking of purchasing this plugin but I need to ask some questions first. As latest replies date from a year back I was wondering if this still is something people can be assisted with.

Hello, 1.Does it support universal code?

2. Does it support the capabilities of yoast google analytics?

3. Does it support MU/Multiste?

4. Does it support W3 Total Cache?

When I go to Settings -> Extended Analytics – I get this error:

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/larklane/public_html/wp-content/plugins/extended-analytics.php/views/index.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/larklane/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/larklane/public_html/wp-content/plugins/libraries/WPBase.php on line 384 Template doesn’t exist.

Can’t use plugin at all.

can I get access to live demo before I make a purchase?

Does it also track Visual Composer generated buttons etc?
