what PHP version you have? If you have PHP7, then it won’t work with the current script.
We’re working to make it compatible with PHP7 and we’ll release this fix next week.
If the problem is not the PHP version, could you please send us a private message with a link to your website and your FTP access?
So we can check your configuration and find a solution.

Hi Wachipi, there is a bug in your code in that the images don’t show up on facebook shares. I have tried to mess around with the og:image properties without any luck. It looks like about 3years ago you were planning to remedy this. Any luck? Can you please let us know how to resolve this? Thanks, Lal

Hi Lal,
to receive the notification when a user submits a listing, you need to insert the admin email address under the “Allow users to insert events” option in “General Settings” page.
Regarding the issue with Facebook, it was related to too small images in the events, they must be at least 200×200.
If your images are very different in width and height, the width or the height could be under 200. Said that, you can solve by changing the resize code in “admin/class/event.class.php” file. Search for “250” and replace all the occurrencies with a higher number, 350 for example.
Then you’ll have to add to “css/mainstyle.css” file, this rule (so the bigger image won’t affect the layout of the event page):
.event_image > img { max-width: 250px; } Anyway, we’ll fix this issue in the next release.

In relation to the email issue, I had already placed the email address but was not getting any emails. That’s why I asked. Which page is the email setting on, so that I can see if it will work if I modify the mail server settings etc…? Thanks, Lal

BTW, It would have been great if there was some way for the ‘user’ to submit their contact name and email and for these to be stored in the database next to their event.

the code that sends the email message is inside “class/event.class.php”, just search for “PHPMailer” and you’ll find it.
