Can the section called “Entrance rules (prices etc.)” be totally removed? Thanks

Hi rickdery,
we’re sorry but it’s not possible to do that from the administration panel. The only way to remove it i to change the script code.
We’re available for customizations, so, if you want us to remove it for you, please send us a private message using the form in our profile page with all the details of what you need and we’ll send you our best offer.

Hi virtualevents,
what PHP version you have? If you have PHP7, then it won’t work with the current script.
We’re working to make it compatible with PHP7 and we’ll release this fix next week.
If the problem is not the PHP version, could you please send us a private message with a link to your website and your FTP access?
So we can check your configuration and find a solution.
Thank you.

Hi Wachipi, I made a downgrade to version 5.6 php and it worked, thank you for the info, when the update compatible with the version PHP 7.0 is available, how do i get it?

Hi virtualevents,
when it will be available you’ll find it in your account page on Envato and you’ll be able to download it.
Inside the documentation, you’ll find the info to upgrade your current script.

Hi Wachipi, I have successfully go the installation running – thank you. How do I configure the email settings so that the admin receives an email when a user submits a listing?

Hi Wachipi, there is a bug in your code in that the images don’t show up on facebook shares. I have tried to mess around with the og:image properties without any luck. It looks like about 3years ago you were planning to remedy this. Any luck? Can you please let us know how to resolve this? Thanks, Lal

Hi Lal,
to receive the notification when a user submits a listing, you need to insert the admin email address under the “Allow users to insert events” option in “General Settings” page.
Regarding the issue with Facebook, it was related to too small images in the events, they must be at least 200×200.
If your images are very different in width and height, the width or the height could be under 200. Said that, you can solve by changing the resize code in “admin/class/event.class.php” file. Search for “250” and replace all the occurrencies with a higher number, 350 for example.
Then you’ll have to add to “css/mainstyle.css” file, this rule (so the bigger image won’t affect the layout of the event page):
.event_image > img { max-width: 250px; } Anyway, we’ll fix this issue in the next release.
Please let us know if you need further information about that.
Thank you!
Best

Hi Wachipi, Thank you for the reply.,

In relation to the email issue, I had already placed the email address but was not getting any emails. That’s why I asked. Which page is the email setting on, so that I can see if it will work if I modify the mail server settings etc…? Thanks, Lal

BTW, It would have been great if there was some way for the ‘user’ to submit their contact name and email and for these to be stored in the database next to their event.

Hi Lal,
the code that sends the email message is inside “class/event.class.php”, just search for “PHPMailer” and you’ll find it.
There you can change the options. You can find PHPMailer documentation here: http://phpmailer.worxware.com/?pg=examples

This script work in php 7.x now?

Hi Festeros,
yes, it is compatible with PHP 7.x. We’ll also release a new version with a few bug fixing this week.

Hi Wachipi

I hoped it would be possible to have the option to show a list with upcoming AND a calendar function as well. But I don’t see this option, as I have to choose in settings which one should be loaded first.

Is there an option to choose both?

Is there an option to show a smaller version of the upcoming list as well? For instance in a small sidebar on the website?

Regards, Carst

Hi Carst,
we’re sorry, but this feature is not available. You must choose a default view (calendar or list) and then you can choose to show the switch buttons, so that your users will be able to choose what they want to see using the buttons.
Please let us know if you need further information.

Hi, I’ve installed the calendar and all looks good but I can’t get the admin page, just see error 500. I’ve tried switching PHP5.3 to 5.4, 5.6 and 7 but still see the same error

here are the logs if anyone can help?

Hi sixbeforedawn,
we’ve just released a new version with the fix for this error and it will be available as soon as CodeCanyon approves it.
In the meanwhile, you can easily solve the issue by copying the file “embeddable/admin/common.php” and pasting it into “SEO_compliant/admin” folder, overwriting the current one.
Let us know how it goes!

Cheers, that’s now working, thanks for the support

Hi Wachipi.

It seems YouTube have changed their embed code to a div containing an amended iFrame, and this will not work when embedded into an event, even if I remove the div elements. They also seem to have removed the resizing options, so I guess the new div auto-resizes.

As a work-around I can use the older embed code and paste in the video’s unique identifier, but for clients who can barely understand what an embed code is this is not a way forward. Is there a plan to update this area to utilise the new code? Ideally it would be great just to use the Share code (e.g. https://youtu.be/xxxxxxxxxxx), but I expect you need to retain the iFrame/html format.

In the meantime I will encourage clients and public submitters to use Vimeo, but this is far less commonly used, in my experience and will no doubt cause some irritation.

Thanks

Andrew

Very good script. sincerely. I find a difference quite, in my opinion, quite important because in the version of mobile: Does not leave the link of the website of the event, if it comes in the web version but not in the mobil version. How can we solve it ?, the same data should appear in mobile as in web

Thank you

I like your calendar, is there a way to embed this calendar as a list view within an .html page?

Hi pcwerx,
thank you. The only way to embed the calendar in an .html page is to do it using an iframe, because the calendar needs php to work and in an html page, php code doesn’t work. Otherwise, you can embed it in a .php page by copying the code parts specified in the main calendar file and keeping the other files structure as it is in the script.
Please let us know if you need further information about that.

Hi OneLoveSick,

Hi Wachipi.

I am trying to update my embedded calendar following the recent release, as I have successfully done before, but seem to end up with a blank page. I have followed the instructions and uploaded all except the files mentioned, plus others that I have customised to make things look right, and I have replaced the code on my index.php page, but there is obviously a problem. Not sure what to try next, so I would be grateful for any advice.
