Do this plugin work with multisite site?
My sub-site didn’t see “show for” option
It should work with multisite wordpress installation. Can you send me your credentials? I will take a look. Contact
if you need, i could give admin and ftp to check, thanks
The Elements for Users plugin is not related to any theme, but related to WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer).
Are you using tagdiv Page Builder or original Page Builder? That would be the case. However, if you tried to enable Advanced Replace for the element, and it still doesn’t work, please send me your admin credentials, a detailed explanation about your page URL, how I can find the element that has the issue and to replicate it. Contact
i use “original Page Builder”
i didn’t know how to use ” Advanced Replace”
i sent admin info, thanks
I’ve checked your site, and no, you are using tagdiv Composer. Please check your plugins page.
I’ve sent more information about what’s going on via email.
Hi, this plugin is slowing down my page by 10 seconds, what can I do to make this go faster?
Can you send me your link? I will take a look and analyze your page.
I just purchased your plugin to work with a distribution site I have for a client. They want to display different headers based on user role. The plugin seems to work fine, BUT it doesn’t show the item for Logged out users. Look at image links for examples.
1) Dealer user – http://prntscr.com/gpm5wb (works)
2) Customer role and logged out should be the same
customer role – http://prntscr.com/gpm79x (Works)
logged out role – http://prntscr.com/gpm6lw (doesn’t work)
Image of backend – http://prntscr.com/gpm9u1
email me directly and I can give you access if needed
Can you send me your credentials? I will take a look. Contact
sent By the way, it seems its working with other areas. But I know for sure the rev slider isn’t working properly with the plugin
Got the email and replied back.
I just installed this plugin. I set an element to Show For Not Logged In Users but it shows for all users. In other words, no difference. Is “show for not logged in users” the same as “hide for logged in users”?
After reading the other comments, I turned on “advanced replace” in the settings panel for this particular element. Now it works. Should I assume that I will need to turn on advanced replace for any element type that I apply this plugin to?
I was going to suggest turning Advanced Replace on for that element. The details are written at Notes section under How To Use title of the codecanyon sales page.
Only native Visual Composer elements are directly supported. For third party Visual Composer elements (such as elements come within another plugin or theme), Advanced Replace should be enabled for the third party element. This element should be inside the content, not in another shortcode.
Basically, third part developers do not implement the feature I’m using at visual composer. I created another way to support these as well, which is turned on with Advanced Replace.
Let me know if you need anything else,
Only other thing I have noticed: there is no control on a row for visibility, regardless whether the advanced replace is on or off. But an inner row does have the control.
They should be the same. Can you send me a screenshot and your admin credentials? I will take a look and get back to you. Contact
I just followed up through the contact form.
When I activate the plugin, the site goes “White” – I was wondering if you could look into this for me, or if there was a fix I could do?
Can you send your credentials and your ftp credentials? I will take a look and get back to you. Contact
I might need to change a couple things, so please take a backup, just in case.
Hi there, Did you get my emails I sent as have not heard anything since? Thanks.
I replied you back but I didn’t hear back from you. Just in case I’m going to send another mail to you.
I have just bought the plugin and I am trying to hide content for login users by clicking the second option “show for not login users” but when I click that option it hides it for everyone, it is not visible. Any help with this? Thanks
Glad the problem is solved. Let me know if you need anything else,
Ignore my previous comment. It is working now, my fault. Thanks!
Hi, after updating Wordpress to 4.9.1 the plugin dont work, all fields only for members are showing for everyone. Its a german installation.
I performed a detailed test on my server, with German installation, wordpress 4.9.1 and the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder, it seems to be working without problem on two of my servers. (Localhost and my demo site)
I added a simple text for demo purposes to my demo site, you can try and see by logging in with demo or subscriber account.
Is there an error you see?
Also what is the element you are trying with? Can you enable Advanced Replace for that element from EFU settings page?
it was a conflict with the Plugin “Plugin Organizer”, now Elements for Users works perfect!
I noticed when i restrict access to a element (don’t matter which mode) after editing that page or post on the front end, that element disappear. First I thought the problem was caused by another plugin but now it happens to every element the plugin is active on
Are you saying the front end element is hidden no matter what the options? Or is it hidden if the element is supposed to be hidden for your user info?
I can check the problem on your server if you could send me your credentials, with showing the way I can replicate the problem. Contact
Is this still usable with the latest versions of VC (5.4?) Thanks
I’m using the latest version 5.4.5 and it works without problem.
thanks for your awesome plugin!
Unfortunately it doesn’t work… I don’t know what i doing wrong. I only want to set shortcut content into a “members only” visibility setting. But if I change the option to “All members” it shows the Shortcode content all the time. Doesn’t matter if I’m logged or not…
What should i do?
Thanks and best regards,
I found the problem! It was the “advance replace” setting for the “Shortcode element” under “Settings”>”Elements for users”>...
After checking it works great
Glad the problem is solved. As stated at the note section under How To Use on sales page
Sounds like just what I need!
Can you tell me if I’ll be able to use your plugin with the Salient theme?
I’ve read the following note, but not sure what it means in practice:
Note: Only native Visual Composer elements are directly supported. For third party Visual Composer elements (such as elements come within another plugin or theme), Advanced Replace should be enabled for the third party element. This element should be inside the content, not in another shortcode.
Yes, you can use it with Salient theme. That note means that if you use a third party Visual composer element (such as if that element comes from another plugin), you will need to try to enable Advanced replace for that element. It will be at your Elements For Users settings page.
Let me know when you see a problem and I will help you,
For pre-sales question: is this compatible in visual composer 220.127.116.11? thanks
It’s been supported since version 4.8. If anything is not working, let me know and I will help you.
Nice plugin !
However, i would like to know how can i change the way of restricting the content for specific users. I see that it work by the user id, whereas i would like to use the user name for a question of automatisation (i work with Zapier).
Thanks a lot
I don’t understand the difference between user id and user name, since they should always match. The plugin does not let you choose user name directly. However you can write your own PHP function that would run as you wish.
I’m using Massive Addons for VC. Would the plugin for with this extension?
This plugin should be independent from third party extensions. If anything is not working properly, I will be here for support.
Please enable Advanced Replace for text element from Elements for Users Options under Wordpress Settings. If it still doesn’t work, please send me your admin credentials, a detailed explanation about your page URL, how I can find the element that has the issue and to replicate it. Contact
I’ve been having a strange issue. Everything seems to be working just fine except when I want to show the element only to specific roles or users, I’m not able to save the user roles. The role are not coming up in the select box.
So as I can see from your demo, when I start typing the roles or individual users, the roles should start coming up with auto-suggest feature, and when I hit the suggested role, I should see it selected with colored background box behind the text, just like in your demo video.
I don’t get that. I can type, but no roles are coming up. I don’t get the auto-suggest feature. When I type the full role, ‘Administrator’ for example and hit the save button, the role won’t save.
Other than this, everything is working just fine, I haven’t experienced any problems with VC at all. I’m trying to apply this condition onto a regular vc_row element and vc_row in on in the setting.
Would have any idea why this could be?
Wordpress should be giving an error somehow. I just checked on my demo site with 3 different PHP versions and it should be working fine with the latest version of EFU.
I will have to investigate the issue. Can you please send me your credentials? Contact
Just switched on the debugging mode in wp-config, but nope, no errors are coming up anywhere .. many thanks for looking into it, I’ll get back to you shortly with the admin credentials ..
That’s weird. I will need to debug the code. I’m out right now and I will take a look as soon as I get a chance.
Sure, no worries, thanks
I haven’t received any credentials. I just wanted to remind you if the problem still exists.
Yep I know, hold on, i’m setting up a testing environment for that purpose.
As I’m doing it, I noticed the it might be the active Massive Addons for Visual Composer extension causing this issue. Whenever I deactivate Massive Addons, the Elements plugin seems to work just fine and I’m able to set the role conditions with no problems.
Do you have Massive Addons installed by any chance to test it with?
Hey there, here is an update ..
I ended up testing just the 3 VC plugins on a fresh WP install .. no problems here, everything works, so I guess there must be a conflict somewhere else.
But eventually I realised that it actually works, and the suggested role does come up as it should, it just has about 6-8 second delay before it shows. Which is really weird, but I can deal with it ..
I tried the latest version of massive addons plugins as well, with the latest version of page builder and elements for users plugins. I don’t see an error here on my site either.
I’m glad though, it actually works 6-8 seconds delay is actually not bad, if you are using a shared server.
