not all Smileys display ,
Hello. Could you show me the smileys that don’t display? By the way, some are on purpose simple.
I have detected the cause of the issue. It’s because some emojis are not backwards compatible with other OS and browser versions. I can fix this by replacing the emojis on-site with image versions of them. When you click on any emoji, you would still get the unicode emoji even though what you clicked on is image.
Hello permitted! Some emoji may not work on some OS and some browsers. You can add emoji that are cross-compatible. I tried to add as many cross-compatible emoji as possible. An alternative way to “fix” this issue is upload a picture and put an element within the .
Very useful script, good work EdgeCode!
Some Emojies are not displaying. What is the purpose of textbox in the site?
I checked the preview in mobile.
Which ones? The textbox below allows you to easily test smileys and how they would appear in your message before sending it. It’s just a small extra feature to make your life easier.
I have detected the emoji issue. I am going to fix that today.

Rest assured, there is no problem with the script. It’s just some emojis don’t work due to OS and browser compatibility issues and they can be easily replaced.
Your script is strikingly similar to “WebMoji” http://codecanyon.net/item/webmoji-searchable-copy-paste-emoji-directory/16271105 which was added on May 24th… I realize it is not exactly the same but not an original idea by any means. I’m not trying to knock your script, but just a heads up you could ask that dev how he solved the same issue. GLWS my friend!
Yeah, it may be similar but it obviously doesn’t have any part of its code on my script. I see that he fixed it by adding something called ‘image fallback’ version. I also thought of doing something similar.
If you can strip out all the emojis that aren’t backwards compatible, I’d be interested in this. I’m getting a lot that aren’t showing up (latest FF, and Win7).
I did read above, about replacing them with images, but that doesn’t help IMO if they aren’t originally backwards compatible. I would ONLY want emojis in the database that are friendly across the board of browsers, and OSes.
Any plans on doing this yourself, or would each buyer have to do the proper testing, to ensure the emojis actually show for a variety of systems?
Hello. I understand that replacing them with images wouldn’t solve the problem completely. It is the nature of emojis (unicode) that cause issues with cross-compatibility. Some emojis that are compatible with Chrome on Windows 8 may not show up on Windows 10 for various reasons.
All I can do is provide the most compatible across multiple browser and OS versions ones. It’s buyers’ job to add emojis that they would like to see. I cannot decide which emoji will work the best for them.
However, what I can do is create a custom set of emoji that have high compatibility rate across browsers for all buyers for free of charge (provided that they buy the script, of course).
very good work !
I am willing to add emojis in my social site, Will this work in it?
