is it possible to modify the cross and to put some text instead (like share) ?
Thanks for your comment! Currently the + cannot be changed to something else.
Just to follow up: With our latest update, we have added the ability to choose between various text based options or use your own image for the button. One of the options is ‘Share.’
another question : is it compatible with WP 3.8 ?
Thanks for your comment! It is compatible with WP 3.8!
I guess I am your first customer
Good luck with your sales and one question for a start – what should I put in the “link” field in order for link to be opened in the same window?
For instance i would like to put there link to return to my homepage.
Thank you and all the best!
First of all, thank you for your purchase!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The plugin doesn’t currently support the ability to do that. We’re working on an update right now and expect it to be available this week.
Thanks for the feedback! We consider feedback vital, and we’re working to improve Cirq in every way possible.
In the meantime, if you would like you can send an email to email@example.com, and we can modify the plugin instance on your site to open links of your choosing in the same tab.
Just writing to let you know that our latest update to the plugin now supports targeted links! You can now set it to open to any link, within the same window, as you wanted.
We updated the documentation accordingly, but if you have any trouble, let us know. We’re here to help.
Thanks again for your purchase of Cirq Social, and for being our first customer!
would purchase if this was the mechanism for visitors to share page content with those social networks.
any plans for that option? in admin you would have the option to configue either…A) Share when clicked or B)redirect to [facebook]
Thanks for the comment and feedback!
We’ve added this to our list of features to develop, and will endeavor to deliver this functionality in a future update.
Hey Shane, just wanted to update you and let you know that we’ve added the functionality you suggested in our latest update. Thanks again!

Just Just to follow up: With our latest update, we have added the ability to choose between various text based options or use your own image for the button. There are a few other improvements, too.
Again, thanks for purchasing Cirq social!
If you implement the change requested by fraktale911 (changing the cross into a text) I will buy it straight away
We appreciate the feedback, and we take it very seriously.
We’re looking at all aspects of how we can improve the plugin.
Although the next update is decided upon, we’ll keep this in mind for future updates and we’ll update you accordingly here.
Thanks for letting us know your thoughts!
Nice plugin, +1 FOR TEXT instead of + button and would like to see social sharing option with counters
Thanks for your comment! We are working on updates and testing to try to address those requests at the moment. Check back with us soon!
In a previous update we added social sharing options, but without counters.
Thanks again for the comment!
Hi, Just bought your fantastic plugin, just wondered is it possible to modify coding to change some of the elements transparent? Is it likely that this could be an added feature in a future update?
Hey Luke, thanks for your purchase! Currently you can set the transparency value for each slice in the admin panel. Under the configuration options for each slice, you should see an option labeled ‘Opacity’. The default value for that is 1 (fully visible), however, you can change it to any decimal value to achieve a transparency effect. Try entering .7 or .8 for partial transparency or even all the way down to .2 or .3 for almost complete transparency on any slice.
If this didn’t answer your question, please let us know and we’ll help in any way we can. Thanks again for your comment and your purchase!
Hey, thats great, i’m surprised i didn’t notice the option in the first place. just playing around with transparency it looks like the icons as well as the segments goes transparent, is there away you could make only the segments go transparent? also noticed that there is some overlap on the segment edges when using transparency.
I do have an issue with my iPhone though, the circle expand animation is off centre from the button. I have tried in both in safari and chrome. Am using iOS 7.1 …….any ideas?
There isn’t a way to do that in the admin panel currently, however, that’s definitely a good idea for an update and we’ll look into adding that as a feature. In the meantime, you could use a transparent PNG as a background image, set the opacity of the segment to 1 and then use a solid icon to achieve the effect you’re describing.
We’re currently working on an update that resolves issues with Windows phone, and we will test iOS again to try and reproduce the display problem you’re having and update the code to fix it.
If you’re familiar with editing CSS and you’d like to dig into the code for the plugin, we can provide you with some guidance on how to modify one of the stylesheets used by the plugin to potentially fix the issue on your install before we wrap up our next update. If you’d like to try that, just send an email to email@example.com and we’ll get back with you as soon as possible. Also thanks for pointing out the display issue and please let us know about any other issues you run into so we can add that to our update schedule. Our goal is to make this plugin device and browser-agnostic, and your feedback is what helps get us there. Thanks again!
Excellent plugin in general, but it is not working properly on Samsung mobile phone default browser… On Chrome it’s fine, but on their browser is horrible…
Can you please test it?
Let me know if screenshot would help
Can you send us a screenshot of this, from your phone, to firstname.lastname@example.org?
We plan on doing further compatibility updates in the future, and would like to cover this if we can.
If the default Samsung web browser on your phone is the same that ships with many android phones, it may be an issue caused by an inherent lack of support for CSS3 functionality. We’ll check into it.
I am getting this message at the bottom of my pages. I don’t understand the problem enough to fix it.
Warning: Missing argument 1 for is_post_type_hierarchical(), called in /home/amysjenkins/amyannejenkins.com/wp-content/plugins/cirq-social/cirq.php on line 1286 and defined in /home/amysjenkins/amyannejenkins.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 1028
You can see it here: http://www.amyannejenkins.com/archive/
This could be related to the version of WordPress you are using, however, I believe I can resolve the issue by making a small change to your install of the plugin on your site. If you would, please send an email to email@example.com and we can discuss creating a temporary admin user for us to log in to your site with to fix the issue, or we can provide further details on how to fix it if you’d like to attempt to do so on your own. Thanks!
Hi, this look really cool and I will probably end up buying it. A quick question – any chance in the near future of an option that combines both the follow link and share? I.e. split segments for each function all within one of these semis?
Hey, thanks for your question. This is a really good idea and we will definitely look into it in a future update release. I’m not sure if the dual functionality you described would be applicable for every social network Cirq supports, however, I know offhand that it could be useful for Facebook and Twitter at the very least. If you do end up buying the plugin, please feel free to contact us anytime if you run into any issues. Thanks!
Hi, I suppose this could also just be used as a kind of menu?! Is it possible to have my own colors and use my own icons inside the segments? Is it possible to open by hover instead of click?
Sorry for the late response!
Yes, Cirq can absolutely be used as a kind of menu. We have a few customers that have used it that way.
All segments can have custom colors via the admin panel (the slices that expand and the button). You Each can be it’s own color, or all the same.
You can use any icon you want, as long as they fit.Dimensions for the icons are in the documentation. We include icons and you can use them as templates for your own as well.
It does not respond to hover instead of click, unfortunately.
Thank you for the question!
Wow, i love ! Good creative idea
I just noticed that in buddypress pages (like members/activity etc) I click the (+) sign but the plugin doesn’t work. the circle doesn’t open.
Hello, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Please send an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org and provide a link to an example of this happening and we’ll take a look as soon as possible.
Live preview doesnt seem to work.. can i see it in action?
