Hi, pre-purchase question: I’m using Buddypress for user to sign up as subscriber. Can I use Chimpy with buddypress to send better mail like verify signup, comment noftification or change password mail, etc.. ?. I’m looking for better solution because BP’s mail is quite boring to our site. Thanks!

Hi!

Unfortunately not – Chimpy doesn’t send any emails on it’s own, all sent from MailChimp, Chimpy only subsribes users. Also Buddypress most probably uses it’s own custom emails, so you might need to check how those canbe modified.

Hello, wondering if you can run multiple forms for lock content… i.e. different lists signups for different locked pages. thanks!

Hi!

Yes, it should be possible – forms will be displayed based on conditions set, and if lock is active, those will also lock content before subscribing.

Kirill

Hi Kirill, I’ve tried having 2 forms active and locking different pages and it’s not working for me. Under the “Locking” tab it seems to only allow me to choose 1 form.

Hi!

That’s right – sorry for the confusion, I forgot that there was this selection. We will definitely improve this in future.

Hi there. I’m interested in your plugin to synchronize the users from wordpress with mailchimp. The problem is that I’ll need different lists or segments because they should receive the newsletter in different languages. In wordpress 4.7 each user can choose a language; does this work with mailchimp?

Hi!

No, I’m afraid such selection is not yet supported in Chimpy. We’ll look into it in the future!

Hello am looking for add-on or plugin to do something like this http://resources.csoonline.com/ccd/assets/137211/detail. Will this plug in help me do this?

And what about this..all the questions are NOT mandatory. questions 1-3 are name & email. question 8 is the calendar. if they answer the first 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 questions, they go to mailchimp list 1. If they answer all the questions (1 through 8) they go to mailchimp list 2.

Unfortunately this feature aren’t yet presented in Chimpy: “check email address field already exist in Mailchimp list”. It is only possible to check if user already filled up this form via cookies created before.

So I believe any other options following after that won’t make any difference.

But I’ll make a note of such conditional logic in forms – we will consider adding something like this in future, thank you for sharing! :)

My second question is a different task. Go through it is a multi-step form but submits to two list in mailchimp?

Hi, i’ve purchased the item and am trying to style via CSS however I am unable to center labels / subscribe button – can you assist?

Hi!

Feel free to submit a support ticket to us and show your current CSS, as well as some example URL.

Hey,

I’ve just bought Chimpy because I’ve seen it on a website similar to what I`m about to create. You can check the website here – travelator.ro.

The thing is that theirs pops-up on the bottom side of the page and it’s very beautifully designed. Are there any settings that I`m missing that can help you do both the design and make it pop-up below and not directly into your face? My website is travel1×2.com.

Thanks!

Hi!

I couldn’t see the popup on that site, only a form in widget, but could be that they customized the plugin. As in default popup showing is the only option.

Hi, I am wanting to use this with WC Subscriptions. What happens when their role is changed back to customer, are they deleted from the list and added back again when they become a subscriber?

Is it possible with custom code (using actions or filters etc..) to sync more user fields than the ones you have listed?

Hi!

The user role maybe updated on MailChimp, but subscription won’t be removed based on the role. As for more fields – we will improve this in new version.

Really like the plugin, but notice a few small issues. Like custom CSS doesn’t seem to work for Popup option, or at least I couldn’t get it to work. Instead I used the Additional CSS section in the customizer. Also, I notice this plugin hasn’t been updated in ages, like 3 years! Wondering if it will be updated to ensure it is working perfectly with latest version of WP and is completely secure. Just my thoughts, take them as you will. Best, Zach

Hi Zach!

For CSS issue – feel free to submit a support ticket to us if you need any help in setting this up. As for updates – we regularly test our plugin with new releases of WordPress, so it should be compatible, also in the near future (next few months) we have big update for this planned.

Does this product allow you to integrate contact forms right into (Visual Composer)?

Hi!

It allows to insert forms by using shortcodes, so most probably yes – it can be done.

Hi, I just bought this item, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. Is it possible to get a refund? Regards, Malene

Hi Malene,

Maybe there’s something we can help you with? Please submit a support ticket to us, so we could discuss this further.

Hi a client is having issues connecting to mailchimp API. It works on local but doesn’t on live and no error message other than ‘Connection to MailChimp failed’.

Hi!

Most probably there are some blocks/filters set on the server side (we had such cases – those only resolved after reaching out to hosting support).

Please submit a support ticket to us with temporary login credentials, so we could look into your setup.

This is no doubt truly an awesome plugin out there for mailchimp. Everything works great but I am having difficulty having popup display when clicked on a button or any other element. I used different type of variations and code as under:

<button type=”button” id=”chimpy_popup_open”>Click Me!</button>

This is no doubt truly an awesome plugin out there for mailchimp. Everything seems to be working as expected.

Hi there,

I’m glad to hear that you managed to fix the issue!

Paul

I wonder if you have a functionality to ensure that signup forms are not shown to website visitors that are already subscribers. I don’t want to bother subscriber of a certain list with a form to signup to a list they are already part of.

Hi there,

Thank you for your interest in Chimpy.

Currently there’s no reliable way to achieve that, unfortunately. We will be looking into ways to improve this in the future.

Hello Can I use this plugin to subscribe on the checkout form?

Hello I would like to offer customers the opportunity to sign for the newsletter during: checkout, registration, filling out the contact form. Can I do this with this plugin?

Hi!

It is possible to subscribe during the registration, comment posting, or filling out the form created in plugin. As for checkout – that is only possible in our other product – WooChimp.

Hi,

I have a few WP posts categories where I post my various blog articles. I want to know:

1) Does this plugin allow me to create signup forms that allow the user to choose 1 or more WP post categories to subscribe to? Once subscribed, they would then receive emails when I post new content?

2) Does the plugin allow me to inherit my existing theme’s styles?

Hi!

1 – No, I’m afraid there are no such features in our plugin. It’s intended functionality is subscribing users to your MailChimp lists and groups.

2 – There are few built-in styles, and you can also change styles with custom CSS.

I would like to check out our Demo of Chimpy, It looks like your Demo is missing the API key. Please update and let me know when it’s ready to test.

Hi!

You can easily (and for free) generate the API key in MailChimp and then add this on our demo site to test.
