Pre-sales question: I am looking to have a custom button that will redirect the visitor to the sellers web page for that product. Is that exactly what the custom button does – allow me to pull a unique URL for every product in my product database (hundreds of thousands of products) for the custom button on each page?

Hi!

You can use custom url for each product only if you are linking to some place within your domain (where catalog mode is installed) by using the following attributes: {PRODUCT_URL}, {PRODUCT_NAME}, {PRODUCT_ID} to define the url. This way we will generate dynamic url for each product with it’s WooCommerce ID, URL or name. If you would like to use external url – you can only define one, common url for all products.

Thank you.

Hi! The softare version says it’s compatible up to WP 4.4.1 and Woocommerce 2.5. Is it compatible with WP 4.6.1 and Woocommerce 2.6.7?

Hi!

Yes, it’s compatible! We’ve tested the plugin with the latest WP and Woo – we will update the info in minutes :)

Hi there, Is it possible to replace the “add to cart” button with a – for example “Spec sheet” button and have that open up a new tab with the PDF (custom URL).. it would need to be different for each product.

Let me know! Thanks

Hi!

Catalog Mode allows you to replace the ‘add to cart’ with custom button, though you can use custom url for each product only if you are linking to some place within your domain (where catalog mode is installed) by using the following attributes: {PRODUCT_URL}, {PRODUCT_NAME}, {PRODUCT_ID} to define the url. This way we will generate dynamic url for each product with it’s WooCommerce ID, URL or name. If you would like to use external url – you can only define one, common url for all products.

We have also dedicated plugin to add specification for each product (it can be table or custom content) which is compatible with Catalog Mode, feel free to check our Size Guide Plugin.

If you would like to use external url (like amazon https://www.amazon.com/) – you can only define one, common url for all products.

Please notice that default WooCommerce functionality allows you to link every product to some external page, you need to use “External/Affiliate Product” option for this: screenshot.

ok in your desycription, there is the text… Enable or disable catalog mode per product and per product categories.. so if i had the cateory thsirts, and i want to link to spreadshirt for example, yout plugin do this?

Our plugin can disable cart functionality and (optionally) price for products. ‘Enable or disable catalog mode per product categories’ means that to remove ‘add to cart’ button for group of products you don’t have to do it individually for each product, but you can switch on/switch off the plugin in products categories settings. This way – you can e.g. show all products from category ‘next delivery’ in catalog mode (without option to purchase the items) and products from category ‘t-shirts’ as normal woocommerce products.

I have two licenses of this product but it simply does not work at the product level to enable or disable the pricing and cart options. On the one site where I’m having the most problems support has expired but it doesn’t make sense to me that I should have to pay for support for an item that doesn’t work as advertised. Wordpress, theme and plugin are all updated to latest versions, but the plugin only works in global mode. If I try to enable to disable the cart and pricing at the product level, it doesn’t do a thing, regardless of what the global settings are. I can leave all checkboxes unchecked, and product level options do NOT disable the cart/price. I can check global mode in general settings and still, product level enable/disable does not work at the product level.

This used to work with the plugin but not anymore on my two sites. Please advise.

Hi Chris!

The issue can be created by overriding woocommerce templates used in your theme. We will be able to help you only after checking the issue directly on your website. So even though your support expired please send as an e-mail: support@createit.pl with details how to access your website so we will be able to check the problems you are having with the plugin.

Thanks, createIT

I updated all the woocommerce theme templates on one site and it now seems to be working again. Will try the same thing on the other site and report back.
