Thanks for reaching out.
Once a customer ticks the Messenger checkbox and clicks Add to cart, he then automatically gets opted in to get Facebook messages from your Facebook page. Your page then sends him 3 alert messages if he didn’t check out. Once he check out, the plugin can send one confirmation message with coupon for next purchases.

Any plans of a SMS version of this also? I saw one that had that integrated with twilio right after I purchased this one. Fashionnova.com does that and they send messenger and SMS messages to me so much that it makes me want to purchase so they leave me alone. Would be a great addon

Hello, this is a pre-purchase question.

I used to manage abandoned cart messages with a service called Recart. With them, i managed to get the “pre-checked” add to cart widget. So, can i keep this feature with your plugin?

I understand facebok doesn’t allow new accounts to have this feature. But what if i already had this?

If i can have this pre-checked with you i will buy the plugin and stop using Recart.

Pre-Sale – Is it possible to have the checkbox checked if facebook approves this? Also is their email capture functionality and the ability to send offers to people who have subscribed to receive messages?

The checkbox may not be prechecked for new integrations except that your Facebook page was used to connect another service which also have this checkbox in the past.

I was going to purchase this, but without the checkbox pre-checked it’s useless. People will not check it.

You can customize a text line to ask people to check the box by offering a discount/ coupon. For example, “Please check the box below and you’ll get a coupon of 10%OFF via your Facebook Messenger”.

Customers just need log in the first time, then the browser can remember for later. In case they are not logged in, they still can add items to cart, so you don’t need to worry about losing your customers. Is that correct?

And when customers optin to Messenger will they be added to the subscriber list or it is only for 24h like Recart.

When a customer added to cart, he will be added to Add to cart list with no personal info, just product info only. Once he replied to the reminder message, he is added to subscriber list forever.

Hi, I’ve tried in mobile and it’s ok, but on desktop I don’t receive any message. Is supposed to work only in mobile, or also on desktop?

Yes, that new link is included in the whole documentation already. You need Facebook approval to use this app, it is easy to get this approval following our guide. The review process takes several weeks.
