Love your plug-in. I would like to suggest that you add native support for Beaver Builder and Formidable Forms. The Lite versions of both of these are available at wordpress.org. Thanks!

Hi there,

Glad you like it!

I will very soon add support for the plugins you mentioned.

Best Regards,
Gautam Thapar

Just downloaded version 1.9.5 update. Beaver Builder & Formidable added… THANKS!

Most welcome!

Let me know if you have any other suggestions. :)

Hi Gautam…my WP dashboard says that there is a ButtonsX update (1.9.41), I currently have 1.9.4…however, when I come to codecanyon to download the latest version, the version I downloaded is still 1.9.4. It also will not update via the wp dashboard plugin update ‘system’ Thanks.

Hi there,

Only major updates are uploaded on CodeCanyon.

Please make sure there is no space before the license code in settings and then try to update from dashboard.

Wow – Simply a fantastic piece of work. I am really happy with it. This isn’t a problem as such – more a quick question. Is it possible to disable the text on hover? That is, to make the text disappear on hover and then return once the button is in its normal state? Thanks again for a plugin that is worth every penny.

Duh – silly me. Of course underneath the color picker is an opacity slider. I adjusted opacity to zero and answered my own question. I’ll leave these comments here just in case someone else is searching the topic.

Hi there,

Glad that you like the plugin and glad that you were able to solve the issue yourself.

Hello Again – Please excuse me using this facility to post questions rather than go through your support centre. However, once again, this isn’t a fault of your plugin or even of mine, or a server issue but rather the quirks of CSS. Perhaps it can also be a suggestion for future updates of the plugin.

Thing is, I have a background image and a hover animation ‘shutter in vertical’ employed. When rollover happens, the background image is loaded and the animation goes along nicely. When rollout happens, the background image is unloaded exactly when the animation to “close” the button starts. This creates a flash of the background color instead of the background image staying loaded long enough for the animation to finish.

Is there any way to delay unloading the background image until the animation finishes? And do away with the ugly flicker of white that occurs when the background is unloaded and before the animation finishes?

Thank you so much for any thoughts you can contribute on this. The test button that this is happening to is on http://traumalife.co.uk/button-test/#1469516657230-b4d9839e-8624

Setting background image for normal view should solve this.

Spot on Gautam! :-) Thank you for your simple explanation and fix – was I overdoing the thinking on this one! And thank you very much for such a swift reply. I am really impressed by your customer support.

Most welcome! You are doing just fine.

Nice plugin!

Are these buttons capable of changing the css of another div?

Hi there,

There is an option to override CSS where you can add custom class name and the button related CSS will be applied to that class name. Not a complete solution but somewhat works.

Great plugin, so far! I’m looking for the possibility to add an anchor link, but it don’t work.

How is this possible?

Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you for the kind words!

By anchor link you mean normal link right? If yes, then under link type select “URL” and then URL field will appear. Enter your link in URL field and save button.

And is it possible to see the button? I mean can you share the page where I can check the button?

Dear Gautam,

Is ‘t possible to disable a button on smaller screens?

Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes, that’s possible. Hide button options are available on the right sidebar on button edit screen.

Check the below image:

Thanks, there was I looking for!

You are welcome.

Thanks for sharing!

You are welcome.

Hi Gautam, i like your plugin but i need solve a question.

Can i use a button in a wordpress menu? I think that i need to create a custom class and then use this custom class in a element of menu.

Can i do this?

Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you!

Yes, you can add a button to WordPress menu. It is similar to adding a menu item. If you don’t see buttons tab in navigation menu alongside posts & pages then you need to enable it from screen options.

Awesome! You are most welcome.

Hi, I have a pre purchase question: is it possible to make two action on one button? What I need is to send client to new page with target blank and in the meanwhile change a text one the button. I run an aff site and I would need to reveal coupon code

Hi there,

You can send the client to new page but unfortunately you will need some custom code to replace the button text with a coupon code.

Hey! Thanks for the nice plugin.

I want to display a button with menu in footer, however the dropdown menu is always below the button.

I tried with css and it worked, but i want it only for some buttons, how do i achieve this?

My css code was

.btnsx-dropdown-menu {bottom: 100%;}

.btnsx-btn-group .btnsx-dropdown-menu:before, .btnsx-btn-group .btnsx-dropdown-menu:after { top: 100%; transform: rotate(180deg);}

This is not a real solution, as i think those are the wrong classes… :-(

Hi there,

Glad you like it!

You can try something like this -
#btnsx-4501-dropdown {
    top: auto;
    bottom: 100%;
    margin-bottom: 8px;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:before {
    border-top-color: #ccc;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:after {
    border-top-color: #fff;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:before, #btnsx-4501-dropdown:after {
    top: 100%;
}

Replace “4501” with your button ID.

For multiple buttons, you can do like this -
#btnsx-4501-dropdown, #btnsx-4502-dropdown {
    top: auto;
    bottom: 100%;
    margin-bottom: 8px;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:before, #btnsx-4502-dropdown:before {
    border-top-color: #ccc;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:after, #btnsx-4502-dropdown:after {
    border-top-color: #fff;
}
#btnsx-4501-dropdown:before, #btnsx-4501-dropdown:after, #btnsx-4502-dropdown:before, #btnsx-4502-dropdown:after {
    top: 100%;
}

Please give it a try and let me know the result.

Hi there, I’m interested in your plugin. I wanted to know, can I create full width buttons? Like block level large buttons full width at the button of my blog posts? Do you perhaps have a developer version? I have 5 websites I’d like to have it installed on. Mozie

Hi Mozie,

Yes, full width buttons are supported. Unfortunately we are not allowed to offer any license other than what is available here so you will need to buy five regular licenses if you need to use it on 5 different websites.

Hello

I am having a problem with the responsiveness. I am using the latest version of this plugin. The responsiveness does not work if I put the single button on auto responsive so I am doing it manually. It works, but every time I go back to change something in that button the text size and layout size goes back to the default and does not show the number I used. It messes up visually on the mobile devices as well. Please help, I really like these buttons Here is the page: http://www.victorygracecenter.org/New-Staging-Site/our-church.

Thanks Jen

If you have downloaded the plugin from CodeCanyon then yes. The update should be v1.9.51.

Working great, thanks

Most welcome.

Before we buy, we would like to know: Which Icon Sets are available in Buttons X? I have looked for it on your website but could not find any info there.

Hi Charlie,

Font awesome is the default icon set. You have the option to set any PNG image as an icon for both normal and hover state.

i added a button, and the button is actually a url link, but when i clicked it, it automatically adds the product to cart. why is that?

kindly update the file thru the support ticket. thanks, it would really be helpful of you

Okay, give me some time.

Done. You can now download the latest version from your support ticket.

Hello there, I have a pre-sale query. 1. Is it possible to use this within BeTheme builder? 2. I am trying to run a Vimeo/YT video in a popup window as in your example. Is it possible to increase the size of the video on mobile devices as the example looks tiny on mobile devices? Thanks and regards

Hello,

1. Sorry, we haven’t tried BeTheme builder yet. 2. May I know the example you are referring to? We support a few popup plugins, paid and free.

I am referring to the example listed in here: http://examples.button.sx/wp-video-lightbox/

Can it handle Vimeo videos and most importantly can we make the video larger on mobile devices? And of course can I get a refund IF it doesn’t work on Betheme?

Thanks

Okay, that is WP Video Lightbox plugin. You can find more details about it here – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-video-lightbox/. We also support Popup Maker, Layered Popups, Ninja Popups, PopupPress and OptinMonster.

The buttons will work with any theme, but we haven’t added support for BeTheme builder. What I mean is you won’t be able to create buttons out of the box using BeTheme builder, but you can use button shortcodes if BeTheme builder widget/element supports shortcode.

Hi, I just tried your plugin, but I don’t seem to be able to add my own attributes to the button links.

Is that correct or am I missing something?

These are the kind of attributes I need to be able to add to the links:

data-thirsty_gct_link_id=”9796” data-thirsty_gct_link_name=”My Link Name” data-thirsty_gct_link_post_permalink=”/go/link-url-path/”

Can you please let me know if that’s possible? And if so, how?

Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul,

Are you comfortable editing theme files? We use custom attributes for the tooltip add-on. Below is how to add custom attributes:

add_filter( 'btnsx_output_button_attributes_filter', 'btnsx_tooltip_output', 10, 3 );
/**
 * Buttons X - Button Attributes Filter
 */
function btnsx_tooltip_output( array $data, $options, $atts ) {

    extract( shortcode_atts( $options, $atts ) );

    $meta = get_post_meta( $id, 'btnsx', true );

    if( $tooltip_text === '' ){
        $tooltip_text = isset( $meta['btnsx_tooltip']['text'] ) ? $meta['btnsx_tooltip']['text'] : '';
    }
    if( $tooltip_animation === '' ){
        $tooltip_animation = isset( $meta['btnsx_tooltip']['animation'] ) ? $meta['btnsx_tooltip']['animation'] : '';
    }

    if( $tooltip_text != '' ){
        $data[] = array(
            'data-tooltip-text="' . $tooltip_text . '"',
            'data-tooltip-animation="' . $tooltip_animation . '"'
        );
    }

    return $data;
}

Modify the code according to your needs. You can place this code in your theme’s function.php file.

Yeah I’m comfortable with that.

But will that code allow me to use different argument values for each button?

If yes, can you give an example of how I would use it? Takes less time to explain for you then for me to figure it out on my own.

Thanks, Paul

Yes, you can return different data based on button ID. Inside the filter callback you can do something like this:

if ( $id === '123' ) {
$data[] = array(
            'data-tooltip-text="' . $tooltip_text . '"',
            'data-tooltip-animation="' . $tooltip_animation . '"'
        );
} else {
$data[] = array(
            'data-tooltip-text2="' . $tooltip_text . '"',
            'data-tooltip-animation2="' . $tooltip_animation . '"'
        );
}

And I also need to be able to ad an onclick attribute

For on click attribute simply add “on_click_content” parameter to button short code – [btnsx on_click_content=”..your code here…”].
