Hi. I just purchased the Specials Days add-on. (I now have the complete collection except for the Deposit add-on ) But it is bugged. It does not save the breaks. Another bug found. Seems like the availability of the staff does not display correctly in the calendar. I have 2 staff members, set availability on the same day with a “Special Day”. See what happens in the calendar. The white area does not correspond at all to what has been set. The availability of one staff does not appear and the other one does not display the breaks. At this time its necessary that staff member has that day as a working day in their regular Schedule. Though if you are sure that everything is set properly but it still doesn’t work – please, send us an email at email@example.com with this report and probably some other details of this case, so we could promptly implement necessary fixes.
Hello. Is this fixed? Is it now possible to add a Special Day for a staff member without that day being in his regular schedule? That would be great.
The new schedule will affect only the front end and not the back end, you can check the schedule of the added special day on the front end.
That’s not convenient if you have a clinic manager. The clinic manager is dealing with the back-end and needs to see the availability from the back-end, not from the front-end. It needs to be visible in the calendar view of the bookly back-end.
This looks like a feature we haven’t implemented yet. However, we’re constantly working on improvements and value all feedback. I bought the SpecialDdays add-on 2 months ago. I have right away noticed the calendar was not displaying staff availability when days were set with Special Days. I have noticed your team and your answer was very disappointing. I don’t understand by which magic you have considered it to be an “additional feature” instead of a bug. You are selling an incomplete product.You are providing an add-on which sets staff availability but does not display it; how is that useful? It is not an additional feature, it is a proper bug or worst: a conceptual mistake of the development team. Not fixing a bug within 2 months it was notified is VERY POOR customer service.
I have provided the tool to my client today. And of course, they are very unhappy. They informed me it was unusable in the current state because their clinic supervisor can not see at a glance how many practitioners are working at a certain time because it does not show in the calendar. The clinic has 6 rooms; as a matter of fact there is no easy way for them to know if they can book more practitioners or not with the current interface.
I am very unhappy with Ladela’s customer service. Not only because there are severe bugs in paying products and not only because nothing has been done 2 months after being notified of the issue, but because of the dishonesty of the team as it avoids the issue by classifying bugs as “additional features”. To be completely honest, I would not recommend the product to professionals in its current state and would warn professional development team of the lack of responsiveness and honesty of Ladela’s developers.
The add-on was designed this way with the decision how to display the schedule the Calendar. If it was a bug it would have been fixed already, though as your request is specifically for your business needs, we can’t implement it currently, as we have limited resources for development. This is reason we created a feature request list so more popular features get voted and implemented afterwards.
I don’t believe it is specifically for my business. Who would buy an add-on to set availability and not need to have it working in the back-end views as well as the front-end?? If it is a choice and not a bug, please explain a scenario in which it would make sense that the staff’s schedule set with this add-on would not need to be displayed in the back-end in the same way that the normal schedule displays in the back-end.
Hi, the add-on was developed with front-end in mind as the task was to conveniently adjust and display staff availability for end-users. Usually admins and staff know their working days and they just set those days so that customers could book them. Of course we agree that this is a necessary improvement and have recorded this case. Once we have enough resources, we will get back to implementing this solution so that the calendar would display staff availability including special days and not only the main Schedule. There are lots of open cases from our customers and several high priority bug-fixes that always take our development team’s time and as you might know, we no longer provide customization services.

I already have Bookly and am interested in your Special Days extension. Can you tell me please, if the company business hours are normally set to closed on Sundays, is it possible to use the extension to allow a member of staff to be scheduled to work on a ‘special’ one off Sunday date?

Hi. For some reason, the availabilities of the staff members don’t show the calendar when set with the Special Days. When will the next version be released please? I need it urgently.
Currently the calendar displays only the set schedule and days off of the staff member/s, we’ll see what can be done about in future releases.

I don’t understand why you are making this choice. It does not make sense to me. It would be much clearer if the back-end was affected as well… maybe if you don’t want to mix it up then you could display the slots in another color but still it needs to appear as available in the Calendar!

How come there are absolutely no hooks (filters/actions) in Bookly? It makes it very difficult to tweak it to match our client’s expectations.
Sorry, but currently there’s no support for hooks.
is there a solution to limit th datepicker for the special days so user cant select other dates?

You have probably already created a staff member account so in this case you should navigate to the //Staff Members/Schedule tab to set necessary hours for days of the week. There is also the Days Off tab to disable certain days of the year. Please, note that //Settings/Business Hours page settings work as a template for newly created staff members. So you might set those settings as well, but only staff members schedules affect timeframe available for booking.
I have the newest version of Bookly plugin (Version 11.8) and I installed the Special days addon so I can manage my staff working days with more flexibility.
When I go to manage my Staff members I see the new «Special days» option with the green button to add a new schedule for a specific day. When I click on the button I can add a new day with the time, but at the bottom there is two php error display:

I didn’t modify any code of the plugin, even if I am able to add new special days the new schedules are not updated in the calendar.

Hi there, i’ve just purchased Bookly & Special Days Add-on. Unfortunately i’m having difficulty with the Special Days.
Let me explain
The staff members normal schedule on Monday is 9.00am – 5pm which shoes correctly on the booking form for any given Monday.
I’m trying to set a special day for him on Monday 19th December, so i have added a special day on his schedule from 9am – 9pm.
When i save this and test the booking form, his availability only shows 9am -11.30am.
If i delete the special day then it goes back to 9am – 5pm. So in actual fact the Special Day is reducing his availability instead of increasing it as required.

My customer, a sauna, wants a reservation module on his site. Cuold you confirm taht the following options/Features are available with your plugin please?
- set up minimal booking time (2 hours) – booking mandatory 48h in advance – booking possible between 48h and 1min in advance only by the admin in the admin interface or other? – bookings available only between 10:00AM and 10:00PM – mandatory unavailability of 2hours after every booking during the week and mandatory unavailibility of 1hour during the week-end. (needed time to clean the sauna for the next guest) – minimal booking duration of 2hours. – no maximum booking duration (except between 10:00AM and 10:00PM as mentioned above)

1) Bookly is designed to work with time slots so the duration of a service is fixed. You could create more services with various duration, starting with 2 hours. You can set a minimum time requirement prior to booking for 2 days that will affect the front end. In the back end you can create freely appointments.
2) You can set this schedule, and use padding times after the booked appointments.
3) The longest duration of a service is a full day.

Hi Ladela, The plugin seems great at first. But as with many other here on the support forum, it is completely useless for me.
We have a receptionist planning all the appointments done by phone and walk-ins. It the receptionist cannot see the special schedule in the backend how can het plan in the customers in the schedule?
This is a very big issue which makes this plugin useless to any company that accepts and plans appointments by phone, email or walk-ins.
You guys call it a additional feature, but actually the plugin just isn’t finished.
Please finish the plugin as soon as possible, since I payed $20 for a plugin I cannot use now.
