Hey

Just updated all my bookly plugins, but now on the first appointment page, the days of the week spacing is off, and Sun no longer shows. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hello, can I set a calendar only for a month like October with only two days to book where the customer don’t see any other days? I figure a booking for an event.

Bookly is designed to work with a weekly schedule, after you set up the staff member’s schedule – this schedule will be repeated for the following weeks. The special days add-on offers the option to add days with a different schedule, that will override the weekly schedule. So you can disable at all the staff member’s schedule and just add the day/s when the event will take place.

You will need to create new services for these days, that will have a different pricing and use the special days add-on with the service schedule add-on. With both add-ons you will have the option to add “special days” for services. Hello!

I purchased the Special Days Add-on. I need to select large blocks of days as Special Days, but the Add-on requires manual selection of one day at a time, which is very tedious.

1. Is there a plan to make a feature to select multiple days or a block of days at a time, like a specific date range?

2. In the meantime is there a way to populate the database with the values I need, and if so, could you kindly inform me how?

a) ab_service_special_days – special days for services;

1 & 3) Yes, I understand this, but there are many seasonal industries during which certain periods of the year are busy years, and would need a different schedule for time blocks of up to several months at a time. For example, for tax professionals, during tax season when meeting the same deadline for many clients, would require the ability to block out perhaps a block of a month or more to offer extended hours during that busy season and shorter hours for the rest of the year.

This is the kind of usage case I purchased this add-on for, and I was disappointed to discover that it is very inconvenient and time-consuming to use in this case, because one must add one day at a time. There are many service industries with this kind of seasonal fluctuation that would find the ability to input blocks of time rather than individual days useful.

It would also be helpful to have an additional calendar view for the special days like you have for the staff days off, because it is not intuitive to choose dates without referencing a full calendar, and it is not intuitive to visualize the dates you have already chosen in this list format.

2 & 4) Thank you for the table references. I found them and have inserted data using simple commands.

I have two more questions: 1. Could you kindly tell me how to insert rows of data in which the date value increments by +1 day for a specific date range? I would like to use this command to insert blocks of dates into the following tables: ab_service_special_days – special days for services ab_staff_special_days – special days for staff members

2. Could you also kindly tell me how to insert rows of data in which the `service_special_day_id` value or `staff_special_day_id` value increments by +1 for a specific number of rows? I would like to use this command to insert rows of data into the following tables: ab_service_special_days_breaks – special days for services ab_special_days_breaks – special days’ breaks for staff members

I can execute basic mySQL queries, but I am not a professional programmer, which is why I rely on plug-ins such as your for increased functionality on my site. Since this needed feature is not coded into the add-on, I would very much appreciate clear instruction in this matter so I can fully utilize the plugin to serve the purpose for which I purchased it.

1) Thanks for the feedback. I advise adding this functionality as a feature request together with the scenario and reasons why do you need this functionality.

2) I recommend checking the date and time functions for mysql queries: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/date-and-time-functions.html that will help with this inquiry. IDs are generated automatically when you insert data.

I need to set booking time daily starting from 10 am. It’s only time which is available per day. How it is the easiest to set?

You can set the working hours of the Staff Member starting from 10 am and equal to the length of the service. In this way, customers will be able to book the only time slot available.

ok! Thank you. Now another problem: When i try to put 2 diferent hours in one day it says: Duplicate dates are not permitted. Why? How can i solve this out? In the same day i wanna put the single hours, per example 9:00 to 10:00 and 15:00 to 16:00. Thank you

There’s no option to add more times the same day with different hours. For this case you need to add a day with this schedule 9:00 – 16:00 and this break 10:00 – 15:00.

Hello! I have a quick question. How can i lock a date for an event that is held on a weekly schedule (example 6 weeks, same day, same hour)? For example, a tennis course with a slot of 5 attendants, that is paid once and it is running for 6 weeks, on Saturday, from 9.00 AM – 10.00 AM. If one attendant pays the course, how can i be able to lock that 9.00 AM – 10.00 AM hour for the next 6 weeks so other people cannot book it? Is there any way how we can set the calendar so we do not overlap our bookings?

Unfortunately, this answer doesn’t address my question. I am asking how I am able to lock a specified hour (in this case 09.15 AM – 10.00 AM for an event that lasts for 6 weeks), from the first day of the start of the event to the last day of the event. For example: we are running a tennis course for kids. This tennis course has 16 available slots. The event starts of 1 February, but booking ends with one day before the event starts. If 1 kid has booked and there are 15 more available slots that have not been occupied, I want to lock all the slots for the upcoming 6 weeks while the course lasts, so I won’t get overlapping services during the time of the course. This tennis course needs to have the 6 days (1 day per week) with 6 hour slots (9.15-10 AM) reserved for the course.

At the moment, the course will be blocked only on the first day (of the six week calendar) (only if the maximum number of participants is achieved), but you are able to book the same course on the next week (which is not what we want – because each course has 6 lessons)

We want to be able to lock the course for the hole period for 1, 2, 3, or how many participants are registering (in the maximum limit set) in the registering period. If none books, hour should be available, if one to 16 books should be locked for the period of 6 weeks on the time frame given.

At the moment, courses are overlapping.

If on week 1 it is fully booked (it is locked) but in the second week (16 other slots are available for booking). Instead of allowing 96 (6×16) places to be booked for a period of 6 weeks, we want only 1-16 (min-max limit).

This is not a one off event, it is a recurring event with the same hours for a number of set weeks. At the moment, we can book the same event in the first week, 2nd to 6th. we want to book only in the 1st week, get the course finished and lock that time for no other possible bookings. Thank you! At the moment, we have Bookly + Special Days + Service Schedule. Is there any other addon that we should consider?

Currently, there isn’t an option to create such a service. Probably in future release the package add-on will help with this case. Till then, you can try the recurring appointments add-on, with this add-on you create a recurring series of appointments (the capacity functionality is not supported for the recurring series). I bought the $89 package plus the special day add on. I’m a photographer and I want to offer a special portrait one one specific day. I just want that special day to show up (with all the different time slots) when the client tries to book. How do i override the normal schedule and just have special day show up? Do I have to buy another add one other than the special day add on?

Also when i create a special day and input the time range, the time just changes. What i mean is i put a special day for 7am-6pm, i save it, go to a different tab, but when i come back to the special day it changes it to 7am-10am.

1) You need to disable all the days in staff member’s schedule and then create a special schedule for the staff member. In this case, only special days will show up for booking on the front-end.

Also one more issue, from the clients view when they are booking something and get to the “detail” part, my email address shows up in the email part. It should be blank. When I go to appearance and look at settings, that email field is blank, but then on my site in client view, my address show up. Why isn’t then email field blank?

Remember personal information in cookies – if this setting is enabled then returning customers will have their personal information fields filled in at the Details step with the data previously saved in cookies.

Your email and name are automatically populated because you are logged with your WordPress user account.

But we can’t see all the next available slots on the same «page»? Because we have an event every month, and when we look at the availability calendar, it looks like there is only one event available. We have to scroll until the next month to see there are other availabilities.
