Hi.

this is the third time I'm requesting for help regarding setting this plugin up and there've been no response, like a week now! Maybe your "CONTACT US" within the plugin doesn't...?!

Can someone kindly respond.

I purchased “Bookly Booking Plugin – Responsive Appointment Booking and Scheduling” and “Bookly Deposit Payments (Add-on)”

Now, my current issue is to do with deposit. (as I do a tester payment) I reach the payment section, the deposit is shown to me as the buyer, but as I move to the next section to pay the deposit, the option is not there, even though I’ve specified the deposit amount, the only option is to pay in full.

I would appreciate a response.

You probably need to update the codes from the booking form to display the relevant prices, which can be done in the appearance menu.

How do I update the codes? I am not a programmer. I just want a working plugin that displays the 50% deposit booking amount to my clients under payment tab while checking out.

It shows full payment. However, I have already set the deposit required to 50% under the Staff Member menu.

You don’t need programming skills, please access the appearance menu -> payment step -> and add these codes with the relevant text: {amount_due} and {amount_to_pay}.

Thanks for your previous support. I am looking to use Twilio for my SMS delivery as your integrated service seems very expensive to send SMS to UK numbers. Is there an option to use other service provider like Twilio?

The SMS notifications service is an in-house built solution, there’s no option to use other third party gateways.

Hi. Have been using bookly for nearly a year, great app. However, I bought the bookly deposit add-on and downloaded it. When I tried upload and install the plugin on wordpress the following appeared… “Unpacking the package…

Please help, why is this the case?

Deposits are not working. I have it enabled as well set the percentages for the staff members. But during booking, it never shows the deposit amount only the full amount.

Please check if you using the correct codes in the booking form/notifications: {amount_due} and {amount_paid}.

Is there somewhere in the documentation that explains this better? I understand now somewhat what you are referring but would still like some more insight on best practice for using the codes in the system for the best flow possible for the customer.

The documentation says…

With the deposit placed, the customer can complete the payment via a bank transfer or by paying offline at the time of visit.

If we are using your PayPal add-on can the customer pay using their regular Visa or Master Card credit cards through PayPal ?

Hi,

1) Probably it will work, though PayPal team should have more a definite answer regarding this question.

2) The remaining balance can be payed offline at the time of visit or by other means, like a bank transfer. It can be recorded in the payment details, once the customer has paid the remaining balance, you have a button “Complete payment” to manage the appointments that were already payed.

OK.

So, for now, the remaining money is collected outside of Bookly, and then we can manually record the amount of money paid toward the remaining balance.

Are there any plans to make the “PayPal Add-On” communicate with the “Deposits Add-On” for customers in the United States?

Still need help. I just need to get rid of the “employee” section, show the prices next to the services, I can’t see where deposits show up, and also, when I’m testing the booking process, the “Payment” section disappears when I get to “Details”

If you want to the employee field you need to update the shortcode of the booking in the page editing mode. Please check this guide for more details:

If you want to display the service’s price on the first step of the booking form, you will need to add the price in the service’s title. Regarding other steps, you could use the deposit codes.

I notice when you use the deposit add on and also utilize coupons it makes the user pay the full discount amount and not the deposit amount. Example is we require a $50 deposit but we have a $200 off coupon code we are currently giving out. When users apply the code on check out, it makes the user pay the full amount after the discount has been issued. Not the deposit amount.

We have bought bookly plugin from u which we implemented on our site .. Now we were looking for deposits and refund plugin.. .so tht customer can give few % of total amount before and few amount later.. will this plugin work with ur plugin of bookly ? Also do u have refund plugin also so tht if order gets cancelled or anything then we can refund amount to the customer? Please let me know

With the deposits add-on you can set up deposit payments with percentage or fixed rate. The amount that’s left to pay, can be paid only locally by the customer. Currently, such an add-on is not available.

With this add-on, are we able to create a customer profile (for example in Stripe) where we can charge the deposit at the time of booking, and then charge the rest at any time after?

For example: The guest makes their reservation and pays 25% deposit. Then, 48 hours prior to their check-in time, we can charge the remaining 75% to make sure that they don’t “no-show”?

If not, I HIGHLY recommend adding this ability. Without it, that is a huge limitation because in many scenarios it opens up the ability for the guest to essentially prevent others from booking, yet they can just not show up and there is no way for the business to recover the lost revenue.

Only being able to charge the remainder in-person also runs into the problem of guests not showing up with proper payment methods, enough money, payments getting declined, etc. Being able to charge the remainder in advance protects the business and the reservation from abuse.

I’m repeating this users comment (I also voted for it though your feature request section barely gets enough votes to really draw your attention). I think this is one of the biggest things needed for this plugin. I simply can’t justify buying bookly and the deposits addon without this functionality. Please please please make this possible as other services already have this feature. Is there still no update on adding the functionality of allowing the customer the option to either pay the deposit or the full amount? I can see that the feature request for this has been submitted over a year ago with a lot of customers requesting for this feature. It would be disappointing if this is still not possible.
