Hi there, I’m not sure if you can help me or not. But I’m wondering if your able to add custom fields to the cancellation form. I’m not able to find any documentation on how to do this.

Hello, I’m considering Bookly for my client’s restaurant website reservation system. I have some specific requirements. Can you tell me whether this is possible with Bookly PRO + Custom Fields addon (or with other addons)? What I’m looking for:

1. a form with conditional fields so that when the visitor reserves for 10 or more adults (does not apply for children, so separate fields for number of adults and number of children), an extra step is introduced where the visitor needs to choose one of the group menu options for each person. 2. for group reservations of 10 er more, the owner has to approve the reservation request before it is accepted (it should also be possible to automatically accept these reservations, depending on how we set it up, as this need may change in the future). 3. it must be possible to temporarily block reservations and supply a message (for example when the restaurant is closed due to vacation).

1. Please check if the Bookly Custom Fields Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003963514-Custom-Fields-add-on will work for this requirement. It allows you to create the different types of questions that the clients would need to fill out in the Details step before the booking confirmation. And all these reservation details will be added to your Bookly Calendar, and can also be added to the email notifications for both your staff members and customers. To add this to the email notifications for both your staff members and customers, the {custom_fields} code needs to be added to the email body. Note that the {custom_fields} code is only available for single notifications.

With this add-on, you can set a condition for displaying a specific custom field only when a particular value is selected (or isn’t selected) in another custom field. Currently, you can add a condition only to Checkbox Group, Radio Button Group, or Dropdown types of custom fields in the If statement. And if you create an appointment via the back-end, you can add the information for the custom fields by clicking on the customer’s name when you edit the appointment: http://joxi.ru/52aankzSg1QOD2.

For example, you can configure a custom field for the question, “Are you booking an appointment for yourself?”. If the answer is yes, it goes to the next step. However, if the answer is no, then another custom field will pop up where the customer can enter the name of the person the appointment is booked for.

2. You can set the ‘Default appointment status’ to ‘Pending and make use of the notifications by adding the {approve_appointment_url} URL of approve appointment link to use inside the tag so the staff member can approve the appointment.

Several types of triggered and scheduled notifications can be done via Bookly, to keep clients and staff in the loop of appointment status updates and remind them of upcoming events. Please check these articles for more information and instructions.

You can customize the texts to various booking steps, display custom content depending on your scenario, and how the front-end booking form looks and is personalized. For group reservations, the Bookly Group Booking Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000259594-Group-Booking-Add-on works for this requirement. It allows you to accept group bookings or multiple persons for the same service and staff member at the same time and let customers specify the number of persons they’d like to book for when they choose a service at the first step of the booking process. The price will increase depending on the number of persons selected. Otherwise, you can hide the ‘Number of persons’ field when publishing the booking form which means that all appointments will be booked for one person per booking. And it will no longer offer the same time for the same service and staff member if it’s booked to the maximum capacity.

3. Admin or a staff member can block vacation days in the staff members’ calendar or add a placeholder/dummy appointment. However, the customized message saying isn’t supported yet. As you may already know, Bookly is designed to work with a weekly schedule. The schedules you set up for the staff members are their consistent availability moving forward – for each and every week. So timeslots offered in the front-end booking form are founded on these schedules. And the time slot interval or how the hours are divided and presented in the booking form is based on the time slot length.

Hello, thank you for the elaborate explanation. It all sounds good, and I have been looking at the WP-admin demo for some more details. What I am still wondering, is how I would achieve to put two group menu options with full menu information within a field. I see the text fields support HTML, but that would make it quite difficult to manage for a content manager without HTML knowledge. Do you see a way where I could create the group menu as a separate page, and load it into a custom field for display?

Good morning. We are making a new website for a client from scratch. We already had Bookly configured on the old website. 1-Could we export all the plugin configuration data to the new website to avoid having to configure everything again??? 2- and also the data How to do it…???

Thank you for your message.

You can use the bookly debug page for transferring the bookly data your-site-name/wp-admin/admin.php?page=bookly-diagnostics&debug Use Export/Import buttons. Export the data from the source site and import to the destination website. Please make sure that the same version of the bookly plugin is installed on both sites. Please note, that this is a test and undocumented plugin feature, so we do not guarantee 100% correctness of its work. But, as a rule, imports and exports are performed without problems. With FTP access please follow these steps:

1. Copy the same version of the bookly plugin to your new website via FTP

2. Transfer all database tables with ‘wp_bookly_’ prefix from the old website to the new website

3. Transfer all records from the wp_options database table where option_name starting with ‘bookly’ from the old website to the new website

Is there any possible to not show info about payment when amount i 0. Or disable this info permanently.

is it possible too combine the {custom_fields} tag with google calendar? Because when i put the code in the calendar form it won´t show the information that suppose too say in the calendar when the appointment is made.

I get my individual fields transferred to Google Calendar very well. I am glad that this works so easily and reliably with your plugin/add-on. At this point a big praise.

I am also trying to use the same fields in Settings > Email Notifications > “Notify staff of approved date”. Unfortunately, only empty fields are passed in the email.

How do I get the content of the fields also in the e-mail notifications?

It is saying i cannot authorise proof of purchase for my booking pro, custom firleds pro and adons purchases i made as it is associated with another domain. it has always been with ps-enviro.co.uk.

i changed to a different server recently so i guess this is the issue. but please can you remove the association it has with another domain so i can re add.

Hello,

I am having issues with the bookly app. I updated the email I want notifications to go to, but it still seems to be going to the old email. I changed the email under staff members profile, but the emails still seem to be going to the old email. Is there another spot I need to update the email?

Hi, I think it’s very sad that this plugin doesn’t allow to add a placeholder argument and pattern argument to the input fields. It’s basic html arguments of input fields. Please add these options to the custom fields created, so we can add a placeholder and verify the input. For a booking plugin, it is very important to be able to check the input pattern. Thanks!

Bookly Custom Fields (Add-on) allows you to create different types of custom questions that the clients would need to fill out before the booking confirmation. You can make the fields required or optional, and bind them to the specific services only. The reservation details will be added to the appointment details and can be edited if necessary. Some types of custom questions can be used for conditional fields, so a specific custom field will be displayed only when a certain value is selected (or isn’t selected) in another custom field.

While the Custom Fields (Add-on) adds more information to the appointment, the Customer Information (Add-on) allows you to collect additional information about the customer. Specific questions are also displayed at the Details step in a booking form, but these details are saved in a customer’s profile.

With your own custom fields in Bookly, you can collect and store all required data from your customers. Both add-ons allow you to create additional fields that are displayed at the Details step of the booking process. The main difference is that information from these fields will be added to either appointment details in the Bookly Calendar or client profile in the Customers section.
