Will your plugin allow me to set one image for the main background and a different image for the body/container background?
Yes, you can do this, but it would need to be done manually. Instead of using the WP version, you would need to use the JS version (http://codecanyon.net/item/bgstretcher-jquery-background-resizer-slideshow/5328926). We can assist you in this, just contact us at email@example.com.
Can you support help us to setup the JS Version on a wordpress site?
Absolutely. Just send details on your exact requirements to our main email. We will review it and if it’s just some guidance or tips on where to add the code, we will send that info over and help you to get it setup as needed. Please note that if it is a more involved customization project with WordPress, it may have to be submitted as a work-order which our WordPress developers at htmlBlender.com can do for you. But, let’s start with the details. It’s sounds like a minor mod and shouldn’t be anything too complicated.
Ok cheers again,
We reviewed the info. It is no problem to code the functionality as you described. This would need to be a custom project though. Please email us for the next steps.
Can this plugin be added only to certain wordpress pages? I dont want the same background slider on every page.
Yes, there is a function that allows you to select pages, posts or custom post types where the bgStretcher should be displayed.
Hi. I purchased this plugin and am looking to display it on a more customized level. For instance, I want it on the homepage and only SOME pages–not all pages. Right now I only see the ability to display them on pages but not specify which ones. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
Yes, you have the option in the admin area to set which pages should use bgStretcher as the background. Let us know if there are any other questions on this feature.
I can’t see an admin section. I only have ‘settings’ and that area doesn’t allow such configuration.
Got it working. For some reason, that feature wasn’t showing up last night but it is now. Thanks!
Despite the box being checked, I can’t get these images to resize proportionally. The ratios change with the browser shape. Can you please help?
Please provide the URL so that we can help troubleshoot the reported issue.
pls, categories are important in order to sow up the background
Thank you for suggestion but we don’t have such functionality implemented yet. I have added it to the internal dev list, and I see it is already on the list, so this could possibly move it up in priority.
Thank you again,
Thanks for your plugin. I just installed the plugin and added a photo to be used for background.
(1) In the Settings there is an option to show the background on SELECTED pages. When I chose that option I was expecting to see a list of my site’s pages from which I can choose, or to find a new setting added to each page. ButI found neither. There is nothing about it in the documentation either. How is this meant to work ?
(2) Also, for whatever reason the plugin doesn’t seem to make any difference to my side. I don’t see anything added to my site’s HTML structure that would enable the plugin.
Her is the link of the site where I’m testing it: http://www.aspenwebsites.com/yosemite/
Is there still support for this item??
A reply was sent via email (with screenshots). In case any other users have a similar issue, after install go to settings and select the type of posts where you wish to have bgStretcher enabled. After this, in the loaded list of images, you can click an image and then select the pages for it to be displays on in the right sidebar.
If any further issues exists after the basic configuration options are set, please email us admin area access to WordPress for us to assist in troubleshooting. You can send details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our one of slide is Google calendar page.
Can we insert Google calendar in the slideshow?
Can we set the preview slide image on bottom of the page?
The slide show feature supports images only.
this might just do the trick, am using a plugin called wpgeodirectory and it uses flexslider to show images uploaded to a particular custom post type, called gd_places…. Issue i have is that the images look untidy as no matter what we tried we cannot get the images to fill the container …
would your plugin be able to achieve this if we wrapped the flexslider with your shortcode?
Please send a URL (here or via email) for us to view the issue you are trying to solve. If the images are low resolution, and you wish for them to stretch to fill the entire page, this will pixelate. BGS can’t help in this case. But again, please send a URL so that we can review it fully.
“Bg Stretcher” is exactly what I need, is that compatible with new version of Wordpress (4.3)?
Yes, it’s compatible with this version of WordPress. Please let us know if there are any other questions.
Hello, for some reason the images I select for Home Page only are also displaying for the Blog Page? Not sure why this is occurring. In my settings I have the static page set to the Home Page and the Posts set on a page called Blog. In my bgstretcher settings I have the images set to Home Page Display only and I’ve several other variations but the same images appear on both pages or not at all. Any thoughts?
Please provide the URL and WP admin information so that we can assist you in the setup to correct the reported issue. You may email this info to email@example.com.
Hello, I purchase the wordpress plugin. I use it for the home page full screen background, but on the other pages I would like to put the slideshow only in the header. How can I manage to do so ? How can I add a personnal div as target with different images ?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
This can be done via custom coding in your WordPress template for those pages. Please see our guide for the JS version of the BGS plugin (the guide should have been included in the WP version which you purchased, but you can email us for a copy, if needed). If you need assistance with the custom coding, feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In Current version . Is it possible to change the image on mouse hover of a menu item ? Thanks!
Yes, this can be done with custom modifications to the code. If you would like for us to do this for you, please email details to email@example.com.

There seems to be an issue with slides being displayed randomly, it doesn’t appear to function correctly and displays a black screen after the first slide
