I installed it and did settings in the magento admin page. How do I display your slideshow on the front? Do I create a page or cms block with ? Please let me know.
bgStretcher for Magento works automatically and displays backgrounds on all pages. If you provide your URL we can help troubleshoot the issue with you. Feel free to email us, if you prefer not to post the URL here.
An updated version containing a fix for the pagination issue was approved today by CodeCaynon. If you are a purchaser and didn’t receive it, please contact us and we will assist.
I have installed your extension on my magento page (running on a mamp local server, as a test). I cant figure out how to actually make my pictures visable (or the slideshow). In the back-end everything seems fine. I can upload pictures and edit settings. I am using the ultimo theme for the design, do i have to install your extension differently because of that?
We have replied to your email on this issue.
An new version of bgStretcher has been released! This new version adds support for multiple instances of bgStretcher on a single page, adds an option to start the slideshow paused, and adds classes to the pagination numbers so that they can be styled or changed to custom images. If you are a purchaser and didn’t receive it, or if you have any questions about these new features, please contact us and we will assist.
var bgInstance = $(element).data("instance");
The classes used for the pagination are page-1, page-2, page-3, etc…
I may be way off, but I’d be grateful for the answer here or in an email.
I tried disabling the Slideshow feature of the Ultimo theme to see if it was conflicting. It didn’t help. I still don’t see the background. I’m grateful for any help.
Thank you for your question. If possible, please email us with a link to the website where you have installed bgStretcher and we will help you troubleshoot the issue from there.
Will do. What’s your email address?
Our email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you have any plans to release a version that can be configured separately for different stores/views?
...or indeed, can this already do that?
Thank you for your question. bgStretcher for Magento does not currently have this functionality. We have passed your request to our developers so that it can be added to the next version. Please let us know if we can be of assistance in any way in the meantime.
I have questions:
-Can we set an image independant for a cms page, static block or category ? Seperately when wanted or does this option not exist ?
I think i have found the answer, there is no option to set different images for seperate categories or pages… ?
Yes, currently Magento’s extension for bgStretcher does not have this option. This is still possible with custom mods to your Magento theme and using JS version bgStretcher. We can help customizing your theme. Please contact us at email@example.com.
i manually installed this how do i unintsall it it completly broke my sight
If you email the URL + access info, we can assist in your installation. Otherwise, if you wish to remove it, you simply remove the files you uploaded and then remove the tags that were added. This will completely return your Magento to its original state.
hi, i just bought this plugin but unfortunately came across problems.
First problem, there is some conflict probably with .js files because it broke my theme (Restaurant and Hotel – Magento Responsive Theme) slider stopped working and the second problem is that no matter what i do in settings when i am trying to enable it, it doesn’t. I am pressing the enable, then save and the next thing i see is the settings screen with the plugin disabled.
Basically none of the settings is working. If i try to leave blank the Maximum Width – Height as proposed, again at the save it all comes back to the default 1024
