Can I add images from mysql? I have many images sorted in my DB and I want users to play it with some music.
Sure, you would just need to write a script to feed the path to the photos from your DB. If you would like for us to create this custom functionality, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m experiencing problems with the standalone bgStretcher v3.1.2 on Firefox 35.0. I’ll update to the latest version but I don’t think that will solve it because…
It seems you’re experiencing it too, because when I use your live preview, remove the frame and use the navigation version there are the same randomly cut-off images revealing the black background behind.
I noticed it about a week ago, which coincides with the release of Firefox 35.0.
We are applying changes to the script and testing in it in the mentioned browser. We will upload an updated version to address and fix this issue soon. The new version will be available in your dashboard and you should receive an email notification when it is approved by Code Canyon.
I love this product… using on a few sites but I’m also experiencing problems with the standalone bgStretcher v2 & the latest version also on Firefox 35.0.
Some of the background images do not load properly, and either have cut-off images revealing the black background behind the lower portion of the image, or the image is pixelated badly. It’s fairly random but happens on every page.
preloadImage makes no difference.
Only happened in the last few weeks, but is bad enough that it’s stopping me from launching sites.
Any ideas for a fix?
Hi there. I’m having the same issues mentioned by others with the latest version of Firefox. I downloaded a previous version in 2012, which I believe was a freebie at the time. The website I used it in still works fine in Firefox. Would there be any harm in rebuilding my broken site using the scripts, etc., from 2012? Thanks.
Are you still experiencing the reported issues? The recently mentioned issues are solved by using the preloadImages option, which will have the script preload all the images in the slide show and will prevent the “effect” that has been reported. Other users have confirmed this via email with us. Please let us know if this has solved your problem as well. If further troubleshooting is required please provide us with the URL here, or via an email to email@example.com so that we can further assist.
Thanks, but I couldn’t wait any longer so I rebuilt my site using the 2012 version. It had the preload images option and is working fine.
Thank you for the update. I have passed this information to the development team for review regarding version updates.
You’re welcome, and thank you!
Thanks for the plugin. Works well.
I noticed, however, that when a user views the site on mobile and scrolls downward (particularly, on iPhones), the background image doesn’t fill the bottom of the screen when the bottom browser interface bar disappears. This leaves about 10% of the screen that isn’t covered by the stretched background image – and it doesn’t look great.
Any suggestions for a fix?
Thank you for your patience while we worked to re-create and confirm this issue. We will release an update to correct this problem. You will receive notification from your envato account once the new version is available for download.
Thank you again,
Hi there, has the update been issued? Many thanks!
Thank you for your patience. Our lead developer indicates the release date is planned for the end of this week or early next week.

The problem seems to be with your server configuration and the size of the file you’re trying to upload. Please confirm what your current limit on file upload size is and the size of the file you’re trying to upload. bgStretcher jQuery Background Resizer & Slideshow
Does this keep the images aspect ratio?
Yes, the script will keep the image aspect ration intact. Let us know if there are any other questions.
I have just checked out this link – http://www.w3blender.com/codecanyon/bgstretcher/simple-inside-div.html
And when you scale the browser window, it does not seem to keep the aspect ratio?
Full screen you can see the clouds, but when you scale down you see the rest of the image, sand and hills?
Let me know if I have got this wrong?
It is possible you have viewed the wrong link. Please seethe example at this page:
Click the “Toggle Resize Mode” button to view the difference. Note, that by default bgStretcher resizes images proportionally as well.
Hi, is there any solution to fix the full screen image on mobile devices? On iPhone for example is white space on bottom when scrolling down… hope you can help me…
Initially bgStretcher was not developed to work on mobile devices, but the latest version has been tested and shows that it is actually fully adapted to display properly in Android and iPhone devices. The issue you reported may exist because of your other custom CSS which could be adding white space at the bottom. Can you confirm that this problem exists for you when you initialize bgStretcher in separate blank HTML file? Please let us know and we will continue to assist in troubleshooting the issue.
Is there a way to display text only when one of the background appears?
Thanks in advance,
Yes, there is a way to do this. However, this requires some custom programming work. Please see ‘sliderCallbackFunc’ parameter in the documentation. I.e. you can call your function (which can display text or do anything else) when specific slide appears.
If you would like for us to implement this custom functionality, please contact us at email@example.com.
Hello, following up to friedenstaucher & ryanfred comments above. They are correct, on iPads and iPhones when the user scrolls down, the background image does not fill the bottom of the screen when the bottom browser interface bar disappears. This leaves a gap at the bottom of the page which the BG image does not cover. Above you asked to confirm it wasn’t custom CSS, and it not. I downloaded the latest release, 3.3.0 to see if the issue is resolved and it is not. To see what we’re talking about and to confirm the issue we’re having, you can use the latest BG Stretcher 3 index.html demo file and add extra paragraphs of text to make page scroll and test on an iPad, you will see the issue we are having. If you could please follow up with this. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. The latest version provides a solution for the reported problem. Please test it and let us know if there are any other issues. If there are, please provide the latest URL which we can review the issue. If you prefer, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
why there is not jest regullar plugin to install?
i dont know how to setup your plugin that i bought…
Which CMS are you attempting to install our background image stretcher? Is it possible that you are attempting to install the ‘stand-alone’ version? Please note that we have a WordPress and Magento version as well. If there are any issues, you can reach us at email@example.com or on our live chat tool during EST (GMT-5) business hours of 9AM to 5PM.

thank you in advance.
Did you purchase the WP plugin version or the JS version?
w3Blender Support Team
I think I purchased the JS version by mistake. ...
If you need the script to work with WP, you would need to buy the appropriate version that works with WP. If you request to Code Canyon for a refund,. we will not dispute it. Please let me know if there are any other questions.
It is very kind of you that you do not dispute a refund. I want it to be refunded because I am still lack of knowledge about the script. What do I have to do to be refunded?
You would need to ask Code Canyon for your options regarding this request. Please note though that you originally purchased the version of our script which is a stand-alone JS version, while there is a version available specifically to function as a WordPress Plugin. You should state this clearly to them, so they understand that you intended to purchase the WP plugin version. Again, any refund requests should be directed to Code Canyon directly, as we are unable to access or process those types of requests.
Please let us know if there are any further technical questions though.
What is the best way of overlaying text which can be styled on a bgstretcher image?
This can be done via custom modifications to the script (or within your own code). Please let us know if you would like assistance with this customization. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for inquiries.
How do you make the images responsive to different screen sizes? I have tried changing the imageWidth to 100% which works on the image but leaves a black space below the image as the screen size reduces. I have change both the imageHeight values (100%, auto) but this does not work or changing the .bgstretcher values for width and height.
Can you help.
As you have not responded to my question I left a week ago I will have another try to see if I can get a response.
Below is the code relating to the images I have embedded within a div in my site and I have tried various width and height values in both the jquery and css.. Unless I use the 100% imageWidth value the image does not scale down for smaller screen sizes (a pixel value equal to the image width just cuts off the image) but it then leaves a black section (from the bgstretcher class) below the image.
As it is important these days that images are responsive I would again ask you for some help.
