Hi,

This domain name northernoptic.com expired on 3/20/2014 and is pending renewal or deletion.

Demo not available.

Apologies, we were transferring the domain to a new host. Should be back online now.

how is this different from s3cmd?

It does not require shell access or mysqldump and works purely with PHP, nothing else required.

Hi

What if I don’t want to backup a single database, but all databases on my mysql server using this script – how can I do that?

This script currently does not support that out of the box. If you are familiar with PHP you can easily iterate through all the databases after passing them to an array, after executing the “SHOW DATABASES;” query, then just run the SQL2S3 function in the backup.php file on all of them. Let me know if you need a coded example on how to do this.

Hi I have bought this script and it is working terrific. But is it possible to specify a foler on S3 bucket where to store the backup?

Hi; thank you very much. Yes, that can be done quite easily, open backup.php and online line 22 you will see: date("Y-m-d H:i:s").'.sql' Change this to: 'foldername/'.date("Y-m-d H:i:s").'.sql' Replace foldername with the name of the folder.

Plugin works fine, I’m satisfied. If you’d like to automatically let the backup files be removed after x days, you can set that up in the AWS control panel in the properties of the bucket under ‘lifecycle management’.

An update for splitting sql files would be great though, as this script probably would timeout if the DB gets too big.

Hi; thanks for your purchase. I’ll definitely take a look into that. Let me know if you need any help with this script.

I am considering buying this script (I gotta use up some Envato funds that are due to expire). Can you consider adding the ability to specify the database settings via a file that is specified on the command line. This way I can backup multiple databases without having to make multiple copies of your script. If you update the script then I would only need to update one file.

I might buy the script and submit a patch to you.

hello, does this just back up to zip or can i view the data in my aws db instance?

can you update this to pdo rather than mysqli and you probably need to mention in your description that it is mysqli. IT WORKS!!!, but just wish it were pdo.

Hi, anyone available for assistance? Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message

Hi Bill

Is this not working at all? We have used this script, but have Switced to Backup Bird that is a hosted free solution.

See https://www.backupbird.com/
