WordPress uses XML -RPC API and that is not very easy to use with this class. This class is more for REST API ’s
This is definitely an awesome class!!
Quick question before purchase:
Do you have an example for iTunes API to read music, books, apps info and post info back to iTunes.
Thanks in advance,
Thanks, no I don’t have a example for iTunes but there are lot’s of other examples included.
any example of posting to wordpress, instead of just getting posts?
WordPress API uses SOAP while this API clients works best with REST API ’s. In your case it’s better to search for a PHP SOAP client library.
Does this script work with Wufoo forms? I am not very familiar with API ’s but am trying to generate an xml file from data collected from wufoo forms. Here is a link that explains more: http://www.wufoo.com/docs/api/v3/
Let me know if your script will accomplish this. Thanks in advance.
That API will work prefectly in combination with my API class.
I am wanting to use a api as a message tool.
use this to create a message for client who has a token.
If message_token == client token then user will get message on their website until message is deleted my end.
would your class be suitable for this?
I don’t really understand your question.
This class is just to communicate with REST API ’s. If you have a REST API then probably you can use this script to communicate with it.
Hi, i just wonder if it contains the framework also?
My API client has run without problems for a long time but suddenly I cannot make calls on my server anymore. I think it could be the server but not sure what is wrong. CURL , JSON etc. are all there.
It drives me nuts. The errors are from the API client on line 457 and it seems to be CURL . However, CURL has and is working right now.
The error is “Problem reading data”.
The api client is missing the option to “follow location”, e.g.:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true);
Thanks for your work in making this script.
They make it look pretty simple, but I need some help making it work with your script. Thanks for any help you can offer.
I asked for help way too soon. I got it! Thanks for the great script!
Is it possible to call (“request”) a service that is running on the same domain as the caller? I’m having errors with this.
This Author is no longer around.
Okay here is a scenario that I have right now..
I want to upload a video though FTP to my webserver as Youtube is slow where I am and I have a faster connection to my VPS. Then from my vps I want to beable to use a script that will allow my VPS to connect to youtube with Youtube’s API which would then upload that video from my server to youtube. Is that possible ?
I have to send bulk data from my server using this client API.
But i am not able to send more than 4100 characters on client api url call.
$Client->request(‘my URL’, ApiClient::CONTENT_JSON);
In above line my URL values more that 4100 characters means
i got the following error message :
’ Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Problem reading data from my URL’
Any solution for this ?
Let’s say, I want to build a website, that search video from 3 website using different API’s, can I use this script to do that? Can use this script as a wrapper?
I want to search video “chicken” from youtube, vimeo, dailymotion, so the result will be list on my website.
For couple of months everything was running smoothly. Now I am getting errors on API client on line 457 “Backend fatal error: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Problem reading data”
It is similar to bluedude and it seems to be CURL. Any idea how you (bluedude) resolved it. It is driving me insane as well. Please help.
To debug the error, I started with a clean slate without using ApiClient.php
$ch = curl_init( $url );
// Configuring curl options
$options = array(
CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => true,
CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER => array(‘Content-type: application/json’)
// Setting curl options
curl_setopt_array( $ch, $options );
// Getting results
$data = curl_exec($ch); // Getting jSON result string
$result = json_decode($data, TRUE);
I found the exact error message rather than “Backend fatal error: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Problem reading data”” and fixed the issue.
Then went back to my code with ApiClient.php and it is all working now.
