A few questions:

(1) How to change the font?

(2) How to add new categories?

Hello,

1) It’s not a trivial task. There are several ways to achieve it but it depends heavily on the specific implementation. Here is tutorial but if you don’t have experience you won’t be able to do it yourself: http://www.101apps.co.za/index.php/articles/using-custom-fonts-in-your-android-apps.html

2) It depends. If you enter in the future a duplicated ID, you would have problems.

Thanks for your reply. Just FYI.

(1) To change font to Verdana, add verdana.ttf fonts to assets folder, then open app\utils\CommonUtils.java, line 84 & 96, change Roboro.ttf to be Verdana.ttf. No need to modify whole structure,

(2) I have 100 items, it is ok to use unique but non-subsequent IDs. Like <RecipeInfo id=”1010010”><RecipeInfo id=”1010020”>...<RecipeInfo id=”1020010”> .... 1AABBBC, AA represents category, BBB represents items in category, C represent a new item in case you need to insert to existing category at later time.

Hello,

1) Thanks for sharing this. Other user will benefit :)

2) Yes, as long as you keep the IDs unique, everything should be fine.

How to set the main category list as all in two-column? I don’t want the very top one (main course) with big picture, how to disable it?

Hello,

The MainScreenFragment.java is the class that is responsible for the Home screen. There you will see that we append the list_header_main.xml layout to the top of the list through the mHeaderView variable.

Possible workaround is to have a dummy first category in the XML and to hide the displaying (appending) of the mHeaderView in the MainScreenFragment.java

What is the back end used in this Android Recipe App? Is it compatible with WordPress and sqlite back end? Is it easily customizable? What all things you will provide with this buy, apart from Source Code? Will you provide, in which format the data is stored in your back end as well? Does internet require for this app or its using local database?

One more question, is it Android Studio compatible?

Hello,

1) Nowhere is stated that there is a backed. Please read carefully the product’s description in order to understand how the app is structured and what features it has.

2) There is a documentation which will provide the basics to set it up. I can’t say whether it’s easy or not. It depends on a lot of factors.

3) You are buying the source code – I guess it’s clear enough.

4) No backed at all. Please check (1)

5) There is no database. Please read the product’s description… you have the option to use either local or web hosted XML file. If you use local one, the app won’t need internet.

6) It’s clearly stated that it’s Android Studio project.
