Brought this plugin thinking it would work but there is a lot of things wrong.
I set it for 7 days but the ad check plugin reads it for 7 clicks. It probably does work for 7 days anyways but people buying the ads would actually think they are buying 7 clicks.
Also the page seems to EXTEND a REALLY EXTENSIVE AMMOUNT after the proceed button.
Okay the extensive length of the page has fixed itself but the main problem still remains which is
If Admin set ad campaign to “duration”
It shows as “clicks” on Advanced Checkout
Yes, I see this issue and fixed it (will upload the patched version soon). If you want the new version now, open a ticket here: http://wpadpress.com/support and I’ll submit it to you.
The new update is approved now.
Thanks Abid you’re awesome and fast! I ask that when you do your next release please change the term “duration” to “days” so it is easier for people to understand. This will do for now though, thanks again, this should prompt people to use the plugin now haha!
Thanks. Fixed again and update submitted. (should be approved in a few hours). We are working on improving our products, so any suggestions are welcome
Im looking module like this but with prestashop.
let me know if any update
You can use a combination of AdPress + Power Ad + Advanced Checkout. You’ll need to setup a WordPress blog solely to run AdPress and then with Power Ad, you can place Ads on your Prestashop website.
Is there an easy way of implementing a front-end form for the purchasing of the advertisements? Trying to limit access to WP backend for clients.
Are you having problems setting up the add-on? This add-on should be doing exactly what you are looking for.
If you are having issues open a support ticket here: http://wpadpress.com/support
So I have two campaigns, if I have no more spots, when someone goes to Checkout page, they would see this: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0624cl3o49
Any way to make this show null or No campaigns available?
This is definitively a bug. Will be pushing a fix for it asap.
When can we expect a fix? Just trying to give a client an ETA. Thank you! Great product besides that.
Sorry for overlooking this. Will push a fix this weekend.
Updated pushed. Please update and let me know.
This works great. I have another question/issue. I’m wondering if there is a way when we run an image advertisement campaign, the user submits a URL of the image, the issue with that is its not uploaded to the site, so the potential advertiser could then replace that image with ANYTHING they want. That is a huge liability.
Good point. I thought about allowing the user to upload their image, but in this case they can upload a malicious script and run it on the server. Another solution, is to be able to edit the Ad (from the Admin user) and then you can upload/change the image to your server.
I’m looking to add that functionality soon to AdPress core. Let me know what you think.
I think that functionality would be great to edit the advertisement from the backend, as this would allow for fixes to the URL in case the user misspelled something.
I would say, a functionality to upload the submitted image URL and then one to upload a new image if needed.
I was looking in the database to see how the ads were saved, if they are a post type we could easily update this with the function http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/media_sideload_image
We are looking into moving to custom post types. AdPress is quite old and some parts of the code base will benefit from a re-write. So the function you mentioned will come real handy.
I’ll let you know of any progress on this.
I currently have my ads priced per-day. Is there a way this plugin can allow the advertiser to select the number of days they want to purchase the ad for?
No this is not possible.
How can I translate this plugin compeletely (ad details, buttons, headers etc.), not only the 4 fields available in the backend settings?
Answered you through email.
I am considering this purchase as well as the ad press main plugin, but before I do, does this plugin (advanced checkout) allow the user who is going to purchase the ad space show the wordpress backend style of the checkout page? Meaning during the advertisers checkout process does it work from the wordpress backend, or is that removed with the use of this advanced checkout plugin?
Yes, both will be available after you activate Advanced Checkout.
Let me know if you have other questions.
Just to confirm your answer, I will be able to remove the WordPress checkout style if I wanted with the advanced checkout plugin, correct?
Also, do you have a geo targeting location plugin? Basically, to allow the advertiser to select location for the campaign / zone. Its not too important as I have a work around if not available.
Advanced Checkout doesn’t remove the WordPress back-end checkout, but it’s possible to disable it from the AdPress settings.
We are working on a geo-location plugin, but have no ETA yet for that.
I have disabled the option to do Manual Payment on checkout in the settings as I only want people to use Paypal, but on the front end checkout page, it is still listed as an option. How can I remove this?
Sorry for the late reply, I was unable to connect in the last week.
Please send me an email at contact (at) omarabid.com along with the login detains for your blog.
finally I got this Add-on, how can I make a page where the users could make their own banners, paying and configuring these banners? Connecting with the Adpress plugin.
I saw you signed and make a ticket in the support system. Please keep the discussion in a single place and the ticket system is best.
one question can the ad buyer upload an image vs just copying an image link?
Uploading an image is not possible right now. But we are looking it to implement it in a future version.
Regards, Abid Omar
Thanks… one more question. Is it possible in the future with an addon made to geotarget ads accoring to IP?
Yes, Geotargeting is high on our list.
I have used this plugin and stripe payment add on ., But here i have found 3 issues
1) http://dev.shaytell.com/ad-purchase-checkout/ here the validation js is not including in the plugin which is causing the issue
2) http://dev.shaytell.com/ad-purchase-checkout/ here the validation js after checking all validation it returns true so page is redirected and stripe json array is printed on page.. so i have check for payment and set return false..
3) http://dev.shaytell.com/ad-purchase-checkout/ here as stripe payment popup opens the proceed or submit button is disabled but if by mistake the stripe popup is closed then proceed or submit button is not enabled back..
So please check for all 3 issues and update me back ASAP,
