Hi. I’m trying to install your plugin.
What is the reason?
Thank you for writing in.
There might be some CSS conflict with your active theme due to which the issue may be occurring.
Can you please send us your site wp-admin login details using the form in the below link so that we can do our necessary debugging?
yes, just sent. thank you
We have done the debugging and replied back with the solution in the same email.
The Twitter account is: https://twitter.com/unplugged_room
And all videos from YouTube have a picture!
What can I do to make sure that these are also displayed in the slider and feed?
I’ve tried everything possible.
Currently, Twitter API doesn’t provide video link as media due to which feeds is unable to display the videos.
No matter what I’m trying to do, there are no YouTube images displayed, so you can’t see them on the Twitter.
Feed only from test: https://unplugged-wohnzimmer.de/twitter-test-seite/
Is there anything you can do or what do I need?
Greetings from Berlin
Our plugin displays the images which twitter itself send as the media image through the API.
And twitter considers images as media images that are directly uploaded in twitter but not images fetched from the URL shared or youtube images due to which it is not currently possible to display the youtube images.
Yes, twitter itself fetches the image but doesn’t send in the API as the media image due to which our plugin is not being able to display in the feed.
Since it’s the limitation set by Twitter so we are also bounded by its limitation. But if Twitter API starts sending the youtube image as the media image in near future then we will surely implement in our plugin.
If you have a Twitter account, can’t you work with it and get to the pictures? I was thinking about making a hardcopy of Twitter Stream: -) Thanks.
We are doing the same but we can access only the parameters that are provided by Twitter API.
Is there a way please to resize the image that is returned in the twitter feed widget. Currently it shows the full image but I would prefer either ideally a cropped or alternatively a resized thumbnail.
Thank you for writing in. Currently, cropping is not possible because the image is fetched from twitter server. But you can resize it using the option available in our plugin’s setting. Please check below screenshot.
The tweet design is not showing up properly on my site. Layout 6 is showing up with a transparent background instead of solid white. Also, on layouts 5 and 9, the username is cutting off at the bottom.
Thank you for writing in. That might be occurring due to some CSS conflict with your active theme. So can you please provide us the URL of the page where you have used our feed? We will inspect and provide some custom CSS code to resolve the conflict.
The site is Tink and Drink. The twitter widget is located at the bottom left of the footer.
We checked but it seems you are using layout 6. So can you please share us the URL where the feed will have layouts which have CSS conflicts.
You can generate the same feed with different templates by passing the template parameter in the shortcode.
I don’t understand what you would like for me to do. I would like for the Twitter feed to have a white background using layout 6. Are you saying that my site can’t use layout 6?
Sorry, you got us wrong. We meant to check the issue with layout 5 and 9 that’s why we requested you to generate the feed using those templates too.
Anyways, please add below CSS code in your theme’s style.css file to make the background solid white instead of the transparent background.
Didn’t our provided custom CSS work for you? The transparent background is actually not the bug but we had kept so to match the background with any section where you will keep our widget.
We would be really happy to help you if you still need any assistance. Please let us know.
Our slider stops sliding on the last slide and the top of a second tweet appears underneath the final slide. How can we fix this?
Also I was wondering whether there’s a way to increase the speed at which the twitter slider rotates.
Can you please provide us the URL of the page where you have used our widget?
Its at the bottom of the page.
We are not being able to replicate the issue on our development server so can you please send us your site temporary admin login details using the private form available in the below link so that we could check directly on your site?
I’ve sent you login details hope you got that OK.
We will check and get back to you shortly.
Looks like its working for us now, thank you very much for your help
That’s great!! If you really liked our plugin then please give us a rating from below link
Unfortunately the same problem has begun to crop up again.
May you take a look at this please?
We have already communicated through email.
Hey there – I love the plugin, is there any way to fix it so the plugin loading doesnt block CSS resources? Getting killed for it in pagespeed insights.
Your page has 1 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
The above the fold content cannot be controlled by our plugin.
You can use below plugin to prevent above the fold content from loading which shall solve your problem.
