Hi there,

Pre-sale question: Are you able to design a form so that it asks for the user’s name and contact information but can choose that it won’t get published in the blog post once it’s been reviewed by an administrator and published?

Thank you! Clare

Hello Clare,

Thank you for writing in. We are not fully clear regarding your query but yes our plugin can be used to submit the post and user won’t need to log in and you can add the fields to receive author information and also administrator can review the submission before publishing it.

Thanks.

Hi,

For example: our site is a non-profit site where we want users to post items they want to donate to the community for free. We want them to share their name and contact information but we don’t want this information posted online, since our organization will then match the donor with the person interested in the item.

So we are looking for a form that will allow the user to share their contact information but have this information only available for the website admin. Does that make sense?

Thanks!

Hello Clare,

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, this is available.

Thanks.

Hello There,

The upload image feature allow users to upload, and the uploaded image become Featured Image in wordpress post.

Is it possible that we can make it in such a way that once the image uploaded, it appear in the post itself, below the post content?

Thanks much! Raymond

Hello Raymond,

Thank you for writing in.

Featured image will show up where your active’s theme’s layout has designed which is not much of our plugin’s control.

But if you add a file uploader in the form with the image file type selected, then our plugin has the option to display the image just below the content using the “Frontend Display” option.

Please go through the below documentation for easy reference.

Hello There again,

Is it possible to inherit the author name from the frontend form, and once the post published, the author name appear in the post itself, instead of the default wordpress admin author name?

Thanks again! Raymond

Hello Raymond,

If the post is submitted anonymously, the author details received from the form are just for reference of the admin and registered author will be the author selected at the “Assign Author” dropdown.

Because, for adding a post in WordPress, it requires an original registered author. If posts are submitted by logging in then the logged in user can be assigned as the author of the post.

If you want to display the author received from our plugin’s form then you can use below PHP code in your active theme’s post detail template usually single.php where the Original author is being displayed.

<?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(),'ap_author_name',true);?>

Thanks

Hello! I have bought your plugin because one of the things I need is an image preview for uploaded image. I can read “image preview added for file uploader” but I can’t see a preview.. is it not working?

Hello there,

Thank you for writing in.

Have you added an image file uploader through custom fields? Please follow below documentation to add one which will show the image with preview.

Hi, I have a little problem with the Accesspress Anonymous Post Pro plugin. All posted posts go into the category “uncategorized” and not into the selected one from the form settings. What could be wrong? Thanks.

Best wishes Sven

Hello,

Can you please check the slug of the uncategorized category? The slug should read uncategorized like below screenshot.

http://i.imgur.com/mk3wdaA.png

We have explicitly removed uncategorized category from the post after the post submission because it is by default assigned by WordPress itself. So, if the slug is different than uncategorized then it may be assigned. Please check and let us know.

Thanks

Yeah, I’m German and use the German version of WordPress and there the uncategorized category is named “Allgemein” and the slug “allgemein”. That’s the default category in the German version of WordPress.

Hey guys, I was just thinking… Let’s say a logged-in user submits a post through the form. Do you suppose that an option (checkbox would be nice) to send him email notifications for new comments made to his post could be added?

Hello there,

Thank you for writing in.

We assume that is already provided by WordPress itself for sending the email to the Author as soon as the comment is placed.

Can you please check discussion section of the WordPress Settings menu?

Thanks.

Alright, thank you.

Alright, thank you.

Hello There,

Good day!

There is one column in the front end form “Email”.

May I know where can I retrieve the list of email address for users that submitted post before?

Thank you!

Hello there,

Thank you for writing in.

Do you mean the email address of the post submitter? If yes, then that can be viewed under the custom field section of that specific post with the meta key ‘ap_author_email’.

Please go through the documentation for easy reference.
