Purchased it. Great plugin…does exactly what it says it does.

Now looking at the other 5sec plugins. I like the concept!

Thank you for purchasing!

Wow, the support is great. I had some questions about the different types of QR codes and how to achieve certain behaviors in QR readers. My questions were answered almost instantly. You don’t usually get support that fast on any plugin, especially such an affordable one. Excellent purchase.

1) Does this plugin allow the QR Codes that are generated to be AUTOMATICALLY placed onto ANY page of a WP site?

2) What is the difference between this plugin and a stand-alone one? Is there an advantage?

3) Couldn’t we just add a QR code that is produced from the standalone, and then copy and paste it into the WP Site?

4) Will this allow us to post QR Codes next to images of products? We were thinking of creating a page dedicated to promoting products and services for visitors to our website. Is this possible?

5) Can different QR codes be placed onto RANDOM pages and sidebars from the admin panel? In other words, can we randomly place any, QR codes onto any page that we choose?

6) How are QR Codes removed in the event of a swap-out or change to a newer one?

1) if you alter your page/post template – yes

2) and 3) – we only have one QR product so can’t really answer that

4) sure, you can put the QR code anywhere you like

5) you can place them anywhere you want but any kind of “randomization” will require writing custom code

6) simply delete the code (shortcode) or replace it

Hiya, I would like to use the plugin as a coupon voucher so that users can print out the coupon from a website and I can scan it on a mobile phone but i am not sure whether i need an custom app for that? so that the app can check whether the coupon has expired or not or it has already been remitted…

Can you please point me in the right direction

Hi; yes you need a custom WP plugin for that. Once that will keep track of all generated coupons. Unfortunately I don’t know any such plugin to recommend.

Just purchased, question – I’m currently using this in a Buddypress profile loop page. I would like a qr code generated that when scanned leads to that users profile URL . Currently using the {post/permalink} snippet directs to a members archive. How to I redirect to a user profile?

Hi, thank you for purchasing.

Please contact our support via email with your site details (URL, WP username/password). We can’t provide support via comments.

where is the support forum?

Hi, thank you for purchasing.

There is no support forum. Please contact our support via email.

Hi there is it possible to get the QR code to appear only when read by certain types of readers and circumstances (Desktop + specific screen size / Print version of an article etc.) ?

Hi, there’s no such functionality built into the plugin but it probably could be achieved by combining it with another plugin to control the visibility.

Thanks for the update. The first requirement was to have it appear for a print version as the articles to be printed are often stripped of the URL so I guess that could just be achieved by declaring the QRcode to only be visible via a CSS class that is only visible on the print version of the page. Does that seem feasible from your knowledge of how the plug-in works?

Yes, using CSS to show the QR image only in certain situations is definitely the way to go.

Hey there, before I buy, I would like to know if this would work this way:

I have a footer (not widgetized, just HTML/PHP) and I would like to have a QR code of the url the user is currently on shown there. How hard would it be to accomplish that with this plugin? Could you give me some small guidance how to get it working this way?

Upon your comfirmation, I purchase this plugin immediately.

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

If you know a bit of PHP and WP you can easily do that but our support will not be able to assist you with any customization.

I have purchased the plugin. Wouldn’t you be able to help me for a price?

Hi, thank you for purchasing.

Please contact our support via email.

Is this plugin able to add QR codes that – when scanned – adds a simple v-card info to the mobile device? I know I can graphically generate these, but your plugins are so slick (love the 5-sec content scroller) this would save lots of time.

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items and those kind words!

Unfortunately no, it doesn’t support the v-card format. You can see examples here that allow you to put a phone # for instance – http://5sec-qrcodes.webfactoryltd.com/documentation

Hi I’m wanting to make a link using this the qr code. I currently have to put the short code on each page. Is there a way I can put it in the php page template for every page? using the short code wont work. Thankyou

Hi thank you for purchasing!

Hi. I’m looking to create a solution for a custom post type; Consultants. Essentially, I want to be able to (in the single-consultants.php) either use the do_shortcode() function to inject the QR code shortcode. With it, I’d like to assign parameters that I get from various custom fields, such as phone number etc, and have the QR code generate a vCard from that. Is this possible with this plugin? I see earlier comments stating that vCard isn’t supported, but those are old – I’m hoping support for that has been added?

Essentially, I’d like to do something like this:

if ($phone) {
  echo do_shortcode('[qrcode website="' . $linkedin . 'phone="' . $phone . '" email="' . $email . '"]');

I could also use the get_qrcode() obviously since that’s included. The function is pretty irrelevant, as long as I can auto-generate the QR code and have it make a vCard based on custom fields, that’s fine.

I hope I explained that well enough :)

HI, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

You can do everything you wrote, code wise, but vCard is not supported. Sorry.

Hi, looks really good! If I drop it in the footer as a text widget with {post->permalink}, will it always catch the corresponding page’s link? What about home, archive or search pages?

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

No, unfortunately that won’t work for home or similar pages. You’d have to write a bit of PHP and do a do_shortcode([qrcode …]) in the widget. Something like this should always work: global $wp; $current_url = add_query_arg( $wp->query_string, '', home_url( $wp->request ) );

Hi, nice job! I want to buy but I have a pre sale question. How do I check who has accessed my page through the qr code? Because my page can be accessed in other ways.

Measurement is very important to me. Sorry for the bad english.

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

You can track people who came via QR by adding campaign tracking params to the URL in QR code and then view the stats in Google Analytics. There are plenty tutorials on how to do it, just google it.

Hi sir, I hope everything is good with you. Please, How can i create QR code for each time i want to print it,with a counter to decide it how many times i can print the Qr code for a product. Can i do that with your plugin? Regards A.J.

How much is cost if i want that ? please

Sorry, we can’t help you with that project.

Wondering about compatibility with current WordPress version and if it would work with the current Woo-commerce version? Thanks,

Hi, Thanks for taking an interest in our items!

The plugin is compatible with the latest version of WordPress. You shouldn’t have any problems with the latest WooCommerce as well :)

Hello WebFactorySupport,

this is a pre-sale question:

  • do the plugin files (js/css) only load on the page the QR code is present?

Thank you in advance!

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

No extra JS or CSS files are loaded ever. Regardless if QR is shown or not.

hi, on custom post type pages, can we use one basic shortcode that will return the url of that page? (that post type page generates 1000’s of profile pages and each profile/page should get its QR code with url generated automatically. Thanks!

Hi, thank you for taking an interest in our items!

Sure, you can easily do that – http://5sec-qrcodes.webfactoryltd.com/documentation/#pp

ok bought it. PS you have an error in description after activating plugin: Just QR codes! In 5 sec! Usage: [qrcode]my txt[/gmap] see? ;)

Thanks for purchasing! If you have any further questions, please contact our support team directly via email.

Thank you for notifying us; we will fix that! :)

I need to automatically add a QR code a custom type post (another plugin for file management). Can I simply inject the shortcode via PHP, adding it in the page template for that plugin, right?

Plus, my client would like to print this QR code to share it with coworkers. Is that something that your plugin can do?

Hi, Thank you for taking an interest in 5sec QR Codes!

Sure, you can do that. There are also two PHP functions available to be used in any template files.

Unfortunately, there’s no option that will let you print the codes.
