Hi. Why do I only have thumbs up? This must be a bug, eh?

http://www.voksenadhd.dk/brevkasse/test-ppaa-hvordan-det-virker-det/

Hi Peter,

Please download latest version.

Thanks.

Ah ok, I thought I had done that, but obviously something must have gone wrong…

PS, I cannot upload my own custom icons? Only those from the list?

Cheers

Everything is working fine in my demo site and I can upload icon for like and dislike button.

Thanks.

Hi again.

1. More people have asked for no effect on hover (on the one-spinner). Would that be possible?

2. I would like to add a button with “Add Question”. You should make a short-code for this.

3. I still cannot translated Featured, Recent and the third one. I believe this should have been sorted by now?

4. It would be cool if you could offer a short-code for latest question. For use in titles, banners etc.

5. I still cant see where to upload the category-icons?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your message. Please send me your next messages via my profile page. So, that I can reply you quickly :)

1. Yes, it’s possible. Go to Plugin option panel>Knowledege Base Page>KB List Style Type and select “None”.

2. Check this - http://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/bkbm/doc/#howToUseShortcode

3. Download latest version.

4. Will think about it.

5. Download latest version.

Thanks.

This may be a stupid question, but posts within this knowledge base remain anonymous. Further, can each post require approval via admin prior to posting?

We were going to use a traditional forum for our users, however our lawyers have said that there is too much liability due to the potential for anti-trust behaviour..

Thanks for your question.

- Yes, all question those has been submitted from front-end require admin approval before publishing in your site.

Let me know, If you need more info.

Thanks.

Sorry for my stupid question but I do not find the Knowledge Base Option Panel, what should be its URL? (http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/??)

Please send me your admin panel info via my profile page. I’ll check and let you know soon.

Thanks.

I just purchased this plugin and it ate up all of my memory and locked up the wp-admin. My front end was working fine but it broke my admin. Has anyone else experienced this? Thoughts?

Please send me your admin panel info via my profile page. I”ll check and let you know soon.

Thanks.

+ also the Localization dont seem to work. It is saved in backend, but in the lang-folder were only found some English-files which I have now changed to Danish.

I did create MO-file from the location-plugin

Cheers

Peter

PS, it also displayed following error:

Warning: The actual loaded translation content contains mixed textdomains and is not pure translateable within one textdomain. It seems, that there is code contained extracted out of other plugins, themes or widgets and used by copy & paste inside some source files. The affected unknown textdomains are: cmb, bwl-kbm, apc

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your message.

1. For translation.you can check this- http://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/bkbm/knowledegebase/i-have-upload-po-mo-files-it-but-doesnt-work-why/

2. My plugin textdomain is “bwl-kbm”. Ignore that warning message. Plugin uses option panel and custom meta box framework which contain some default translation texts. Plugin does not display those default texts in your KB option panel.

Thanks.

Whoops, also you missed the top 3 translations (Recent posts, Featured Posts and Popular from the localization. I also need to translate those.

Question Title, Add a knowledge base question, Category, Captcha, Verify… Submit, ... also needs translations

All in English on this page is not accessible in Localization

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your feedback. I’ve added those translation text in new update.

Please send your next questions/feedbacks via my profile page http://codecanyon.net/user/xenioushk

So that, I can reply you quickly :)

Thanks.

Suggestion: I think you should also enable it to work with Visual Composer. That would be cool.

Thanks for your suggestion, Will think about it.

Also, for next update, is it not possible to create an option for “ALL CATEGORIES?”. Your shortcode inserts name of all the categories, instead of dynamically upload the titles? This should definately be an option, if you ask me.

Thanks for your suggestion, Will think about it.

Hi mate

I ended up buying your plug-in, but Im having a few startup problems:

1. When saving permanent links to display /”Titles”, it displays the native blog-layout and not your layout. 2. When chosing “standard” or “custom” permalinks, I only get the page ID in the URL, but in favour your KB is now showing.

How to solve this?

3. I cannot find ANYWHERE to change the icons for each category?

4. Currently ALL categories are displayed. But I wanted to only display a max of 6 main-categories on the overview-page, and then e.g. display the subcategories underneath. Or “view all” or something like that. Is that not possible to achieve at all?

5. I made the mistake to believe I could create a landing-page for a specific category. I asked if I could insert only a specific category on a page. However, I realised that this will ofcourse not affect the category-structure of your plug-in. Is it possible that you can create a URL-redirect input, so that I can create my very own landingpages for each category (with own banners etc).

Lastly nr .6: Your plug-in automatically inserts the default page sidebar. But I wanted a different sidebar used for your plugin. Any chance you can help me out on that one also?

Thank you very mcuh

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your message.

1. Create a new page and add shortcode to get demo like layout.

2. I can see custom permalink when click on link.

3. Yes, that is 1.0.4 version improvement. I’m working on it now. Will release this version in next Monday. Then you can change categories/topics icon. If you want to get that version you can send me a message via my profile page. I’ll send you plugin file.

4. Sorry, that not possible.

5. It’s very simple. Create a new page then using shortcode you can display on categories post in that page.

Plugin uses your category.php/archive.php page to display categories content. So you can create a copy of that file and then rename it to category-bwl_kb.php. Customize that page code according to your need.

6. That required your theme support. You can create custom template with custom sidebar for KB page. You can ask your theme developer for this work :)

Thanks.

Reg. point 5 – then I would get a duplicate content, wouldnt I? because then I would get my own category-page + my manually created pages?

AKA – I wanted to “overwrite” the default category-pages

Also I got following additional questions:

1. Can I chose one specific category for a landingpage? E.g. “RMA” on the “RMA-page?”

2. Is your plug-in prepared for Localization? I need translation for Danish, and dont want to edit the source-files every time I update!

3. Can I change color/ remove animation etc.?

And a suggestion:

ONE feature, which is corrently holding me back from purchasing:

Sometimes questions can be easily answered, and kept SHORT. In those cases I find it annoying if having to leave the page you are on, every time you click on a question. A normal WP blog-item build up also contains a “quotation-field” (short description). Either this text – or simply the e.g. the first 40 excerpts should be displayed on drop-down with a “read more” button.

Also, question; What happens with rating upon adding/ changing content of the Kowledge Base text? Will it be auto-reset?

+ Has it got any A-B splittest capabilities?

I would find it interesting to see if video-help is really worth taking the time for vs. basic text.

Cheers

Peter

- Yes, you can chose one specific category for a landing page.

- Yes, plugin is ready for localization.

- Yes, you can change colors from plugin option panel.

- Right now, I’ve no plan to add “read more” button.

- No, Rating value will not change upon changing KB contents. But, you can reset rating value using Quick/Bulk Edit option from admin panel.

Thanks.

Niiiice one! Thanks! :)

Hi. Looks interesting!

Question: Can this work with BuddyPress? I mean like, can I create a user-role admission so users can create posts within these areas? Where people can then like/ dislike?

Or is it only ADMIN/ backend users who can currently create such posts?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your message.

- Plugin has no relation with BuddyPress.

- Yes, you can create custom role and assign “Create Post” permission for that role. So that, users with “Admission” role can create new KB item.

- Users who has permission to create posts can insert KB items from admin panel. Users(Non registered/registered) can submit their question externally from your website.

Let me know, If you need more info.

Regards,

Mahbub

Any plans on perhaps adding the option to add a “Ask Question” button as shortcode, so I can add it on top of the questions?

Replied.

Pre-purchase question. On the individual knowledge base posts what will appear in the sidebar? I’ve had problems with other plugins in that you have no control over what appears there. I definitely don’t want the default blog sidebar contents to appear there. In your example, it doesn’t look like that and I want the same effect.

Hi kelebekboy,

Thanks for your question.

Yes, sidebar will appear on the individual KB post. Basically, KB plugin uses your theme single.php page to display individual KB. You can also create custom page that only uses to display KB single posts.

Let me know, If you need more info.

Cheers!

Hi – I was hoping to integrate this KB manager plugin with this theme:

http://themeforest.net/item/academy-learning-management-theme/4169073

Do you think it would be a problem? May be a really simple question, just want to confirm.

I’m here for your support, if plugin create any issue :)

Thanks.

How do I disable the rotating number effect?

Hi,

Go to KB option panel>Knowledege Base Page. There you will get a option called “KB List Style Type”. Select “None” from that list and save.

Thanks.

I see your plugin uses archive.php and single.php to display kb items. Your items do not display correctly, they all end up in the header of the “page” and not in the body.

also, my theme uses a taxonomy.php template, how can i add your taxonomies to it?

i fixed the template issue by adding wrappers to the content. But the taxonomy issue persists

Hi,

Knowledgebase plugin uses two taxonomies. categories taxonomy is – “bkb_category” and tags taxonomy is – “bkb_tags”.

You can check following tutorial for more details-

https://code.tutsplus.com/articles/building-dynamic-taxonomy-pages-with-wordpress--wp-23298

Thanks!

Hi, two questions: 1) I would like to try this plugin, however the live preview does not offer a sandbox environment as other plugins usually do. How can I have a demo of the actual admin interface?

2) Do you have any knowledge/experience of whether this plugin works nicely in ThemeForest Jupiter theme, which I am currently using. Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your interest.

1. Right now, no sandbox environment is available. If you want you can check screenshots of admin panel in here-

http://codecanyon.net/theme_previews/7972812-bwl-knowledge-base-manager?index=9&url_name=bwl-knowledge-base-manager

2. It should work with Jupiter theme. So far I did not received any complain about knowledgebase plugin conflict with Jupiter theme.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Another question: can I use Visual Composer when editing this post type?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

Well, I do not provide any compatibility guarantee for third-party plugins. But, knowledgebase plugin uses WordPress custom post type function, so It should work with Visual composer.

Cheers!

Also, one more question. I see that the view count is not filtered for IP, unlike the vote count. Would it be possible to include the IP filtering for the view count as well, in order to prevent intentional increases of the viewcount? Could be done as a parameter preferably, as many might want to use it as it is now.

Thanks.

Thanks for your idea. Will add it in next release.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the attitude! If only all developers were like this :) Eagerly waiting for the next version.

Hi,

IP filter for view counter has been added in version 1.0.3

Thanks.

Hi,

Awesome plugin, thanks. Have a few issues though.

1: How can I remove the “Add A Knowledge Base Question !” section from the individual kb items? I know there is a parameter to disable it, but that means I cannot use the shortcode at all anywhere, which is not good for me.

2: I LOVE the popup version of the “Add A Knowledge Base Question !”. I would love to have this popup somewhere in my page as a link / button. How could I do this? I’d like to disable the small button on the right as it’s not in an ideal position for me.

3: Feature suggestion: To be able to have sticky kb items, or/and to be able to manually set the order of the items per category.

This 3rd question is not important at all, I solved it already, but the first two are essential for me. Thanks a lot for the assistance in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for your questions and ideas.

1. Will add disable feature in upcoming release.

2. Yes, you can disable this from knowledgebase option panel. “Popup some where else” option is not available now. But, I like the idea. Will add this feature in upcoming release too.

3. I’ve no plan to add “sticky KB item” feature.

Great day ahead.

Cheers!

Hi,

I’ve just bought your plugin and have set it up however the Sticky Buttons (search + ask a question) aren’t showing.

I’m running the plugin on the Avada theme.

Can you advise why it would’nt be showing?

Thanks.

Hi,

Please send me your website admin panel info via my profile page, I’ll check and let you know soon.

Thanks :)
