When updating from 5.6, we’re facing the issue which was caused by a typo in line 32 of wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/updaters/class-vc-updater.php. Except that we didn’t find this typo this time. Can you help?

Hello Marion, In this case, you can update the plugin manually as per the second method suggested here: https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/getting-started/update/ and can avail auto-updates for future releases.

Role Manager settings will not save. Using latest version 6.6 that I got in my Total theme, so I do not have paid support with you guys. Using the ‘pages only’ still has them showing on all post types and the ‘custom’ option allows me to uncheck post types but on refresh they all recheck. It looks like alot of people are having this issue. Any fix for this?

Hello, I am running the latest version 2.0.4 for Templatera. I have tested with turning off all plugins and it still doesn’t work. I am thinking this is related to my site being a multisite. I tested on a single site install and it seems to be working as intended. Are there any known bugs or fixes for a multisite with the role manager issue?

We recently noticed what we think is a bug in the code: when logged in as super admin in a network WP installation, after unchecking some of the post types for which VC should be enabled in the Role Manager panel and saving, the checkbox are still checked afterwards. Same if I try to customize the list of elements available to a given role: after I save the list (as a super admin user), all the elements are checked again. This does not happen if I am editing these settings with a regular site admin account. Digging in the source code, I noticed special conditions for the super_admin role, which seem to cause this issue. Given how things have changed in WP over the last few yeas, I was hoping you would be open to remove those special conditions in your code, to address this issue. Thank you.”
Any chance you guys could at least add a filter to allow for the h4 heading tag used in getParamHeading() for the vc_tta-panel-title to be swapped to a different heading tag for SEO reasons.

Is there any way to insert a shortcode in the text editor? When I use Gutenberg + Pods together, the insert shortcode icon appears. Not so with WP-bakery. Anyway to get it turned on?

can i please download an older version of the plugin? i had no problems with 6.4.2 and since then i have only problems. now my backend editor does not load, images also do not always load.
Something that has bugged me for years and I have no idea how to fix.
When we have a row that is stretched full width, on page load the row is contained until the JS is loaded then it goes full width. Its a bad user experience and every page flickers from contained to full . How can we fix / avoid this for full width stretch rows?
Hello, We are aware of this issue. At present, a workaround in this case is to use a preloader which will allow loading the content beneath it and only display it when the page is fully loaded.

Just a quick question – hopefully a support ticket isn’t required. When using visual composer templates I seem to be getting a backslash where I try to use a double quote,
for instance, [vc_row full_width=\”stretch_row_content_no_spaces\”] this bugs out the whole page.
Any idea as to why? I’m on the latest 6.6.0 version.
I fixed it by adding this in functions.php: remove_filter( ‘content_save_pre’, ‘acf_parse_save_blocks’, 5 );
It seems to be related with ACF plugin.

We reported this problem 4 months ago, you released new plugin updates but haven’t included this very small fix but with a big impact.
When you are on the Insert/edit link area and clicks the “Open link in a new tab” WPBakery doesn’t automatically add the rel=”noopener when there are links target=”_blank” there.
In Lighthouse I get a recommendation of Links to cross-origin destinations are unsafe.
Add rel=”noopener” to any external links to improve performance and prevent security vulnerabilities.
New tab links should look like this example:<a href="https://mysite.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">My Site</a>

This is very important standard and I hope that you will add this by default as soon as possible so our sites will be more secure and have a better score on Lightroom too.

Hi, do you have a recommended method of migration a website with WPBakery Page Builder to a new domain?
I’ve tried All-in-One Migration and Cloudways Migrator and both stripped the URLS from VC links/buttons. So button links only show ‘https’ and nothing after that.
Currently on v5.6

Is there a way to apply the Post Grid animations to Masonry Grid or at least remove the default animation? I see options but they’re None, Fade in and default and nothing changes.
The Masonry grid items always wait a few seconds then fly-in from the bottom left. Its really annoying.
