Hey there i need some help. Can’t seem to get the short code working for my taxonomy. It means that the theme, doesn’t run the content for collections description through do_shortcode function. You can send me wp admin access via private message and I could tell you what exactly to do to fix this behavior.

Hi, I am trying to use VC snippets with seperate shortcodes. Inserting into the title of an wpbakery element (like: Call to action). But doesn’t render, it shows the raw shortcode output..When force processing selected , it shows empty.
Is there a way to make this work? This would be cool and you could also use wpbakery elements for vc snippets.
Example shortcode used:: [vc-acf-template-field-picker template_field=”heros:hero_content:hero_title”]
The HTML for the Call to action element shows up as this. It looks like it changes the shortcode output when used in the title textbox:

You should use ACF Field picker instead of ACF Template Field Picker. The latter is only when VC Snippet is used as a template for ACF Repeater or ACF Flexible Content fields.

Sorry, but I don’t get you. WP ACF-Bridge plugin doesn’t have a functionality to create custom categories, which you’ve mentioned. So, I have no idea what are you referring to.

Hi I used plugin to create custom category, but since I updated to latest wordpress 5, when I try to edit category to filter the categories that should be displayed under parent category, it keeps, the container on the post grid keeps loading.

Sometimes such issue appears and every time it depends on different aspects. Most likely there is a conflict with another script of a plugin or theme. If you could send me WP Admin access (and FTP access is also preferable), I could then investigate this issue for you. Please also tell what browser you’re using and if you have the same issue with another browser.

I have successfully set up a repeater field in a site using Visual Composer (using the handy VC – ACF Bridge plugin).

I’ve added two examples but need to add 12 sets of image/text that would display on a random basis so that users get to see a different intro each time they visit the homepage.
(Just to clarify there would only ever be 1 image and 1 text block showing at any time… the other 11 would display randomly on refresh.)
I can see on here: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/repeater/ that we can use the ‘Get a random row from a repeater’ code but my question is how should this be implemented ? My concern is that if I change the code it will be overwritten by an update.
Basically if I do the above I see all the entries instead of it rotating through one set of images at a time.

Thanks for the details provided right away. To answer properly, I need to know the context also. E.g. how do you display this repeater field? Are you using ACF Field Picker or rendering it manually with custom PHP code?
Regarding your concern about overwritten changes: general rule of thumb is to not modify original theme and plugin. Instead, use hooks to modify functionality and write them in child theme.

I’m using ACF Field Picker. I’ve now set it to show all ACF fields (there’s only two for the moment) and as you can see it just shows them stacked http://ignitelabs.co.uk/dev/lutyens18/ – instead of rotating between them.
Ideally we just want one of the image/text intros to show randomly on new page load. So we’ll have about 10 and they will just show a random one each time.

All clear. There are many ways, but to make life easier I’ve made now ACF Field Picker params filterable, which means you can add a hook to set a “sub_field” attribute randomly. Please send me a private message and I’ll send you back this updated plugin version and instructions what to do. Also, please include the acf field picker shortcode code, so I can provide you an exact code.

Yes. That’s exactly the main feature in this plugin. WPBakery Page Builder will be available as ACF field, which you can add anywhere just like any ACF field.

Вставить шорткод нужно в описание категории (или в шаблон категории в PHP) [acf field=”category_custom_content” post_id=”product_cat_1”], где :
1) “category_custom_content” это название поля
2) “product_cat_1” это название таксономии “product_cat” и идентификатор категории “1”.
