Hi;
Already bought your plugin and really like it.
I am tring to do something with it wich I don’t really know if it’s posible. I have a 48 questiosn test with (all them) 3 possible answers (a, b or c).
As a result of the test, I want to have a Radar chart with the individual number of a, b and c’s.
I tryed assigning categories to answers, but It didn’t work.
There’s is another thing I need to do and that i don’t really find. Is there any way to make numbers not appear in the radar chart axis?
Thanks.
Hello,
Do you assign the categories this way?
Question: Do you like this website? [-]
Answer1: Yes [cata]
Answer2: No [catb]
Answer3: Maybe [catc]
You can add percentage=”true” to the result shortcode, then it will display percentages instead of the exact numbers.

Hi, Does this integrate with aweber, mailchimp, getresponse etc. Thanks
Hello,
Yes. Aweber, MailChimp and GetResponse integration already available in the plugin.

Hi,
I’d like to know if it is possible to:
Show real time result ranking with name only after some one participate in quiz.
Elaborating: After creating quiz, if 100 people participate in that quiz, there will be a real time ranking with name there. Please let me know if this is possible with this plugin.
Hello,
Sorry, leaderboard is not a feature at the moment. It can be achieved by code customization only.
Regards,
Pantherius
Thanks for the super quick reply. Is this possible with customization? It’ll cost me extra?
You’re welcome!
Sure. However, I’m not available for freelance jobs at the moment, I can recommend my partner company to make this customization. If you interested, please send me a message via my profile page mail sender and I’ll send you the contact details.

Hi,
I checked docs but I didn’t find how can I set up weights for rating criterias, can’t I? I mean I have entities to be rated by multiple rating criterias and I’d like to set up different weights for the different rating criterias ( it obviously only affects overall rating scores ). So can I set this plugin this way?
Thanks
Hello,
However, you can assign scores to the answers, setting up any other weights for the answers is not possible without code customization.
Regards,
Pantherius
Hi,
those scores are used – AFAIK – only in personality quizzes (to simply aggregate them and categorize personality by aggregated score), but I ask it using in rating and in surveys/polls. I mean either rating/survey creator or the answerer could set up these weights, depending on the business case…
For example, the rating type survey question is like: “How satisfied are you with the different features of Wordpress?” and there would be multiple answers, so eg. the first option is: “Easy content creation” and answerer can rate it to 4.5 and there would be the same secondary question for all options, like: “How important does this issue/aspect for you? (1-5)”, so answerer might give 5 for this answer option, what we also can consider as a weight.
Consider it pls. as a feature suggestion, it would allow us to create much more complex surveys, ratings and much detailed and therefore more useful data gained from the suveys.
Thanks
Sorry, maybe I’m misunderstood your request. If you turn the question to rating question in the Question Options (gear icon at the left side), then the plugin automatically assign ratings to the answers. If you add 5 answers, then the first answer will worth 1 the second 2 and so on. That means, this question could be rated 1-5. If you add 10 answers, then the question can be rated 1-10
It is also possible to categorize the questions or answers as well, then display a chart based on the category ratings. Unfortunately, multiple answers with rating questions doesn’t makes sense since there is always one answer (with stars). Therefore I don’t really know how do you mean rating questions with multiple answers.

Pantherius
You can check the rating survey demo here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/company-support-questionnaire/
I’m sorry if my idea and examples are confusing…
Your plugin can be customized so many ways that I suppose your aim is to extend its features continuously, make it more and more advanced, that’s why I dared to ask my questions
Basically most of the survey / poll / rating plugins are working with simple, let’s say 1 level deep questions ( taking your linked example: Q: “How good is our support?” and Respondents can rate it 1-5 or whatever ) What I ask is using multiple ( at least 2
) level deep ( hierarchical ) questions, where we can refine, get more details of Respondents answers further more ( eg.: How good is our support response time? / How good our support’s competency and skills? / How polite our support personnel? / etc. )
It makes sense for the survey’s / rating’s Author to add his own weights to the different rating criteria groups ( 1st level of questions and their answers ) and also ask the Respondents to set their own weights ( eg.: How important for you the support’s speed / skills / politeness? ), both the aggregated values are important.
So I think it makes sense to allow us Authors to create such surveys, ratings, where we can create survey question ( or rating criteria ) groups, which are at least 2 level deep and both Author and Respondents can set a weight to every each question ( question group) or rating criteria ( or rating criteria group ) or answer option! (likely different cases) This weight for every question or answer option can be 0 -10 and all ones default can be 5.
I hope I could clarify the idea better and gave some inspiration to further extend this great plugin’s features!
Best!
Actually, it is not true.
You can already create questions in unlimited deeps with the question redirection feature.
However, it needs smart planning, let see an example:
Question1: Which one is the most important for you?
A1: Support
A2: Product Quality [3]
A3: Price [4]
Question2: How would you rate our Support?
A1: Bad [5]
A2: Not bad [5]
A3: I’m satisfied [5]
A4: Good [5]
A5: Excellent [5]
Question3: How would you rate our products quality?
A1: Bad [5]
A2: Not bad [5]
A3: I’m satisfied [5]
A4: Good [5]
A5: Excellent [5]
Question4: What do you think about our prices?
A1: Expensive
A2: Not bad
A3: Fair
A4: Good
A5: Cheap
Question5: Continue the survey with any question…
A1: answer1
A2: answer2
A3: answer3
In this example, the questions 2,3,4 are the subquestions of the first question. Find the redirection in brackets with the question number. If it doesn’t has any redirection, that means it will jump to the next question.
Certainly, you can create any subquestions this way with the proper question redirection.
Is it you are looking for?

Pantherius
I’m thinking of some similar, but a bit more complex
My idea is not a simple redirection after specific questions (and skipping irrelevant or not applicable questions) but grouping them for example for aggregated (top level and rating criteria group level) rating scores.
I only use rating examples below, but the same might be applied with some tweaks for surveys and polls in several cases.
So let’s say we want Respondents to rate different Restaurants. Rating criterias are grouped to rating criteria groups. A rating criteria group is eg. “Menu”, rating criterias in this group are Soups, Drinks, etc.. So the Respondent would rate the rating criterias and we would have the specific rating criteria score one by one, and the average score for rating criteria, rating criteria group and on top level ( so I rated Soups as 4 on 1-5 scale, the Soups average score is 4.3, the Menu average score is 3.9 and the top level (the specific restaurant’s overall average score is 4.25 )
I haven’t touched yet the question of those question or answer option weights. Let’s convert your example Q2-4 answer options to ratings of 1-5, I rated them like: 5, 3, 3, so the average score is 3.67. But what if the Author think the 3 questions doesn’t have the same importance for him, therefore he wants to change their weights, he wants to add more weight to Q4 and less weight to Q3? Furthermore, Author doesn’t only want to get those ratings of Q2-4, but also want to know how important do the Respondents consider Q2, Q3 or Q4? I as the Author supposed Q4 > Q2 > Q3 is the importance order (Q4 is most important), but the different Respondents might think totally the opposite.
These weights are obviously used while calculating 1-level-above average scores, so if we have Soups rated as “5” and Drinks as “3” and the weight of Drinks is 2 times higher than Soups, the weighted average of Menu is ((1 * 5)+(2 * 3)) / (5+2 * 3) =”3.67” instead of “4” (where every options has the same weight and only these 2 options we have)
I hope it was not too long and confusing…
Best
Thank you for explaining the idea further. I think it is more than likely a custom development than achieve it with a ready-made plugin.
Honestly, the performance is one of the most important key in my developing goals. Integrating too much features in the same plugin highly affects the performance, because most of the people using different features. The one who using the plugin for a personality quiz or a simple survey doesn’t need to implement heavy-sized JS files with plenty of unnecessary codes.
Certainly, I’m trying to extend the plugin with useful features, but this idea seems to be a large addition. I’ll considering to add it as an addon maybe.
Anyway, thank you for your suggestion.
Regards,
Pantherius
I would eagerly pay for a plugin addon or extension which extends its rating capabilities with the above mentioned ( different criteria group and top level average ratings with modifyable question and answer weights ) and not yet mentioned leaderboards and top lists of Respondents or different entities of quizzes, surveys and ratings …
Best, and Happy Holidays!
Yes, leaderboards already on my TODO list.
Wish you the same!

Pantherius
Hi,
pls. add the date info to the changelog: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/documentation/#line14
Thanks
Hello,
Sure, I’ll trying to keep it in my mind, but you can always see the last update time on the item’s page.

Any news about the possibility to display the participants form at the beguining of the survey ?
Hello,
I’m still not sure it is worth to add since most of the people would use it with fake data to access to survey. That might causing plenty of useless results in the database.
In the other hand, using it at the end of the survey will provide much more better result. If the user already completed the survey, most of them will be also willing to give their details.
Regards,
Pantherius
Pre purchase. In the results page (using shortcode), is it possible to see results based on date?
For example: see results from January 1 to January 30. Or click the date picker and see only 30 days ago. Kind of like how you can see Google Analytics data based on date.
Thanks.
Hello,
No, it is not a feature at the moment.
Regards,
Pantherius
Can you do it as a customization? And how much?
Sorry, currently I’m not available for freelance jobs.
Regards,
Pantherius
Alright, do you think it’s doable? Like if I hired someone? Do you see a way to do it?
Certainly yes, but it needs high sever performance to filter thousands of entries and calculate different results/charts. It needs heavy code customization.
Regards,
Pantherius
Is there a way to turn on the answers pie chart section labels to be viable all the time, instead of only when hover over a section.
Also I want the email results to only show the individual answers as someone completes the survey – not a summary of all answers.
Hello,
Both of them could be achieved by some code customization only. By the way, you can enable legend for pie charts, that can be turned on with legend=”true” parameter in the result shortcode.
Regards,
Pantherius
I like it, but export or showing participants is not possible “The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. ...38572c0c26a29cf62407425cc3c70 5c24668a5e10c15bf01c3c9be0ec…”
Hello,
It seems to be your support period has expired. Please purchase a support extension on the item’s page, then send me a message via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.
Please also make sure, you using the latest version, that is available on CodeCanyon.

Hi, Pantherius,
A couple of pre-sale questions. I’m interested in product recommendation and personality tests part of your plugin.
1. Can I associate more than one outcome with each answer? For example, I have a question and two answers. One answer determines Type A, the other answer determines Type B and Type C. Then, further down the line, the remaining questions may help further split Type B and Type C.
2. What does the plugin do in personality test and product recommendation if two personalities/products are eventually suggested? Does the plugin decide which one to choose or does it suggest all resulting options?
3. What is the depth of product recommendation/personality test in terms of number of questions to be asked? Is there any limit?
Kind regards,
Kirill
Hello Kirill,
1. Yes, you can assign multiple categories to the same answer.
2. If two categories got the same scores, then the plugin display both of them. Therefore, it is recommended to planning well and add enough questions to help choosing one category at the end of the survey.
3. No, there is no limits.
Regards,
Pantherius
Pantherius,
Many thanks for the reply, and a final question before I buy: is there a way to assign weighs to different questions, in order to make responses to some questions more critical than responses to other questions?
Thank you for excellent clarifications
Kind regards,
Kirill
You’re very welcome!
It is possible to assign scores to the answers, that can be used as weight. Any other solution is not available at the moment.

Hi,
I am having trouble saving surveys. Once I hit save, the load circle is endlessly rotating and the survey never saves. It’s been running for over 20 minutes now.
Please advise.
Hello,
The issue probably caused by a server configuration error. Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check.

Good day, I have installed this plugin but it doesn’t seem to work on mobile – i.e. Iphone 7 – even when trying to double touch the buttons do not allow the user to advance to the next question. Please advise?
Hello,
Please send me your survey URL via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check the issue.

Good day, Great plugin – how can we add a close button to the end of the survey?
Hello,
Thank you!
The following HTML with the specified class and ID will close the survey:
<a href="JavaScript:void()" class="cl_survey" id="close_survey">Close</a>
The closeable checkbox must be turned ON on the survey edit screen.
You can add your own class and use it to set your own design on the Custom CSS page under the Modal Survey admin navigation menu,
By the way, if the End Delay on the survey edit screen higher than zero, it should close the survey automatically at the end.
Regards,
Pantherius
Thanks for your response – however i’d like the close button to simply be active from the previous state. So after the last questions instead of the close button being removed i’d like the button to stay visible.
You’re welcome!
That can be achieved by some custom code. Simply hide the close image with CSS, then make it visible at the end of the survey with a few lines of JavaScript code.
Add the following lines to the Custom CSS page:
#close_survey {
display: none;
}
Add these lines to the Thank you message field:
<script type='text/JavaScript'>jQuery('.modal-survey-container').prepend('<img id="\'close_survey\'" style="\'display:block\'" class="\'cl_survey" closeimg_small="" src="\'http://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/modal_survey/templates/assets/img/remove.png\'" />');</script>
Don’t forget to replace the yourwebsite.com with your own website URL.
Regards,
Pantherius
Thank you soo much for your assistance – it is working perfectly – much appreciated.
You’re very welcome!
Hi, We’ve temporarily put our project on hold for about 3 months and will resume February 2018. Just wanted to inquire to make sure that even though we have not extended our support for this theme, the theme updates will continue until we resume in February 2018? Also, how much is it to renew just the support of this theme?
Hello,
Sure, you will get the plugin updates, it doesn’t limited for any period. You can find the support pricing model here.

I have created a survey and am happy with the results it throws out – a category pie chart. However two things, 1 I cannot figure out how to add category labels to the pie segments and 2 I want to be able to email the result pie chart to the participant (not just the question results). I have tried pasting the results shortcode into the auto email but get nothing showing.
www.balance.karenchaston.com.au
Hello,
Happy to hear that, you like it.
1. You can find how to categorize the questions or answers in the documentation here.
2. The chart couldn’t be emailed since it is displayed by using JavaScript / jQuery, that is not supported in any email content.

Pantherius
Hi, I have few pre-sell questions 1. Will the result be send to User and Admin 2. Can we have Statics Chart 3. Can we export Result as CSV, and this contain user detail like Name, Email Id, Score 4. Do it has timer 5. Should the user be required to be logged in to take this quiz? 6. Will it work on all theme
Hello,
1. Yes, there is an admin notification email and you can also configure Auto-Response at the end of the survey.
2. Yes, there are many result charts shortcodes available, see them in the documentation here.
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Depends on the settings. You can turn on the Logged In Only option, then the survey will be displayed for logged in users only.
6. However, it doesn’t tested with all theme, it should work with all premium themes, which follow the WordPress developing standards.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Is there a way to document who completed a survey in cases where the administrator conducts the survey personally and just fills in the information?
Also, is there a way to control which surveys a user has access to when creating an account and logging in? ...upon returning back to the site to do another survey?
Can survey answers be edited by the admin?
Hello,
All the individual results displayed under the Participants Page on the admin area.
You can include the survey to any page/post with a shortcode, therefore the visibility can be controlled by any membership plugin.
If you mean, the open text answer, that’s no editable by the admin, it can be deleted only. The survey plugin built to avoid any cheating, it is the reason the user’s answer can’t be modified.

Hi, 1. Will this plugin allow frontend users (Not admin from backend) to create and submit survey, polls and etc from frontend? 2. RTL support? 3. WMPL support?
Hello,
1. No, creating surveys on the frontend is not a feature at the moment.
2. However, RTL is not supported officially yet, several of my clients using it on RTL websites. I didn’t tested it yet, so I can’t confirm how does it work.
3. Yes, the texts can be translated by the official way using Poedit or any other 3rd party translator plugin.

Error after updating plugin..
Hi guys,
I’ve just updated to the most recent version (Current Plugin Version: 1.9.8.6)
When I view the survey on the backend everything is showing up incorrectly formatted.
See screenshot: https://drive.google.com/a/brovio.net/file/d/1Dbj_njGv3GMQWIYSnCSfyJxBnYXyBRe6/view?usp=drivesdk
It’s causing me to not be able to use the backend altogether.
Have attempted to export my survey and then import it with no answers, but the issues still remain.
Can you please let me know if there is a fix?
Thanks
Hello,
Please make sure, you refreshed the page few times since it is mostly caused by cache. If it is still doesn’t help, then probably it is causing by a jQuery / JavaScript conflict with any other plugin.
It seems to be your support period has expired. Please purchase a support extension on the plugin’s page, then send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to take a look.

Pantherius
