Hi, Just downloaded the plugin, so far really impressed. We are looking to develop quite a complex quiz with several modules (different surveys) and questions. So I have a some questions which I hope you can help with: 1. Is it possible to display on the front end which surveys a logged in user has completed already? 2. Is it possible to randomise the order of the questions? 3. I realise you can only import via JSON but can you think of a workaround where we can convert that json to an easily editable file such as a spreadsheet that we can populate and the re-import to the plugin. Otherwise this could take quite some time to populate one by one in the backend.

Thanks very much!

Hello,

Great to hear that, you like it.

1. However, you can use the ‘Display once per Filled Out’ option in the General Option to show the uncompleted surveys only, showing a list of uncompleted survey by title or name is not a feature at the moment. It can be achieved by some code customization.

2. No, randomize the questions is not available.

3. The JSON import/export built for specifically to manage the plugin’s own datas in the database. It provides many fields, that technically unreadable without some developing skills. Honestly, I don’t really understand how would you like to use it to populate. Could you specify, please?

Hi,

Thanks for the answers.

Ref question 3. We have some quite long quizzes, it would be easier if we could set them up in a spreadsheet i.e. the questions, answers, scores, other fields etc. and then import them. Otherwise we have to manually enter each questions and answer which will take longer. As there is no facility to upload a spreadsheet, I wondered if there was a way to use the JSON file as a bridge between a spreadsheet and the plugin.

If there is no workaround then I guess we’ll just have to do it manually :)

Thanks

Adam

Hey Adam,

I see now. However, it could be done with some code customization, it is not a feature at the moment. Really sorry, but honestly, this feature has been never requested before, it is the reason it doesn’t added yet. By the way, it’s really good idea, just added it to my TODO list for further consideration.

We have personality type quiz. Problem: Chart displays cumulated results based on scores for the questions with all participants.

We want to display the scores obtained by a single participant. How can we do that? And the redirection should be based on individual participant score, not based on overall scores for a response by all participants.

Hi, I purchased this plugin and it’s working great. One question: Are there any analytics tracked for when someone closes out the survey right away without answering any questions?

Hello,

If you mean, clicking on the survey’s close icon, then it there is no built-in analytics. However, you can achieve it relatively easily with Google Analytics track event.

Hi there, this is a pre-order question …

Can I create a survey with 5 sections. Each of these sections will feature multiple questions and each question in each section are added together to create an overall score for that section.

Once the customer has completed all the sections we then display a radar graph where each of the points of the graph are the total scores from each section of the survey they just took?

You’re welcome!

Sure, as you can see in the example survey above, it is already display the individual(your) results at the end of the survey on a radar chart.

Certainly, it is also possible to display the cumulative results as well (see on the bar chart below the survey)

Pantherius

Thankyou! Last one … I promise (maybe!)

Can you display all questions on one page rather than having to answer a question before moving on?

Or at least a set of questions per page … the survey I’m planning is very long.

Sure, you can display all questions or set to display specified number of questions at a time.

Pre Sales Question: Does have the option to capture Emails and sync those emails with ActiveCampaign?

Hello, the plugin have translation? thanks

Hello,

However, the plugin translatable by the official way using Poedit or any other translator plugin, it doesn’t provide any translation by default.

Pre-order question. Is it possible to embed the result of the survey on another website (static website) which is not Wordpress? We would like to use this survey and create a wordpress page just for the questionnaire but we would like to embed the result to our existing static website which is not wordpress. Is this possible?

The old-school checkboxes and radio buttons are currently not available in the plugin. These buttons are much more flexible and customizable. I’m considering to add checkbox style in any of the next release.

The cookies should work, you can try out with this personality test. If it is display your individual results at the end in the iFrame, then the cookies works.

Yes, the open text answers displayed as “Others” on the public charts, you can see the real open text answers on the admin area individually.

Ok thanks. I just purchased

You’re welcome!

Pre-order question. I understand that there is no limit of survey I can create but is there any limit on the number of responses? I’m expecting like over 100,000 responses in one survey? Is that possible?

Hello,

The limit only the performance of your server. Highly recommended to export, then delete the results daily or weekly if you expect to get high number of votes to avoid too large database. However, the survey built to keep the best performance, handling large database depends on your server only.

What a pity :-/

hi just a quick question. how can i change the chart type which is displayed after submitting the survey. If i change from type=”flat” to type=”barchart” the survey dissapears.

I mean how do you trying to display the chart? Which result shortcode do you using for that?

i use option enable chart and than the bar chart however than it gives me two different charts one bar and one as it used to be (radar chart)

Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’ll check the issue.

Hi, just a simple pre sale question:

in case i want to show the survey for registered users, the user info records are related with the wordpress id, name, and email? i need to know if a registered user has filled a survey, as a condition to show other contents.

Thanks, Fernando

You’re welcome!

Yes, it’s correct.

Thanks again!

You’re very welcome!

Is it possible to add fields to the participants list for export? I need to add another column either than name, email, survey title and votes. This would be used for filtering the participants by organizations.

Thanks, Curtis

Hello Curtis,

The individual export file already provides the custom fields, that you added on the survey edit screen under the Participants Form.

Hello support, presales questions:

I looking for a system of votes for to songs, like a (top 20), Is this plugin compatible with such a system?

Hello,

If you mean, including songs in the survey, then it is not a feature at the moment. Certainly, if you would like to use the song names only in the survey without the ability to play, you can do it with this plugin.

On Simple Rating Survey, how can I have it just list all of the questions at once instead of going to the next question after they select 1 – 5 star?

Hello,

You can set Global Survey to OFF on the survey edit screen, then use a shortcode with parameter display=”all” on any page/post to include the survey with all questions. Find it under the shortcodes section in the documentation here.

Regards,
Pantherius

The surveys won’t save. Please advise on how to correct this issue as the plugin is useless if it’s not able to save.

Hello,

The issue usually caused by a server security configuration of Mod Security. Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender to make sure it is the same problem. If yes, then your hosting support can solve the issue quickly.

Pre-sale question: Would it be possible to make a global survey form, applied to all posts, and restrict survey data to the post author only? Ex. if I were to have a survey on a travel location, and show a summarized rating for that post, but detailed survey data is restricted to an author only, and different posts could have different authors, and one author should not be able to view data for another post.

A complex question, but I’m hoping you have an answer or if I can combine this plugin with some sort of Role plugin for Wordpress.

Hello,

It is not a feature at the moment, therefore it can be achieved by code customization only or using a 3rd party plugin as you mentioned.

The survey can be included to all posts. It is also possible to display the results by shortcode, so the post restriction depends on another plugins.

Pantherius

Hi,

I have some questions:

1) do you plan to develop or integrate some plugins which provides social login feature where one could enter into the survey by logging in via Facebook and allows me to fetch and use his FB checked public data, either in the survey or outside of the plugin, in users’ WP user profile data?

2) is there any specific WP role for the one who can manage a specific survey, poll or quiz, but nothing else. I mean like a SEO Manager of Yoast SEO plugin or a Shop Manager of Woocommerce…

Thanks, best!

Hello,

1. No, collecting data from Facebook doesn’t planned at the moment.

2. At the moment, only the Administrator has privileges to access the survey pages on the admin area.

Pantherius

I want to use this as backend for mobile app. Can you add REST API so that users can view and vote , input for pool and survey from their mobile phone app ?

do you do that customization ?

I can recommend my Power Elite partner company for this customization. Please send me a message via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to give you their contact details.

Regards,
Pantherius

Hello,

Just would like to letting you know, the new Modal Survey 2.0 version provides the Rest API feature to get any existing data from the survey and the results. You can find it in the documentation here: Modal Survey Rest API
