I’m testing the shortcode but it is only showing one word (default) when I test this shortcode [keywordinsert listenfor=”keyword” default=”default phrase”] on https://www.vlakbijles.nl/lander/
The plugin does not work with curly quotes ”. It works with straight quotes “
Thanks, it works now! I copied the shortcode with curly quotes from codecanyon. How can I force each keyword to use Capital?
I see. I will let them know. You will need to use CSS, like this:
h2:uabb-infobox-title-prefix {text-transform: capitalize;}
I installed the plugin but it does not work the same as the support page. You can see a test in
https://miasesoriaweb.com/contratacion-finalizada/?keyword=20In addition, when the “default phrase” should come out, it only “default” by not putting all the text in quotation marks.
Hi REDPYMED,
Can you switch to Twenty Seventeen theme, and see if the shortcode works?
Regards, Steve
Hello, can I use the keyword inside the code? Something like this:
span style=”text-color:#[keywordinsert listenfor=textcolor default=000000];”
Can’t get it to work.
Hi Simon,
Can you try adding quotes around your parameter values:
span style=’text-color:#[keywordinsert listenfor=”textcolor” default=”000000”];’
?
That doesn’t work for me neither :/ Any other ideas?
Hi Simon,
Please open a support ticket https://doig.website.technology/support/
This will allow me to provide some properly formatted CSS code for you to try.
Regards, Steve
I’m guessing the keyword is used in the URL (ie ={keyword}. Does this plugin have security against keyword injections? If so I’ll happily purchase this plugin.
Hi, I’m checking with developer on this, and I’ll get back to you soon. Apologies for the delay.
Hi,
Does this plugin still work? I’m wondering if I can grab keyword(s) from my adwords campaigns and insert them in the page H1 title. Did you guys update it by any chance so it updates the <title> tags as well?
Hi nextoronto. Yes, the plugin works where ever you can place shortcode. Currently, I don’t know of a way to place shortcode in the title of a page.
Hi, is it also possible to use the location of interest from adwords instead of keyword?
Hi Bharkema, perhaps it is. If you can add a URL parameter to your ad: &location={location}, and then set the shortcode to listen for location, this might work. Regards, Steve.
Is there a way to dynamically change image URLs using this plugin? For example, could I change
to
where detroit/tampa are the listenfors? I’m using Wordpress and would need to change it on a page built using Visual Composer.
Hi Jam. If you can work out how to insert shortcode in Visual Composer, then you can insert the shortcode in the IMG src attribute.
Could this be setup to [keywordinsert listenfor=”location” default=”Tampa”], then append AdWords ad URL with ?location=”Detroit” and have that location replace the default location?
yes, that’s right Jam
Thanks. Works perfect!
Purchased the plugin yesterday and installed on my WordPress website, I create a new page and place in this shortcode [keywordinsert listenfor=”keyword” default=”test phrase”]
I preview the page and only the word “test” shows up, the 2nd word after is “phrase” does not show up, why does this not show up?
I contacted you through your support on your website, created a ticket and received a response but when I log back in to view my ticket the page says “You are temporarily locked out”
Please help.
Hi Romes, Wordfence blocked you for using an invalid username. Please login with username “romanshash”. I will follow up on your ticket now.
Hi,
I’m having problems with the default string not loading.
If I use the shortcode [keywordinsert listenfor=”key” default=”TheValue”]. The default value loads when no query string parameters are in the url. It also works and replaces this properly when you have “key” in the querystring.
However the issue arises when I have a query string in the url, but the query string doesn’t contain “key”. In this instance it doesn’t put any text in and doesn’t use the default value either – its just replaced with a blank string.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Bug? I’m using WP 4.8 with the Avada theme.
Thanks!
Hi spinify, I speak to you about this in our support website. Thanks.
Hi – thanks! Sorry I hadn’t realized there was the support website when I posted this.
I know we’ll get to the bottom this quickly.
Thanks!
Hello,
This plugin is compatible with ThriveThemes content builder ? Thanks!
Hi Luciferian. Yes, it should be, as ThriveThemes content builder accepts shortcode I believe.
Can I change the html using dynamic insertion? for example I want to switch different images based on DKI
Hi. You may be able to wrap the shortcode in an img tag, so that the shortcode produces the image filename without extension, and the wrapping img tag produces the rest to make a valid HTML img.
Hi, this plugin looks great. Just a quick question.. does it have the ability to modify the display of the keywords to all uppercase or sentence-case? Often, our clients use city names in the search, but do not capitalize them. This is acceptable in search queries, but looks rough on a landing page.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi. You can wrap your shortcode in a < span class=”sentence-case ”> and then create CSS: .sentence-case {text-transform: capitalize;}. Cheers.
Ah.. makes sense
Thank you!
Hi, when I try to use this plugin this message appears:
Notice: Undefined index: q in /var/www/vhosts/highlandtitles.com/beta.highlandtitles.com/wp-content/plugins/dynamic-keyword-insertion/dynamic-keyword-insertion.php on line 33
Any ideas?
Hi Kev.
Do you know what PHP version your website is running on?
If it is less than PHP v5.6, please increase to 5.6.
PHP 5.6.30
I wonder if you can download the item again, extract the files from zip, and upload over FTP, to ensure all files are there? It will take 2-3 minutes.
Hi,
because it seems a great tool, can you please explain better the features and benefits,
Regards
Does the plugin change urls inside the landing page based on parameters? e.g. I want a “click here” button on the landing page and it url parameter should change depending on the parameters in source url.
Hi Supersonic. I don’t think that will work properly. Potentially, you could place the shortcode inside the URL of an A anchor link, but that won’t format the URL parameters properly. The plugin was not designed to place URL parameters inside hrefs unfortunately.
Hi, how should I insert the shortcode in the wordpress page url?
Hi. Wordpress does not support using shortcode in the page URL unfortunately.
Does it support changing keywords in the Main Menu and the Footer Menu?
Hi hsimeonov.
I’m not sure how that would work.
I don’t think Wordpress menus support shortcode.
Best if you ask if Wordpress menus support shortcode on a developer forum like wordpress.stackexchange.com, or wordpress.org/support.
Regards, Steve
Hi there, Is this plugin support Wordpress 4.7.1?
Also Can I install this plugin for many sites?
Hi Boss Yong
Yes, this plugin will work with Wordpress 4.7.1
Yes, you can currently install this plugin for many sites. This may change in the future though. Thanks for asking.
Regards. Steve
Hi there, I’m using the BMM (Broad Match Modified) match type and it’s passing the ”+” throught the shortcode. Is it possible to remove the plus? https://vault-it.co.za/managed-online-backups/?keyword=%2Bdata%20%2Bbackup%20%2Bsolution
Hi BuildingBlochs. I’m checking with our developer. I’ll keep you informed.
Great thanks. If it can’t be achieved with the current version. Please can you give me an idea if it’s something you will develop in the future and when will it be implemented. I think it’s quite fundamental to the core of the plugin.
Kind Regards
Hi Kaomi. I agree. I think we will introduce a new version within 2 weeks which allows this.
Hi Kaomi, version 5.1 of the plugin has been submitted for review. Once approved, you’ll receive a notification that the plugin has been updated, and you can download the new version and the issue should be resolved now. Regards, Steve
