Hi Yes you can limit vote by IP. It is actually 5 layers of protection IP is one of them. and Yes you can hide section Rules and Prizes and Your Videos

Is it possible to grind the videos directly on the site? Or is it mandatory to go through youtube, vimeo or dailymotion?
Hi. It is mandatory but it have very serious reasons. First for uploading video to your site you need enormous space (for videos) and enormous compute power (for rendering videos) and hughe memory size on your host. And of course you need super high connectivity for your server becouse people will read videos directly from your server. And another reason is Rights. If you allow directly upload videos users they can upload videos without author permission and if it happens you can be legaly responsible for that. So upload through youtube is the best way how to do contest. You do not need nothing and video rights are on Youtube, Vimeo or Dailymotion.
I do not want to allow uploading videos, it’s for a private video contest. The web space and the resources to read the videos are not a problem. On the other hand for reasons of rights, I can not host the videos on third platforms.
Sorry but this is how it is. Most of my customers can not allow uploading videos directly to server. Not even me and i have own server. It is very unpractical do upload to own server. Sorry what you want is very unusual and my plugin is not the right for you.

Hello. I love this plugin. However, when I create a new contest, the menu bar does not appear. It appears for a split second when I reload the page, but then it disappears and there’s no way to upload videos. I’m on Wordpress 4.7 and accessing the site via Chrome. It also doesn’t appear via mobile. Any suggestions?

I have a quick question would like to ask.
Is there a way to hide some of the setting on the top bar of the contest?
We want to hide the “Rules & Prizes” as we have built another page on the website for those details, so we do not need to copy and paste the rules on every contest we create.

And another question, is there we can keep the latest contest in the same page, other than create a new page every time for new contest?
Our problem now is we created the first monthly contest in Nov in the page “contest”, then now we want to create a new contest in Dec, but on the same page “contest”.
We know that we can create a new contest on a new page, just as we share the link of the contest page of the website as the main contest page, it’s not easy for us to ask people to go to the new page for the new contest.
The only way now we can fix it is to create the new contest on a new page (let’s say contest02), create the new contest, then go back to WP dashboard>Video Contest>Contests, edit the “Relative to page” of the Nov contest to the new page, contest02, then change the Dec contest to the old page, contest.
In your design, are there more appropriate steps to do that?
Also we will suggest that in the Contests setting, beside Edit or Delete the current contests, you can add the “Create” button to create new contest. If so, we can just change the “Relative to page” directly in there for the new contest and old contest all at once, and no need to back and forward to the pages of the website.

Well yes you can do it. But you must delete in contest settings the old contest and you can run another one on the same page. Yes also you can do what you saying. Create new contest and switch the old one to another page. Well it can be done. But create contest that way is not easy for new customers. The way i used is quick and effective. You will create page hit button add contest and then fill the form. But your suggestion is complicated. Create page -> go to Photo Contest section, hit Contests, hit create button, than page selection than form …. this is too complicated for most users.
Hi, Great plugin just one real issue I want to know about. Is there a shortcode you can use to show a particular video contest. The video contest page works great on my site but I also want to display the same contest as a Facebook tab through an app so people can vote on the same contest in Facebook. I’ve tried using the amr widget shortcode plugin to display the widget in a page but it does not work. The closest I’ve got is using the insert page shortcode plugin but it was not very effective. If I use your plugin shortcode then it just displays the new contest form – it does not connect up to any particular contest. Thought I’d ask before diving too much into the code to try and write my own shortcode script. As a short aside. To help tidy up the video and stop related videos playing at the end I did a quick mod of the contest-video-detail php file by adding $stoprel =”&rel=0”; after line 159 and changing line 162 to: $line = ’<iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/’.$video_meta_id.$autoplay.$stoprel.’” frameborder=”0” allowfullscreen></iframe>’; The related videos no longer show at the end of the video and helps keep voters on your site rather than clicking away. But great plugin and worth spending the money on.
Hi. First Thank you for your nice words. Second. I understand what you want but the problem is that is not that simple. Even i see some problems when you want to do this new shortcode. It is complicated explain how to whole system works. What you need is wordpress php developer with advanced skills. About youtube embed i do not know how to &rel=0 works sorry.

No. For uploading videos directly you need own server with hughe space for the videos, you need enormous compute power an hughe ram memory for rendering videos and you also need super high connectivity for streaming videos. This is not possible for 99.99% all my customers. So it is better use streaming site like Youtube instead. So my answer is no. It is not possible. Sorry.

If you reduce size you will reduce also the video quality. No direct upload is big problem for almost everybody. Even short video have over 32mb and 32mb is basic limit on most web host. No. Sorry i can do anything and i did almost all suggestion from customers. But this is not possible. Youtube or Vimeo better option than own 5000 dollars server.

Yes! I need to create another video contest but i dont want to delete the previous one, so the multi-contests version suits my just perfect.
Please be sure that you have here in your Settings->Email Settings checked option “Item update notifications”. So you will be informed about new version immediately after Envato approval
