I want to buy this plugin.. but i have some questions .
Is there a functionality available to upload our own videos instead of youtube or dailymotion links.
My requirement is like.. I have a contest where artist will upload there videos with different categories .
On the admin backend the administrator will shorlist the iploaded entries and approve or disapprove it. Only the approved entries of videos will be visible on the website.
The entries which are visible on website will be voted by peoples.
Hi. No. First When you hosted videos on your site you’re the one who is responsible for videos copyright. Second you need massive space on your host, you must have hughe contectivity and ram memory and enourmous computing power for rendering videos. 99.99% of all customers can not afford it. So it is better use services like Youtube.
And yes every video can be checked before release. No problem.

Hi. The supported sources are here – http://www.videocontest.w4y.cz/video-sources/ . There is no future charges for new updates. Acutally i am on very new version 2.0 with lot of new features like categories, Buddypress integration or multicontests version. Additional fields like you need will be in one of next version. But at this time it is not possible

I just purchased the plug-in.
After I installed and setup it up, I have a question about after the contest is end.
Once the contest is over, can this old contests (with all videos and information) can be kept as history or in archive page?
In one of your reply to another question (from adboard) in 9 months ago, you reply was: “Hi. Thank you for your suggestions. Actually in next version will be added opinion to do more than one contest at the time so you can let the old contest on his page and non of URL will not be dead.”
So I am wondering is the new version can support that or not yet.
If it is not, is there any way we can easily to keep all old contests so people can still watch the videos in the old contests?

Sorry it is not possible at this time. And yes you have truth i want to do it. But i was sick some time but i am better now. So yes in next version will be multicontest option

hi, i am using your plugin. If you can add these 2 points for the future updates, it will really take your plugin to a new high level. - 1) Ajax loading of all videos, sections etc. its sort of vital. 2) currently only 1 contest can be active at a time. what if i want to do more than one different contest at the same time? this is something whcih is going to be helpful to many as its requirement of many.

Users can submit videos hosted on Youtube, Vimeo or DailyMotion. Five layers of protection is fraud protection. Every vote going through five filters so every vote is 5 times checked.

Hi, I just purchased and installed. I uploaded a video, which worked fine, but after I done so, it said I had uploaded 2 videos, and there was indeed a duplicate. Then, when I click on a video, I am brought to a page that has the name of the video and my comment, as well as the sharing buttons, but the area where the video is supposed to be displayed is blank. What could be wrong?
I figured it out. My site forces https:// and the plugin is hardcoded to http:// which means that iframe content isn’t displayed. I removed “http:” from the link and it works. Please fee free to update the plugin. Haven’t had time to debug the dual video entry yet though.

Thanks, but I think you are better off just dropping the protocol altogether. Just leave ”//” and it will automatically adapt to the page.
However, I still have the problem that when I upload, two entries are created. Here is the message I get after uploading a video: “You can upload max. 1 video(s). You have already uploaded 2 video(s). Thank you for your videos.” And when I navigate to the videos page, there are indeed two entries. Can you look into this please?
Hello again, just a quick status check on the duplicate entries. A recent submission generated 4 identical entries, despite only allowing 1.
Hi. I do not understand what can be wrong. Becouse the video is actually uploaded by wordpress as ordinary common post. My suggestion is disable all plugins (only disable not delete) just for testing and try do the upload again. Next time send me an message through support form i can react sooner

Hi. What you mean. This is the same code as on the page with sidebar. It is automatical respect width of the page
On your demo page with no sidebar the video are lager in the layout. With sidebar is too small for us. I need help adjusting the size of the video with and without side bar
The video screen always resize the size. But all videos are in original embed code and that embed code is iframe. So it is possible that your theme have own CSS rules for iframes tag. Can you send me an URL through support form?

I might have misunderstood your first reply “one day” it wasn’t a fixed time period but a maybe ? So let say i buy the two items how hard will it be for programer to copy paste the fonctionalities from photo contest to video contest ? And will you be able to help (answering questions) ?
1. Multiple contests and categories will be in this year. it is not like that that you can copy and paste functions.

It licenced simple responisive menu – https://codecanyon.net/item/simple-responsive-menu/4169481 But what i know this is very unusual it must be some CSS collision with your theme. It can not be fixed becouse the theme have always superior CSS.

Firstly, plugin looks great!
Only a few questions that would make the plugin perfect to our needs:
1. Is it possible to add custom fields to the ‘Add Video’ section?
2. Is it possible to use ‘tags’ and/or ‘category’s’ in some form to the plugin and/or form and so that users can select their category and then videos in that category could be shown and not all videos?
3. Related to the above, we can see that there is a drop down menu on the far right with newest, oldest, etc – if it is possible to use tags/category’s, is it possible to also have a similar drop down menu for those items?
4. Does the plugin create a new Wordpress user or just a basic user submission?
5. Is it possible to disable/hide some menu items e.g. Rules & Prizes, Your Videos

1. No at this time. I will do that in one of next version. I do some optional section like gender, tel. number, age, country etc.
2. Also categories will be created in next version.
3. I do not know there lot of informations and the menu must work on basic page (with sidebar) and even on mobile devices. So it must be space for that.
4. Plugin create ordinary WordPress User
5. Not at this time again. I will do in next version option to change text in the menu and also hide some buttons (not all but some)

If the above is not possible, would it be possible to just an extra field manually within the plugin registration form and once it is completed it also shows below the video? For example, Videos currently show a users name and the caption entered, as well as the video above the text. We would just want to add an extra line of text for the category entered. How difficult would that be to do?
In the worst case scenario, is it possible to make the ‘Description’ field required? We can maybe work around it then and make a user enter their category within that field. Thank you for all you help.
