I have a pre-purchase question: We are looking for a portfolio similar to the one on this site: http://www.littleglobe.org/projects/ Would your portfolio plugin allow for similar functionality? We need the titles on the squares and a description on rollover. The entire square should then click to the portfolio item. A light box is not needed. The individual portfolio items should have PREVIOUS / NEXT links.

You can disable the image sliding effect so when you hover the item the image will remain visible.
You can also customize it with a little bit of CSS so the entire item is a link. If you buy the plugin contact us and we will give you the instructions.

I’ve created multiple categories with links to each. For some reason, the categories are not showing all the items on that page.
I have set it to show 15 items, as it does on the main gallery page below: http://72.29.80.176/~littcodev/gallery/ On the category page, it will only show 4 items for some reason: http://72.29.80.176/~littcodev/portfolio-category/multi-family-assisted-living/Can you show me where to adjust this to show all items on the category page?

Hi, maybe there was some error in the update process. Try removing the plugin and installing it again.
If that doesn’t work try enabling the “Ajax Fix” in the advanced options.
Hi there, few questions, 1. the portfolio style disappear once i do a wordpress update, I have tired 2 times at least, what wrong with it? I do not have link to show you as the web is on live, i have stored to the last wordpress version.
2. Is there any way to change the overlay color by category? for example assign red to be category A and green to category B?
3. I have both category and tag filter enabled, how can i change the text “all” to “all category” and “all tag” respectively?

Hi, we have updated WordPress many times and never did that happen. Also many other people use this plugin for a long time now and nobody has had that problem and there is no reason that should happen so I can only assume that has nothing to do with Viba Portfolio
You can’t set color for category but you can set custom colors for each item. So for items in one category use one color and for other category use other color for that portfolio item. In the option for that style enable the multi-color option.
There is no default option to use both category and tag filter so I assume you made some customization. You can change the “All” text in the portfolio options under translations.
Hi, for question 1, I find that is not related to the update, as i have turn off auto update. And it is not just disappear, all the viba-portfolio settings were reset, in a unknown period of time. Any solution?

They are disabled and i haven’t touch the web for a while, suddenly my client say that their portfolio page got no style error. (they do not have the right to manage plugin)

Hi, yes you can do that.
You will need to set the featured image for the portfolio thumbnail and then use the gallery format and add only one image to the gallery.

Hi, I’m trying to add some metaboxes to your plugin. I added the code in the file “setup_metaboxes.php” and in the “Add new Portfolio” everything works fine. But when I try to add the content to a file called “meta_data.php” (created by duplicating an existing meta file) I receive an error:

Hi, we don’t know exactly what have you done without seeing the code but you can’t just add random code into random template and expect it to work.
Don’t modify viba portfolio files. You can modify templates by creating a new folder in your theme folder, see http://plugins.apalodi.com/viba-portfolio/documentation/#dev-intro
You can create new metaboxes for viba portfolio just like you create new metaboxes for everything else. There a default WordPress functions that does that. Creating new metaboxes has nothing to do with VIba, it’s completely WordPress thing.
Hi, I added some metaboxes using the same code you used. The fields are under “Client”, “Project url” and so on, but I can’t display in the single portfolio.

We said in that comment: You need to add new metaboxes and then customize the meta template to print your new informations. You need to be a developer to know how to do that.
This is advanced customization and it isn’t supported and also your support has expired.
You will need to know how to create custom metaboxes for custom post types (viba_portfolio is a custom post type used by this plugin). There are a lot of tutorials how to do that.
It’s better to use support@apalodi.com if you want to show some code.
Hi, I added some metaboxes using functions.php file. The values are regularly saved (if I close the project and open it again, the values are still in the metaboxes), but when I try to echo them in your meta.php file (I created a viba-portfolio folder in my WP theme) anything happens.

If you are using meta.php then that meta.php needs to be inside viba-portfolio/single/meta.php.

It doesn’t really slide. When the item is closed the page height decreases and items get into view because there is no space below to scroll. It’s the end of the page.
If this portfolio was in the middle of the page then it would work just like yours.

I wanted to know how I could have arrows on my pictures (that are zoomed when I click on it) to navigate through all my pictures from the same category? Hi, you are using a very old PHP version PHP 5.2.
PHP 5.2 was realesed in 2006. The current version is 7. You should at least have PHP 5.4 or PHP 5.3. Not just because of Viba Portfolio but many other plugins and themes are developed for at least PHP 5.3.
Every hosting should have the option to use at least the PHP 5.4.
Hi. I use your plugin for a long time. Now i want to start using archive pages. But there are only 10 items showing up on archive pages (eg. http://www.avp-media.ch/portfolio-kategorie/film) although there are much more items using this category. Where can i set number of showing items? or in the best case use unlimited setting. Thanks for you answer. AVP
Hi, in the “Default” style under “General” tab there is an option “Number of Portfolio Items”.
