Can I add videos from other sites like in iframe embed. Or should it only be hosted on vimeo, YouTube or self-hosted?

I do not understand the real seo value with the Image/Video Contest plugins. When the contests reset, then what are dead links worth? Once the contest ends, will the traffic not end up going to dead not-found links where the videos where? You do not exactly say what happens after the contest ends, and the old images/videos just vanish. If you want to maintain seo links, then I suggest a feature; When any contest ends, then admin is notified of the winner (with name/email) for any prize purposes, and the old images/videos should be moved to an an archive page for contests that have ended, new traffic still see the link, and video, however, they are notified on screen that this contest has ended, and a link will be presented under/over that image/video to show them where the current contest link is, so unless I am missing something, it does not improve seo unless the link remains giving direction to the traffic on where to go next, then you build SEO links. Please explain, as I am interested in both, however, in their current condition, I just do not see how the seo would be any good when the contests end. Too many dead links will only hurt your seo, not help. I think you should go another step, make it look more professional and use SEO urls.
Hi. Thank you for your suggestions. Actually in next version will be added opinion to do more than one contest at the time so you can let the old contest on his page and non of URL will not be dead.
Your plugin look good for me but I got just a few question before.
1) Can I set up more field for user registration? For example: First Name, Last Name and, of course, email?
2) Is there a way to view (in backend) all partecipants with their registration data and export them in a useful CSV file?

1. No 2. Yes becouse all participants are WordPress users as well. Sou you just need some plugin for that (someting like that https://wordpress.org/plugins/export-user-data/) – (i do not know that plugin personally)
Still about 1) Can’t even edit the plugin thus letting users register with firtst name, last name, username and email?

Despite proper installation of the plugin, unfortunately, failed. After the introduction of movies on page fallen, I should get a refund of the purchase, it is a scandal that the plug is unstable !!!
Plugin is working. You can ask before you buy plugin or you can test demo so you can find that plugin is for Youtube videos. Plugin is stable actually I did not have to repair this plugin since february.
Hi, great plugin. It will be cool to have soundcloud too, so one can have user vote on songs too. I always wanted to enable a way for artists to submit their videos and songs to my website and my visitors could vote on the songs weekly, monthly, etc. Plus, it would be great to put contest videos in Categories and List. For example, In Categories, they can submit to Comedies or Music Videos, and in List, they can submit to Top 10 music videos this week or Top 5 comedy videos this week. That will be really really cool. I hope you will consider. Thanks

I would like to purchase this plugin but have 2 major issues. 1: I see that it is restricted by IP. To me this is a big disadvantage as there are many colleges/dorms and even homes where people have to share the same device/IP. Is there an option to use login/registration only? 2: Have you upgraded this to be able to use other video hosting platforms other than Youtube yet?
As always, I am another one that needs a response ASAP to this get this projects up and running.

1 ) I can remove IP restriction for you. Yes For contestant is registration required and for voting is special option that can vote only registered users 2) No at this time
Thank you for the reply. I have purchased your plugin and would like to be able to turn off IP but the voter has to be registered. Also, the install and setup went just fine, but when I add a video from youtube the thumbnail shows the broken icon with the 3 dots. When you try to view the video it says “An error occurred, please try again later”. I have tried several different videos. Please advise so I can get this up and running. Thanks.

Hi Alfinator, can you recommend a theme that this can be used with, I don’t need anything particularly special as I will create a child theme and apply a design and layout through that. If you can provide a list of themes it has been checked against then I can choose to use one of those. Thanks.
I am having a problem in set up. The start date of the contest CANNOT be the day of image upload. I have a contest starting on January 0, 2016 and if you go to hit upload no upload is allowed and a message states contest hasn’t started.
Well you need to allow in all cases of a contest upload time and a week or two at least for contest submittals. I must have done something wrong but I have a start and end date only on my settings.
Sure. Contest start and when vote begins are two dates so you can run contest and you can set when vote begins. Example you run the contest and contestants can upload images but it is not possilbe to vote… so after registration ends vote begins to the end of the contest. You have all power when and what starts. You can of course set allow vote even before registration ends …this is up to you.
Example you start the contest 1 November and you set the end of registration to the contest to 10 Nov so contestants can upload images only between these dates (1-10). Now you set that vote begins 11 Nov and contest ends 30. Nov so only between 11-30 Nov can users vote but it is not possible upload contest images.

Problem with themes… yes, but only when is Theme with HTML errors. My plugin was checked with 30 themes and was checked through Plugin Check an Theme check and was checked by Envato

There are a lot of conflicts between this plugin and different wordpress themes related to the JS . How can we manage this? I would like a refund if this plugin cant be used with modern themes and sliders.
Any theme have superior CSS style. So if the CSS have !important note by some rules so it can affect plugin (every plugin)

Hello, I am using the WP built in search to search for video contest entries, its displays the search results with all the matched entries, but when clicked on entries nothing shows up. Its a blank page with only the title of the entry.
