I installed the plugin, but gives errors in the web links. links stop working. I tried it with different themes and is the same. I had to uninstall the plugin. Is there a solution?

Hello,

How do you mean ‘web links’? The links no longer works on your website? Please send me your website URL via my profile page mail sender to check the issue.

Regards,
Pantherius

what does not work is when I copy the code and stick it on a page. that’s when some links do not work correctly, especially using Safari and Firefox.

Another question is: how can I do that the survey does not take me the whole page?

Just got your email and checked your website. You using the survey in modal mode, so it is displayed in front of the content, like a popup. Therefore it is normal, when it’s cover some elements.

You may embed the survey into the content, read more about this here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/documentation/#line11

If you disable the Global Survey checkbox on your Survey edit screen, then you can display it via shortcodes. Shortcodes allows you to set a specified width for the survey. For further details, please check out the documentation above.

Hello,

I have two questions:

1) Can you display the result alone on a different page than the poll? 2) If it’s possible, does the result refresh automatically?

Thank you!

Hello,

1. Yes, it can be displayed via shortcodes based on the survey ID on any page / post.

2. It needs a page refresh / reload to show the actual results. That means, if the results and the survey are on the same page and you filled out the survey, the result will be refreshed when you reload the page. By the way, the plugin offer an option to redirect the browser after the completion of the poll.

Thanks! Last question. Is it possible to add custom CSS?

You’re welcome!
Adding custom CSS code is possible by editing the plugin’s CSS file at the moment.

Hello,

I have to questions:

1) Is it possible to prevent users doing a survey or quiz two times (e.g. by checking for the IP or cookie?) (of course this can be cheated but I just want to have a little hurdle) Edit: Oh I found this point your documentation, it seems to be an option in the general settings.

2) I want to make a poll where you can win something if you participate. So you have to enter an eMail-adress which has to be saved/exported with the poll data – but not displayed in the results page / statistics. Afterwards, when the results of the poll are displayed, the people should be able to sign up for a newsletter (MailChimp) with the given email address. Do you think I can archive this without have to do changes in the plugin source code?

Thanks!

Hello veganz,

1. Yes, the plugin can display the survey once for the same users using cookies. (As you mentioned, it is in the General Settings)

2. Definitely yes. You can ask for the email and / or name, then automatically sign up for your MailChimp list. The participants details are visible on the admin.

Hello,

I need Picture Interest Career Survey on my WP website. The question and answer is totally from this book (http://transitioncoalition.org/blog/assessment-review/picture-interest-career-survey-pics/) and users can choose more than 1 answers. At the end of the quiz survey, the answer will show what is your interest (R-Realistic, S-Social, I-Investigative, E-Enterprising, A-Artistic and C-Conventional).

The quiz should have progress button and also users can print the result.

Please help me.

*the site still under construction

Hello,

It is possible to choose multiple answers and assign scores to the answers, then display a specific message or redirect the browser based on the scores. However, you can also include images instead of text answers, currently with fixed width. Probably you need a minor, one-line modification to display the images in larger sizes.

As you can see on the demo page, progress bar is optionally can be shown.

I am wondering what is the point of the updates every second day, can you just make this plugin more friendly and simple to use, it is full of confusing features, high load, customers always looking for simple, easy to use, and fast plugin, those are the keys which make you generate real sales

Hello,

As you can read in the changelog, I’m trying to add those minor additional features, that has been requested from my clients. I’m sure, the plugin doesn’t generate high load, so please check your website with any performance analyzer, like P3 Profiler.

Sorry to hear that, the plugin isn’t clear enough or user-friendly for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Pantherius

The problem too many features in one plugin, if it is more simple it will be more friendly to use, you have lots of creative ideas, your problem you want to put them in one place, taking lots of time and efforts from you, by the end sales rate would never be same as someone created a simple basic wordpress template and generate thousands of sales, it is an advice, do not put all your time and efforts in one place, try to create something new and keep updating this plugin when it is needed, i meant to say you can create template called wordpress Survey for example and include such features on it, since you have time and working hard, you should make good sales, try to crate new creative items, I feel sorry for all that time you are spending when compare it to some other authors who spent half of your time and making $$$millions $$$ sales
do not worry, I do not mean to hurt is just advice

Thank you for your great advice, I’ll keep it in my mind.
However, the plugin offer many features, you don’t need to use all of them. The success depends on several things, unfortunately sometimes doesn’t enough to create a simple plugin to achieve that. But you’re right, it is important to keep it as simple as possible.

Anyway, I’m satisfied with the current sales since it is my best-seller plugin and I never got a feedback about any user-friendly issues, except from you. I’ll try to find out a way to make it more better, simple and user-friendly in the future.

Thanks for your time to give me your feedback!

Hi Pantherius,

I would like to use this plugin as the voting system for an online competition/award, so I wouldn’t be asking questions, just requesting that visitors select whom they think should win the competition. Is this possible with this plugin?

Also, Is it possible to display multiple polls on a single page?

Thanks

Hello,

You can insert surveys via shortcodes, like:

[modal_survey id=”12345”]

To embed it, just add style=”flat”:

[modal_survey id=”12345” style=”flat”]

Replace the id with your survey ID. In this case, please uncheck the Global Survey checkbox to avoid multiple display of the same survey.
It is also possible to automatically embed the poll into all of your pages or posts with the Mode select box in the survey edit screen. The shortcode is visible on the top-right corner when you editing the poll.

Regards,
Pantherius

Thanks Pantherius,

I’ve set it up.

I was wondering if there is a way to integrate the survey with my mailing list, so that people must submit their names and email details before completing the survey/vote?

You’re welcome!

Just enable the Participants Form, that will displayed before show the results. There are many Newsletter Service Providers supported, please check it in the survey edit screen.

Hi,

I have created a personality test using the plugin. The surveys contains 40+ questions which are all ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers. I have managed to display the results in a radar chart on the final page toward the 4 outlined personality types – but ideally what I want is to redirect to 4 different pages (all containing this radar chart) depending on what the highest scoring personality type is. So for example I can use text copy explaining the personality type they are and images etc.

Would you be able to let me know if this is possible, and how you would go about it?

Thanks,

Hello,

New version of the plugin will be available in the next 48 hours, that will solve the chart color issue and also provides a solution to set conditions for the highest and lowest personality scores.

I’ll let you know when the new version has been released.

Best regards,
Pantherius

awesome thanks so much

It’s just released. You’re welcome!

Is there anywhere where I can see a demo of how I use this so I can test it out before I purchase??

I am trying to do this but your plugin is very confusing

Sorry, do you have any question here? Confusing what?

I have managed to sort the problem, it’s me and not your plugin – DOH!

Hi,

Back again! So I purchased your plugin and I have two questions:

1) Is there is any way to display multiple questions instead of just one? 2) How do I prevent the animation for the questions? There doesn’t seem to be an option in the settings for Survey Options.

Thank you!

Hello,

Just would like to letting you know, the new version has been released. The result shortcode now support score, average-score and rating via text format as well.

Regards,
Pantherius

Thanks for the update!

You’re very welcome!

Hi there,

I want to implement a score based personal stress test like this here:

http://www.stress-no-stress.ch/checkp/checkp.php?language=de

With many questions and a score for analysis. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon,

Yes, you can assign scores to the answers, create as many questions as you wish then visualize the result on charts.

Check out the personality test example here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/personality-test-with-individual-chart

Hi there,

I was wondering if this plugin can be made to integrate with buddypress?

Hello,

I didn’t tested it with BuddyPress yet, but it is already on my TODO list to check it and make it supported. At the moment, it is support bbPress.

Pantherius

Hi Pantherius Team,

Im very interested in buying the plugin, can you tell me if this scenario is feasible:

- Im trying to build a “quiz” with x multiple choice questions. (more choices are possible) - Each choice within a question should be assigned with x points - Depending on the amount of points the user will see a landing page (0-5 page1, 6-10 page2, etc…) - I would also like to show the user the visualisation of his data and eventualy of all of the data provided so far..

thx for any infos!

Dear Pantherius,

so far so good.. trying to push the possibilities of the plugin to the limit.

Any chance to do the redirects depending on the categories scores?

if (cat1score>x & cat2score>y & cat3score >z ) than redirect to page x

or do anything with the conditionals depending on the categories scores?

i also have a problem with displaying the form (name & email) before displaying the results.. any idea or known issues with that? could it have sth. to do with the redirect? Its simply being omitted.

regards!

Hello,

Since the categories created in runtime, creating conditions based on the category scores is not a feature yet. However, it is a really good idea, so I’ll considering to find out the way to implement this option. Furthermore, adding complex conditions is also the part of the future plans only. ( like AND conditions in your example )

I know there are still many possibilities in the plugin and I’ll try to implement as much as possible.

At the moment, you can do the redirect by category scores with a customization.

No, I don’t know about any issues with the participants form. Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hi creativeconstruction,

Just would like to inform you, the new version of the plugin just released, that will allows you to set conditions by the category scores.

Best regards,
Pantherius

First question: How do I delete the question “Do you like this website?” that always comes as the first question with every new survey? It doesn’t have the option to delete.

Second question: Can user leave the survey half way and then just continue next time they log in?

Third question After the survey is completed I want to show the user their answers, but only their own answers, not the statistics for all participants. Can that be done?

Thank you!

Hello,

- The first is a sample question, that you can edit when you start building your survey. Alternatively, close the question accordions, then reorder with dragging the second question to the place of the first one. Save the survey, refresh the page then you can delete the second question (that was the first before it has been rearranged)

- No, it is not a feature at the moment, but really good idea. Just added to my TODO list.

- Yes, use the Conditions to display individual chart at the end, read more on the following link: Conditions

Hi,

I am currently using the free version of this plugin and for some reason, the quiz will randomly disappear from the page that I have put it on. It seems to happen whenever I make an edit and will only show again if I reset the quiz. What can I do to make sure the quiz doesn’t go away? Are there any particular triggers that makes the quiz disappear?

Thank You

Hello,

First of all, please use the free version support forum for questions about the free version. The survey automatically displayed once for the same users to avoid duplication and multiple votes in the free version. This option can be set in the premium version.

Pantherius

I have a client that wants us to add a survey/poll to their site which is easy enough, but they want an area for comments that would be sent to a private party only and the result of the poll to be public. Is something like that possible?

You’re welcome!

Yes, I see now. However, the plugin provides a text input as I mentioned before, but it doesn’t send the answer by email.

Regards,
Pantherius

Sounds good, thank you very much!

You’re welcome!

Hi, this looks like a good option for my current project, is it possible to add an email sign-up option on poll completion?

Hello,

The plugin already provide the option to ask for the participants name and email address, then pass them to your existing newsletter campaign. (MailChimp, Active Campaign, Benchmark, etc.)

See the full list and the detailed description in the documentation here.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Oh excellent, thank you!

You’re very welcome!

Hi pantherius,

I want to embed Modal Survey to posts end. It works fine with posts but also it is displayed on each pages end. I’m your customer from yesterday so correct me if I’m wrong, but there is no similar feature for pages on Survey Options. I added shortcode on a single page and no objection. Can you please guide me how can I disable Modal Survey on pages end? I didn’t mention that it is visible on ends only with Global Survey enabled what force me to display Modal Survey on entire website in such a shape, just take a look: http://s12.postimg.org/l9a531d2l/sc1_v2.gif. Duplicated first question is displaying on the top of my website, each post and page. So far I disabled Global Survey and I’m having page with shortcode to display it with no inconvenience. I also tried to apply shortcode or even a link with the survey to ad area below post from my theme panel without a result. Those ad areas don’t apply a shortcode and I noticed this before with different plugin. What’s more I thought it can be caused by a plugin so I disabled all of them on my list except Survey Option. Nothing has changed. How can I fix it?

Hello,

Please send me your website URL with login details via my CodeCanyon profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check the issue directly on your website.

Regards,
Pantherius

Hallo, Pantherius, Your work looks great and works great! I purchased this plugin but I notice now that I can’t use it for wat I want. But what I need is a personal questionnaire where at the end the person gets his results on screen and send by email. The results are only pieces of text depending on the score (1-5 scale). Do you add this features in the future? And know do you know an alternative?

thank you!

Hello,

Thank you!
It is already possible to display an individual score chart at the end of the survey with the conditions:

Individual Charts – Modal Survey Documentation

If you would like to display texts only, it can be also achieved by the conditions. Sending the results by email is not a feature yet, but I’ll considering to add in any of the upcoming releases.

Regards,
Pantherius

Hello.. I am thinking about displaying results separated by whether someone is registered, or not.
Like give stronger weighting to repsonses from registered users and display at the top, and underneath, results from the unregistered masses. Is this possible?
Thanks, Brian.
  • I assume unregistered visitors can submit

Since you would like to display different results regarding to your example, I have to say again, the plugin doesn’t able to display the votes by members (registered) and guests (non-registered). It displays the cumulated results, that includes all votes, like:

Hello worlds!

33 users like cats
44 users like dogs

Best regards,
Pantherius

Yes I had my doubts but thought I would ask.
It might be an interesting feature though. One set of results is more credible, sort of premium, more trustworthy, plus attracts people to register if their voice is more important. For most web sites these days one of the most difficult challenges is getting people to register.
The other unregistered set is less credible, more risk of spammers etc. Anyway maybe you would consider this for the future.
Thanks.

Yes, it is definitely a good idea and I’ll considering to add this feature in any of the next releases.

Best regards,
Pantherius

for analyzing data, do we get to know from which urls(pages/posts on the site) user are giving their feedback. Also is it possible to display different survey/feedback questions on different posts/pages / categories etc.. I am using wordpress. Please advise.

Hello,

The analysis is based on the survey at the moment, that doesn’t provide the URL. You can embed the whole survey to any page / post, but including individual question only from the survey is not a feature.

Pantherius
