Hello,
You mentioned that the plugin is WPML compatible. Can you tell me how to “translate” the redirect URL of my survey? I want to avoid to double the survey just for translation…
My question is in the page title, answers are photo’s and codes so that’s the only remaining thing… Thank you message is hidden & “already voted” message is feasible on the translated page…
Please help
Hello,
WPML Compatible means, you can translate all texts, but it doesn’t allow to “translate” features, like redirect URL.
You have few options:
1. Duplicate the survey
2. Translate the page. If you using shortcodes, then maybe you can find a 3rd party plugin that add shortcodes by language.
3. Search for a plugin, that allows a redirection by the incoming parameters. So if the URL already provide the language in the URL, it can make a new redirection.
4. With hard customization, you can modify the plugin to add conditions to the redirection. In this case, you may use the redirection option in the Conditions accordion, but it really need a hard customization.(I don’t think it is worth instead of the duplication)

Pantherius
Hmm, too bad… I will check my options.
It would be ideal if you can check “make xxx translatable” and then just create your variant in the other language. Works like that for a lot of other stuff I used already…
Unfortunately, WPML doesn’t allow to translate variables, but I’ll considering to find out a solution, if it is possible.

Thank you in advance!
Arnout

Hi! Pre-purchase question:
Is it possible to filter the results? Example:
I want to se what alle the people that answered “male” in question 1 answered in question 5.
And is it possible not to let the voters see the overall score of the votes?
Best regards, Vidar
Hello Vidar,
It is possible to see the results of each participants, but you can’t filter it by answers at the moment.
Displaying the chart at the end of the survey with the detailed results is optional. Showing charts without numbers is not a feature.

Hi, I have a question about this quiz: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/multiple-answers/
Is it possible to display the final score at the end instead of displaying “Thank you for the feedback”?
Hello,
Yes, you can display it using joker tags.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Pre-purchase question. Is there anyway to track the time it took for each user to take the quiz?
Hello,
No, timer is not a feature yet.

Hello, on the documentation it says:
Cumulated chart based on scores should be great choice for Personality Tests, that summarize the participant characteristics to display it on a radar chart: Shortcode: [survey_answers id=”821776765” style=”radarchart” data=”score”]
But this doesn’t give me a single PARTICIPANT characteristics, it gives me all of the previous PARTICIPANTS or cumulated users scores.
How can i use a shortcode to display the chart of the single current user? i know there’s the condition to display Individual chart at the end of the survey, but it can display only one chart at a time and it seams that you can’t use any modifiers on the individual chart (except for the style), as to display it in ascending order, group different answers in each graph or get answers in plain text from this user as in [survey_answers id=”121234344” qid=”1” aid=”1” style=”plain” data=”answer”], this works for the cumulated users, but not for the single current user.
I’m trying to display the current user results with different kinds of charts and different grouping to the answers: Site: http://conoce.ver.itesm.mx/piv/
Please help.
Hello,
You can access the single user characteristics on the participants page on admin with all available charts. Including it into a page / post via shortcode is not a feature yet, but it is already on my TODO list. Hopefully it will be added in the upcoming release in the next few weeks.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Hello,

Hi, can users register on the frontend and create surveys on the frontend?
Hello,
No, surveys can be created on the backend admin area only.

I have several surveys now set up & working fine but I’m not sure if the system will be able to display the results that I need.
What I am trying to achieve is a monitoring system for my mother dementia illness. The surveys are for things like, mood, confusion level, medication, anger level etc and I want to be able to compare results over time so we can see how she is progressing and if any one factor is influencing another.
I have used a 1-5 answer score.
is there a way results can…. 1 – be somehow archived as a weekly or monthly block? 2 – get a flowchart style graph where scores are displayed as an overlaying series of lines along a time line
1. The participants page show you the votes individually by users. You may enable the Participants Form and set the name, that fit to the period, like Firstname Lastname 2015 Oct With this method, the surveys will be organized by the name and you can find the older surveys as well.
2. It is not a feature yet, but comparing two participants results with the same survey is already on my TODO list.

Pantherius
I sent you an email… but finally figured out that you can use brackets in the question like: “Do you like playing sports? [Outdoor]” so that several questions can be linked to the “Outdoor” personality.
Now… is there a way i can link each answer to different personalities?
For example, when asking: Do you like playing soccer?
Answer: Yes (Outdoor) (Social) – 100%
Would give points to both your Outdoor personality and your Social personality, since soccer involves both being outside and being with friends.
Is there a way i can do that? that would make this the most perfect Personality Quiz Plugin ever.
Hi,
Just sent you the reply with the exported Personality Test file.
No, the questions can be assigned to the personalities (each question to one personality), but you can assign as many questions to the same personality.
I’ll considering to add the option to assign the same question to different categories as you mentioned in one of the upcoming releases.

I am trying to embed the surveys into pages – I have used the menu bar icon to do so – the survey are not set global however they survey does not appear on the page – it will only hover above the page
Hello,
Please add style=”flat” to the shortcode to display it embed.
Regards,
Pantherius
I had already tried that – i have spent about 2 frustrating hours trying to set up a basic set of surveys with no luck – i downloaded another plug-in and had it working in 10 mins – i don’t suppose you offer any sort of money back guarantee?
Sorry to hear that. If the F.A.Q. here doesn’t help, please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to solve the issue.
Unfortunately, refund and all financial transaction is out of my control, it is managed by Envato.
Best regards,
Pantherius
ok – thanks I have sent you log in deatils
I got it to work – thanks anyway – I may well be in touch again soon
Happy to hear that, the issue has been solved. You’re welcome!

Hi, I’m trying to embed a survey into a post, but nothing is showing. I’m using the shortcode: [modalsurvey id=”722651836” style=”flat”] in the body and ‘Global Survey’ is disabled as per the documentations.
Please Help!
Please disregard my message, I reset the survey and for some reason it seems to be working now.
Happy to hear that. Please check out the ‘Display once per User’ and ‘Display once per Filled Out’ options in the General Setttings. It was the reason why the survey didn’t appear on the page.
The reset button restart the survey for all users to vote again. (once)

Hi, can you create bar of pie charts? For example if a user first identifies themselves as a 1.man 2.woman and then votes 1. yes or 2. no. I need both results displayed at once as a bar of pie chart. Possible? Thanks
Hello,
You can display the results via Pie Chart and Bar Chart as well.
See the examples here:
Modal Survey with Pie Chart
Modal Survey with Bar Chart
It is also possible to display on the same page.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Hi,
what I need is a bar of pie. Like so http://j-walkblog.com/images/piechartalternative2.png
The purpose is to identify a responder as either A or B and then show how many A’s said “no” & “yes” and how many B’s said “no” & “yes”
Thaks Kristina
Hello Kristina,
I see now. Sorry, this type of chart is not a feature at the moment.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Sounds like a great plugin. I am interested in using it together with bbPress to allow users on my site to rate Forum Topics. Would it be possible using this plugin?
Thank you!
If you create a survey for each topics, then yes.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Thanks for replying so swiftly.
Is it possible to automatically create a survey for each topic, say within a specific forum?
Best regards, Michael
You’re welcome! Unfortunately, it is not a feature yet.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Hello Michael,
Happy to announce, the new version that released today is support bbPress now. That means, you can create a survey and add automatically to all of your topics or embed it to an individual topic via shortcode. The votes are visible on each topic edit page via charts.

Hi, How can i show result in order by collected the most votes. With the highest number of votes? I’m using flat\list mode.
Hello,
Just working on to set order for the results.
It will be released on this week.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Thank you! One more question.
When client already vote. Can i show him a message? Now its a blank page. I use flat embed style.
P.S Redirect from settings dont work with flat style…
You’re welcome!
Please specify a message, like this:
[modalsurvey id=”12345” message=”You already filled out this survey”]
Just tried out the redirection and it is works well for me. If you have links in the end message or you set the End Delay to 0sec, then the redirection automatically disabled. Anyway, you can also add redirection in the Conditions tab.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Thank for quick response!
I’ll be waiting for your order settings this week!
The new version just has been released. Please add order=”desc” to the shortcode.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Wow. You are fast!
But, unfortunately in my case this didnt work… Here my shortcode http://screencloud.net/v/hs6K
Thank you!
So sorry, it is my fault! Please use sort=”asc” instead of the order attribute.
Regards,
Pantherius
It’s work! Thank you so much! Don’t forget to change docs about order\sort
Happy to hear that, you are very welcome!
The strange thing it is written well into the documentation. Probably, I was pretty tired and that caused the mistake I told you the wrong attribute. Sorry again!
Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello,
Question: does your survey form allow for chained questions. (ie the answer to a question would direct them to the next question).?
thank you, Ken
Hello Ken,
Yes, it does. You can read about it on the plugin’s page under the ‘Control the next question’ title.
Best regards,
Pantherius
Can a user see thier results by each question compared to others who have taken the survey?
Thanks
Hello,
It is possible to add a cumulated chart to a page with shortcode and it is also possible to display the individual result at the end of the survey.
You can see a simple example here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/personality-test-with-individual-chart/
For demonstration purposes, this page display different charts, but it can be the same.
Regards,
Pantherius
How do you display a Cumulative Chart on the Dashboard!?
Hello,
You can find the cumulated pie chart in the selected survey settings in the Saved Surveys.
See the related section in the Documentation here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/wp-content/plugins/modal_survey/templates/documentation/index.html#saved_surveys
It is also possible to add a shortcode to a new page to display charts, then set it to private or password protected via the WordPress default page options.
Best regards,
Pantherius
