We’re utilizing this plugin to have our clients review our services. The issue is that it doesn’t seem we can separate individual from the overall aggregate data. Is there a way for us to track which users (by way of tracking code such as UTM tags?) left which reviews?

Please deactivate, then activate back the plugin and clear the cache if you using any caching plugin.

If the issue still exists, please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.

I deactivated and activated again, same issue. I deactivated and deleted the plugin and reinstalled fresh again. Created a sample question and the issue still persists. I’ve sent you login details via profile page mail sender.

Thanks, just got it and fixed the issue. Please check it and let me know, how does it work for you now.

Hello,

I have pre-sales question about this plugin.

Does it support front-end survey/polls submission? If not, is it possible for me to create an extension plugin? And does it have social sharing feature?

Thanks!

You’re welcome! No, users can’t create polls on the frontend. The plugin provides many of options to create a survey via the admin panel, therefore it is not possible via the frontend area.

Alternatively, you can allow to create surveys via the admin panel for logged in users with some customization in the plugin’s code. At the moment, only the administrator can reach the plugin’s admin area, but it can be change to other roles in the plugin’s main file.

Hi Pantherius,

I’m trying to embed image poll like on this page http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/quiz-with-images-and-progress-bar/, but I can’t get it works with this shortcode “[modalsurvey id=1536057076 style=flat visible=true]”. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks! Yudhistira

Hello Yudhistira,

Please set the ‘Initialize plugin’ to ‘when print the content’ in the plugin’s General Settings since some themes doesn’t have a valid header and footer. The shortcode looks fine.

If the issue still exists, please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check the issue.

I want to create a poll for customers that redirects them after, based on their answers. The poll needs to calculate responses, weigh them, and redirect them to a page if their responses meet the criteria (assigned values). I saw you mention you were working on this a few months ago, but am unsure if it’s possible in the current version. Is this possible yet?

Hello,

Yes, it is possible now. You can assign scores to each answers and add a condition to redirect the browser based on the final score (lower, higher or equal with a specified value) at the end of the survey.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Excellent, thanks!

You’re welcome!

Hi, Pantherius I can not add new answer in the survey. I mean that after I add a new answer, I c click on it, but no show the area for editing.

Hello,

Probably, you have a JavaScript error on your admin that prevents to work the plugin correctly. First, please try out in Chrome. If the issue still exists, deactivate the other plugins to find out which one causing the conflict.

If you have still difficulties with that, please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.

Pantherius

I just bought the plugin and everything seems to be working fine, however, when in Modal, if you decrease the width, it never centers even when set to, it always aligns to the right when the width is less than 100%

Hello,

Probably the theme style overwrite the plugin’s style. Could you provide me a link to check the issue?

Best regards,
Pantherius

I will send you a private message with the URL.

Thank you for the URL, just got it.
Please add the following lines to the beginning of the templates/assets/css/modal_survey.css file:

.modal-survey-container {
left: 0px;
}

The next release will also contains this modification.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Can PHP be output rather than a shortcode?

Hello Ryan,

It is possible with customization only. By default, the output is work as a standard WordPress shortcode.

Question…

I need a module that need the functions of this site: http://www.vergelijkdirect.be/

a lot of parameters that have influence on the price. (age, age of kids, birthdate, ...) Is that possible with this plugin?

Hello,

No, it is not a feature at the moment. Modal Survey provides the option to create polls with selectable answers, as I feel you need a form generator instead of a survey plugin.

Regards,
Pantherius

Hi. When useing the style=”flat” in the shortcode I have to scroll to see the survey. I’d like it to appear on straightaway. What do I need to change?

Hello,

Just add visible=”true”

Regards,
Pantherius

I’ve done that but it only appears when you scroll..http://insightpmd.com/test-survey/

Just checked the source of the website and the visible parameter still passed with false value. Could you provide the full shortcode you using on this page, please?

hi, interested to have your poll plugin, but i would like to know more about the poll result sharing to social site feature, is it the Open Graph image using feature image?

Hello,

Modal Survey doesn’t provide social sharing feature at the moment, however it is already on the future features list.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello Pantherius, this is just to thank you for your really prompt, corteous and outstanding support helping me to have Modal Survey plugin up and running without a glitch! It would be nice if all software developers were so efficient. I will recommend you to all my friends Web developers. Keep up the good work ! BTW this is an unsolicited comment. Nilo from Italy

Thank you, Nilo!

Hi, I deal with your plugin. I have a pre-sales question. I want to make survey as customer based with the same questions, so I put customer name drop down at beginning. Then I want to poll /survey according to customer. Is it possible? I want to see results per customer. Is it possible? Regards

You can set to display the survey for everyone or logged-in users only. It is a plugin feature.

Alternatively, as I mentioned before:
- you can include a shortcode to display the survey and / or the results on a specified page only
- restrict the access of that page by WordPress or by any other plugin

Hope it’s clear now.

Regards,
Pantherius

ok thanks, now I am going to purchase it :)

You’re very welcome!

Hi!, I have a problem with Modal Survey. I can’t see the Result’s bar. Help, please!

http://www.universomarvel.com/que-nota-le-pones-a-ant-man/

Next to the question in the survey settings, you can find a gear icon, click on it and you will see the question options. (you have to use the latest version – 1.7.3)

It looks like there is a conflict with the progress bar. Please send me your website’s login and FTP datas via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check and fix the issue. I’ll out of my office on this weekend, so I’d like to solve it as soon as possible. (today)

Regards,
Pantherius

With the last upgrade the progress bar works fine! Thank you!

Two little things:

- The gear icon don’t work in Mozilla Firefox. I need to use Safari. - When I use a rating question, how can a user choose 0 stars?

Thank you very much! :)

Happy to hear that, you’re welcome! I’ll fix the gear icon issue in the next release, thanks for letting me know.

0 star rating is not possible, because of the math logic.

Question: I’m looking for a plugin that will suggest products based on a series of questions. For example, a user might answer A, C, E, B to a series of questions, that unique combo would result in sending the user to a specific URL; however, if they’d answered A, E, F, B then a different product/URL would be displayed. Is thi something this plugin can do? I.e. redirect to a different URL dependant on the responses?

Hello orhj100,

Yes, absolutely. You can set scores for each answers, then redirect the user based on the total score. It is some math only with the numbers.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello, I would like to know if it’s possible to create a survey and define the results to start with? For example: “How did you find this website?” Answers: Google = 37, CodeCanyon = 74. I would like my survey to start with that results already. Is this possible?

Hello JoaquimN,

It is not a built-in feature, but it is possible to do that with editing the values in the database entry.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello Pantherius. Modal Survey is a wonderful plugin indeed!! I searched a lot and your own is the most complete survey plugin of the market.

- Your Export and Graphs features are wonderful! - The answers layout is a wonderful grid! - The conditional answers are implemented! - The multiple answers feature is implemented too!

Nobody out there seems to give the same all in 1 product.

If you could: 1) add “only logged in users can vote” [a must] 2) add “username is recorded during voting session” [a must] 3) “Condorcet” voting system in multiple answers: not only users can vote multiple answers, but can give a hierarchic importance to each answer. This is a very very important feature for Politics Polls! But for everything also: “I like eating potatoes more than pasta and pasta more then onions” 4) expand the conditional logic by show/hide function for following drop down lists answers [useful for psychology, politics opinions..] 5) implement thumbnails in answers [a must for politics/sports] 6) implement classical list layout

.. you would be the best out there! You told us the points (1) and (2) are in your TODO list. Could you tell us when you believe they will be added to your plugin? What about point (3) and the others?

Thank you for your amazing work! You Rock!

Hello jacopobelluz,

Thank you! The big feature update just coming. :-)

Voting for logged in users only is already available in the latest update. ( without username at the moment )

Right now, I’m working on the following major features:

- display image in answers and questions
- add export to TXT option to open text answers
- optionally display progress bar
- set score and mark answers as correct
- set conditions at the end of the survey, like redirection or display message, depends on the total score or number of correct answers

Thank you for the great recommendations. I’ll add them to my TODO list and considering to implement them.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Thanks for the quick reply! All the best!

Hi there! I’m looking for a great plugin to use on my Wordpress site, and this one seems pretty impressive. We’d probably purchase the Modal Survey to install. However, I have a few questions. We have a plugin that links back to our email marketing automation software. Ideally, I would like to have one of our forms “integrated” with the survey so that we can know which user took a survey or quiz. I do not want to create Wordpress users for everyone who answers a survey or quiz so that I can track that they did it. That’s probably the best way for me to ask the question to start. Ideas? We are using the Wordpress plugin for Genoo. (You’d need to have a Genoo account to install it and have it work though.) You can see it in action at www.contentzap.com. Any forms on the site are Genoo forms managed by the plugin. Hope I’ve given you enough to go on… look forward to hearing back from you! Thank you so much!

Hello mjgenoo,

Thank you!

Modal Survey doesn’t save the answers individually and it is completely anonymous at the moment. With some hard customization, you can edit the plugin’s core files and connect it with other forms or plugins, but it needs advanced PHP and jQuery knowledge.

Pantherius

Hi Pantherius,

I bought the modal survey for making individual, online questionnaires with an outcome in a polar chart. However it seems to only generate cummulative results. Is this correct? How can I setup the modal survey so that it can be used for individual quesionnaires, with a direct outcome? Also, how is a radar / polar chart implemented? When I select it in the result options, they aren’t generated. Progress bars are generated.

Thanks

Hello IMAGEN_creative,

The survey doesn’t save the answers individually for each users. It is possible to display all survey results or a specified question’s results only.

If you would like to display for examply daily results, that is not a feature at the moment.

Please check the generated shortcode, you can find a “style” parameter with “polarchart” value, like:

[survey_answers id=”284084619” style=”polarchart” data=”full” qid=”” aid=”” bgcolor=”#5BC0DE” color=”#FFFFFF” hidecounter=”no” hidequestion=”no”]

If the style isn’t equal with polarchart value, please modify it manually.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Pantherius, What I would like is results of a filled in questionaire by 1 person. For example, how many times a person has answered yes or no to a question. Can the plugin deliver such results as advertised (questionnaire form), or does it only show cumulative count results for all those that participated in the survey?

The survey is anonymous, so it is currently displays the results for all participants. Questionnaire form doesn’t mean you can track each answers of each users individually. My goals to create a well-working plugin, tracking each answers individually will causing a huge database that can harm your whole website.

In the other hand, this feature is already on my TODO list and working on to planning it well. I would like to keep it simple and avoid conflicts, but it needs some time. Hopefully, I will implement it in one of the next releases.

I’ll let you know, when this feature has been added.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Will your plugin work 100% under https (ssl) presenting only secure elements to the browser? Meaning: The browser will be green (fully secure https) no secure and insecure data being presented? I need to make sure your plugin doesn’t make any non-secure calls or present any non-secure data to the client if the session is under https.

Hello,

The plugin makes one call only on the frontend and that is using the official WordPress AJAX method.

If you even have any troubles, please let me know and I’ll check it.

Best regards,
Pantherius

okay… I made the purchase last night. I’ll set up some and see how it goes the next few days.

Sure, thank you for your purchase. Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hi,

i am planning on purchasing a plug-in for Polls. I have two requirements. to explain: I would have 5 polls with same set of answer

1. Does Party X support option A option B option C 2. Does party Y support option A option B option C 3. Does party Z support option A option B option C …

Then based on polling i would like to show which party is most Pro A or B or C on the Home page not on the polling.

I need some kind of capability to link polls and poll options so as to aggregate results.

I also want the capability to drop results of a Poll or multiple polls on a page rather than the polls itself. Can i display results of polls

Would this plug in provide the above capabilities?

Hello bhavanijarajapu,

You can include any number of polls on the same page and you can display the results separatedly on different or on the same page. It is also possible the show the whole survey results or the specified question’s only.

You may check the demo page of the plugin, that demonstrate the features: Modal Survey Demo Page

Hi!

This seems like a super plugin! Thx for creating it. Few questions: - Does it allow to print results? Or could a print button with some javascript be added to a results page? - Does it allow for displaying multiple questions at once / in one display? - Does it allow for radio button or checkbox ticking, instead of button ticking?

Thx!

Hello IMAGEN_creative,

Thank you!

1. You have the option to export the survey with the results on the admin. One of the export type is PDF, that is a completely printable format. Including print button is not really related with the plugin, because you can find many of plugins that allows you to print the content. It is a normal content, so doesn’t need any special dependencies. Check out these plugins:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-print/ https://wordpress.org/plugins/print-post-and-page/

2. The plugin made for using space that required for one question only. I believe, it is provides better user experience.

3. I would like to keep the survey as simple as possible. Multiple answers, minimum required answers and text answers are available, so it is completely offers the same features as the checkboxes and radio buttons.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Awesome Pantherius, One other thing, could outcomes be compared to average outcomes of earlier participants? That option popped up and would really add value.

Since you can change the survey anytime, I don’t really know how it is possible automatically.

You can reset the survey, so the participants can vote again, but in this case the old results are deleted. I will considering about how it will be possible to implement this feature.
